[You escort Reina Nakajima back to her room, leaving Honoka and Yuko to watch over her. You and Yohei Nakajima head to the doctor’s office.]

[The news that the surgery was successful brings you so relief, but the doctor’s grave expression tells you things are not that simple.]

[The doctor gives you both good and bad news. The bad news is that while the surgery was successful, Reina Nakajima’s problem isn’t fully resolved. In the dical field, this procedure is still not entirely mature and is designed to address standard cases. Unfortunately, Reina is anything but standard, which only beca apparent after the operation.]

[The good news is that Reina’s unique heart condition may not necessarily pose a danger to her. The surgery has addressed the imdiate issues, and while minor discrepancies could affect the overall outco, they might not. Continued observation is necessary.]

[You and Yohei are caught between joy and worry.]

[That evening, Reina Nakajima wakes up. You and Yohei relay the doctor’s words to her, but to avoid making her overly anxious, you downplay the bad news.]

[Reina is elated at her second chance at life. You and Yohei share her joy, relieved to see her in good spirits.]

[You schedule frequent check-ups for Reina. The girl assus it’s standard post-surgery protocol and doesn’t give it much thought.]

[Her energy improves day by day. The test results show no issues, and her heart is recovering swiftly.]

[The doctor begins to relax and informs you that at least in the short term, there’s nothing to worry about. She lifts so of the restrictions and encourages Reina to move around more, though she still cannot leave the hospital.]

[You and Yohei return to Reina’s room to share the good news. Yohei tactfully excuses himself, giving the two of you so privacy.]

[It is now October. Out of concern for her health, you haven’t shared any physical intimacy beyond light kisses for the past five months. The mont Yohei’s footsteps fade away, you and Reina embrace and kiss deeply.]

[Reina’s once-practiced moves now feel a little clumsy.]

[November arrives, bringing the first snow to Yoshida Town, but you don’t make the trip this year.]

[Worried about Reina’s recent recovery, you and Yohei decide against traveling, and her doctor advises staying in Misaki. You and Reina make a promise: next year, as soon as November begins, you’ll go to Yoshida Town together and stay in an onsen inn to wait for the snow.]

[December cos, and Reina’s doctor finally lifts all restrictions.]

[Reina’s body has recovered better than it was two years ago. Before the New Year, you and she climb Mount Shodoshima together. After several breaks, she manages to reach the summit on her own two feet.]

[At the summit pavilion, her kisses are especially fervent, her heartbeat especially strong.]

[She asks about your plans for the future, her shy expression unable to fully mask her true intentions. You know exactly what she’s asking.]

mory scene appears.

It’s winter. The air is cold, but the sky is clear, and sunlight streams down from the deep blue sky, bathing the mountaintop in golden light.

Reina Nakajima sits in the pavilion, wearing a long red down coat. The wooden structure is old and weathered but retains a quaint charm, complenting her graceful deanor. ŕÄ

“New Year is coming. Do you have any plans?” she asks.

She turns her head, pretending to look at the distant clouds. Her long hair is tied in a low ponytail, her ears exposed and flushed red from the cold.

Her words carry a deeper aning.

“Study hard and prepare for the January exams,” you, Yuuki Minami, reply, deliberately dodging the answer she wants.

“And what else?” Reina leans her head slightly back toward you.

“Oh, I just rembered,” Yuuki Minami said, locking eyes with her. “Dad and I planned to go to an izakaya. He promised to treat to the most expensive set nu.”

“And what else?” Reina turns her face fully toward you. The blush on her cheeks fades, replaced by a hint of irritation.

Yuuki Minami stopped teasing her and said, “And I’ll take my Reina back to my hotown for New Year’s.”

“And?” Reina Nakajima smiled, still not fully satisfied.

“There’s one more thing I can’t quite rember. If Princess Reina were to sit in my lap, I might be able to recall.”

Without hesitation, the girl stood up and leaned her slender body into Yuuki’s arms. She wasn’t voluptuous, but her softness was undeniable. Even through layers of thick clothing, Yuuki could still feel her gentle warmth as she sat on his lap.

He took a whiff of Reina’s fragrant hair as she lifted her face, her cherry-colored lips slightly parted and her eyes glimring with hidden desire. He leaned in and pressed a kiss to her lips.

“And to marry Princess Reina,” he said, their foreheads touching after the kiss ended.

“Mm!”

A dazzling smile lit up Reina’s face, the blush on her cheeks reminding Yuuki of the sumr fireworks they had watched together two years ago.

“What plans does my dear wife have for the future? Should our wedding be traditional or Western-style? Next month or the month after?” Yuuki asked, gazing at the girl in his arms.

“Are next month and the month after the only choices?”

“That’s right. I can’t wait any longer!”

“Then next month. Traditional style.”

“So, you’re an impatient one too.”

“Impatient sounds so bad! I’m not like that.”

“Well then, my eager princess, what plans do you have for married life?”

Reina’s face turned red, and after a few nudges from Yuuki, she finally shared the future she had been imagining for a long ti.

“Living in a single-family house, planting beautiful flowers in the garden, and having a cute little daughter.”

Her vision for the future was simple, reflecting the purity of her heart.

Yuuki thought about what the doctor had said. Even though Reina’s body was nearly back to normal, pregnancy would be a significant strain on her health. It was sothing best avoided. After all, they hadn’t even received the green light for anything beyond kisses yet.

After so thought, Yuuki said to her, “Having a baby is really tough. By the ti the due date cos around, you’ll have to go back to the hospital.”

At the ntion of the hospital, Reina instinctively shrank back, hesitating. If possible, she never wanted to see a doctor or an operating room again.

“…But we have to have a child,” Reina muttered. Her thoughts, shaped by traditional values, were clear.

“Then let’s adopt one,” Yuuki suggested, settling the matter. “You can pick any child you like.”

“Okay!”

“What should we na her?”

“Mako.”

“Sounds like the perfect na for a ninja-in-training.”

“Huh?” Reina didn’t understand Yuuki’s joke.

[You teased her a little, and together, you set the date for your wedding. At 18, you were of legal age, and so was she, being a year older.]
