"Brandan, it’s getting late, you should take Iris ho."
Iris Harris glanced at Brandan Hyde’s expression. His strikingly handso face was expressionless, and she wasn’t sure if he had heard what she and Lady Hyde had just said. She also didn’t know what Brandan’s mood was at this mont.
"No need, Auntie, I’ll just take a taxi back..."
Before she could finish her sentence, Brandan had already walked towards the door.
"Let’s go."
He said blandly.
Hearing his words, Iris’s eyes widened slightly in surprise, as if she found it unbelievable.
On the other side, Lady Hyde happily said, "Iris, hurry along, Brandan is going to take you ho."
Seeing that Brandan actually agreed, Lady Hyde seed happier than Iris herself.
Iris felt both surprised and delighted at this mont, as she didn’t expect Brandan to be willing to take her ho.
Just like picking her up after work, although it was at Lady Hyde’s command, even such a small closeness made Iris feel imnsely satisfied.
She cherished every mont of being with him too much.
Iris picked up her briefcase and hurriedly followed.
Over there, Brandan had already gotten into his Cayenne, and Iris, not daring to make him wait, quickly opened the car door and got in.
The car was very quiet, Iris sat there upright, holding her briefcase, not making a sound.
Brandan turned the car around, and it slowly drove out through the gate.
Iris originally planned to visit the hospital after dinner to see her illness, but now that Brandan was driving her ho, how could she dare to make additional requests?
She clenched her hands, her heart beating a little faster, the air filled with Brandan’s presence made her nervous, yet sowhat happy.
This is... her second ti riding in his car, right?
He never allowed her to be close to him.
The evening sky looked sowhat overcast, as if it might rain.
Yet Iris’s heart couldn’t help but flutter with a bit of joy; such small happiness might seem incredible to others, but to her, it was worth preserving for future reminiscence.
It had really been so, so long... since she’d been this close to him.
Iris secretly glanced at his face, the youthful and handso face from her mory overlapped with Brandan’s current face, filling her heart with a bittersweet joy...
He was still worth waiting for, wasn’t he?
As long as he was still here, one day he would rember her, wouldn’t he?
Her heart, in this delusion, slowly cald.
In the end, she just couldn’t give him up.
The Cayenne was halfway along the route when Viola Harris’s call ca in. Brandan casually picked it up, "Hello?"
"Brandan, where are you now?" Viola’s sweet, coquettish, and slightly discontented voice ca through the phone into Iris’s ears, "I’m so bored at the hospital. Please co and keep company. I want sothing delicious to eat, can you bring sothing?"
The downtown hospital was in the opposite direction from where Iris lived in the villa.
Brandan casually replied.
After hanging up the phone, the car interior beca quiet for a mont.
"Is Viola sick?" Iris’s voice sounded a little bewildered.
"Yeah."
"Then I’ll get off here."
Before Brandan could say that sentence, Iris preemptively said softly, "I’ll just catch a taxi ho from here."
This was maintaining the last bit of her dignity, wasn’t it?
As expected, Brandan said nothing, just pulled the car over to the side, and Iris quickly opened the door and got out of the car.
