164 The Crowd

The two walked along the street heading to the restaurant that Bai Qi had found. However, the more they walked, the more that they realized that there were a lot of people around.

Zhang Li Xue searched on her phone and found out that the city was cooperating with so local companies to hold a festival to promote their business. So of them were big nas.

There were a lot of stalls and activities that were suitable for adults and kids.

What attracted the people to visit this event was the lucky draw.

It was said that the grand prize was a vacation package to F Country for two. The participant also had the chance to win a television and other household appliances.

Zhang Li Xue was too busy looking at her phone. When she looked up again, she realized that Bai Qi and her were separated by the crowd of people.

The tall man stood in the middle of people to look for her. Seeing the worried look on his face, Zhang Li Xue slipped through the people to get to Bai QI’s side.

Bai Qi lowered his head and was finally at ease upon seeing that his little fairy was by his side. There were too many people around and he was worried that he might lose her.

This ti, a mother was pushing a baby stroller in one hand while holding her shopping bags in another.

Zhang Li Xue stared at his tall figure which was a few steps away from her and blad her short legs.

Picking up her pace, Zhang Li Xue rushed over to Bai Qi’s side. Before they could be separated by the crowd again, Zhang Li Xue quickly held his wrist.

Bai Qi lowered his head to look at their hands when he felt her warm palm against his wrist. He raised his head again and looked at the little fairy in shock.

Zhang Li Xue shot him an embarrassed smile. “Let’s just walk like this for a while. There are too many people. I didn’t want to get separated from you again.” She hesitated and added, “If this makes you uncomfortable, I can just hold the corner of your shirt?”

His throat bobbed. Bai Qi removed her hand from his wrist before intertwining their hands together. “If you don’t mind, let’s just hold hands. This way, it would be easier for us to walk around.”

Zhang Li Xue was a little surprised when Bai Qi held her hand tightly. However, she listened to his explanation and thought that what he said made sense.

“Oh.” Zhang Li Xue nodded. “Let’s go now.”

Bai Qi heaved a breath of relief when his little fairy was not angry at him. He gripped her hand tightly and walked slowly through the crowd.

He wanted to walk a little longer while holding her hand.

After walking for a short distance, the two of them finally arrived in front of the restaurant. The waitress greeted them at the entrance and ushered them in.

Bai Qi stared at his empty hand and regretted that he did not get to hold Zhang Li Xue’s hand a little longer. His little fairy’s hand was very soft and small as compared to him.

Bai Qi cleared his throat and looked away. “You’re right. The weather is getting hotter these days. Moreover, there were a lot of people just now.”

“Let’s order sothing cold,” Zhang Li Xue suggested. “Would you like so ice cream?”

“Uh-huh. That’s good too.” Bai Qi pulled the nu card closer and lowered his gaze. He quickly reminded himself not to think too much. Otherwise, his little fairy would find out his feelings.

The waitress walked over to their table and the two of them began to order so food.

His lips turned into a smile when he heard Zhang Li Xue order a plate of her favorite chicken wings. He wondered just what is it that she liked so much about them? It seed that she would never get bored of eating them.

After confirming their order, the waitress walked away, leaving them to wait for their food.

Zhang Li Xue leaned over in her seat and whispered, “Tell the truth... Bai Qi, did you take here because you know that I liked chicken wings?”

His laughter echoed. “I heard from others that this restaurant’s roasted chicken wings are the best. I’m not sure if you like them.”

“Actually, I always wanted to visit this restaurant when it first opened a few months ago,” Zhang Li Xue said. “However, I never get the chance to co over until today.” She began to look around and sighed. “This place looked very pleasing with the plants.”

Bai Qi thought that looking at the person in front of him was more pleasing than looking at the plants.
