John hadn't fully regained his senses. He suddenly swung forward, as if slamming a ball of air in front of Hobert.
Hobert's "Sword of Dawn" disappeared quickly because it lacked a power source, but John couldn't re-summon it for the next ten minutes.
At the sa ti, Hobert also sensed a limitation of the "Dream Stealing Pocket Watch." In combat, its success rate for stealing an enemy's Beyonder power the first ti was very high, but the probability of stealing the sa enemy's ability a second ti dropped sharply.
This wasn't exactly a negative effect, but more of a limitation. Hobert estimated that a true Sequence 5 "Dream Stealer" should have a similar restriction, except perhaps with a high probability of "stealing" from the sa target two or three tis, after which the probability would decrease significantly.
Otherwise, if there were no restrictions, they would definitely steal all of their enemies' abilities from the start, and they would have beco invincible long ago.
If he couldn't steal Beyonder abilities, it didn't matter; he could still steal John's thoughts.
When John realized his hands were empty, Hobert seized the opportunity to steal his thoughts. John, who hadn't completely recovered his senses, stood there stunned, his mind suddenly blank.
Hobert seized the opportunity, drew his blade, and finally broke through John's "Armor of Dawn."
At the sa ti, John reacted and quickly jumped back, trying to re-summon the "Sword of Dawn," but he couldn't manage it.
Similarly, stealing thoughts had a similar limitation to stealing abilities, so Hobert injected his spirituality into the "Psychological Spoon" again: "Madness!"
In fact, "Madness" couldn't be used continuously; it had to be spaced two or three seconds apart to use it a second ti.
Hobert's own abilities, "Bribery" and "Distortion," were the sa. There had to be a few seconds between uses, and after using "Weakening" on a target, he couldn't use "Weakening" on them again until the effect disappeared.
However, two "Barons of Corruption" could "weaken" the sa enemy simultaneously.
After reaching Sequence 6, as Hobert's own Beyonder power types increased, he could completely avoid the "cooldown ti" by adjusting the order in which he used his abilities.
When John heard the word "Madness" again, the light of dawn on his body beca very bright. This ability blocked any Beyonder abilities.
So this ti, "Madness" was far less effective than last ti. John still retained so sanity. He retreated while re-summoning his "Armor of Dawn."
Hobert pursued him closely, successfully cutting John's chest.
At the sa ti, John re-summoned his "Armor of Dawn," and he had basically escaped the state of "Madness."
At this point, the effects of "Weakening" and the "Disorder Stone" were almost over, and John's condition was getting better and better. His "Armor of Dawn" was as solid as it had been in its pri, but he still couldn't use the "Sword of Dawn."
So he gave Alex a look: Run!
Alex summoned a undead, lunged at Hobert, and then the two of them smashed through windows in different directions and fled.
Whoosh~
They jumped onto the open ground outside almost simultaneously. Just as they were about to run, their vision blurred, and they were back inside the abandoned workshop, and back in front of "Pretty Boy."
Both of them noticed that "Pretty Boy" was holding a black stone in his hand.
John said with a mournful face: "How many miraculous items does this damn kid have?"
The black stone in Hobert's hand was of course the "Teleportation Statue." He was also glad that after becoming stronger, he hadn't been too careless and had brought the "Teleportation Statue" with him in advance.
After scaring away Alex's undead with his knife, he quickly took out the "Teleportation Statue" from the box on his waist.
After "teleporting" the opponent back, Hobert stabbed Alex with his knife, while Carrie, who had just sent the golden skeleton back to the underworld with a hamr, ca to help and raised her warhamr at John.
Alex dodged again, rolling and crawling. He took Hobert's knife on his back, preparing to escape with his injury, but after taking only two steps, he felt cold all over, and his spiritual body seed to shrink together.
The knife in Hobert's hand was like his nesis. Alex was suppressed in all aspects.
Hobert stepped forward and stabbed again, killing this "Spirit dium" who called himself Alex.
On the other side, John also took a hamr from Carrie. Using the force of this hamr, he jumped out of the window again.
Carrie's hamr only made John's "Armor of Dawn" shake a little.
Hobert imdiately used the "Teleportation Statue" to "teleport" the opponent back again. At this ti, John was still able to deal with it calmly. The mont he returned to the abandoned workshop for the second ti, he rushed towards Hobert. Although he couldn't use the "Sword of Dawn" anymore, his strength and agility were still there, and he could beat Hobert to death with his bare hands.
Even if Hobert had a knife in his hand, he wouldn't necessarily be a match for the "Dawn Knight."
Fortunately, Hobert had been guarding against the opponent's counterattack and didn't fight him head-on. He just circled around John.
If he couldn't dodge John's attack, he would use the "Teleportation Statue" to move the opponent back, causing the opponent's attack to miss. Or he would use the Beyonder power "Distortion" to cause John's movents to deviate.
Theoretically, the "Teleportation Statue" could allow Hobert to avoid any physical attacks, but because John was "wearing" the light of dawn, his fists were also considered Beyonder attacks and were not within the "Teleportation Statue's" avoidance range.
Carrie wanted to co over to help several tis, but Hobert stopped her.
John no longer ran away, and his fists smashed at Hobert like a storm.
If he kept fighting like this, he wouldn't feel tired even after fighting for another twenty minutes, and his spirituality told him that he would be able to re-summon the "Sword of Dawn" in a while.
As long as the "Sword of Dawn" was in hand, it wasn't impossible to counterattack.
At the sa ti, he felt that the "Pretty Boy" in front of him had been using the ability of "Corrosion" on him, but he didn't take it to heart, because the light of dawn could help him block most of these extraordinary attacks.
After fighting for more than half a minute, the negative effects on John's body had basically completely disappeared. John, who had completely regained his senses, suddenly thought: This "Pretty Boy" isn't stupid either. Why doesn't he think of other ways and just wait for to re-summon the "Sword of Dawn"?
Not good, John suddenly thought: He's also stalling for ti!
When he thought of this, John felt cold all over. The wound that had just been cut open by the Tang sword was getting more and more painful.
John looked down and saw that the area around the wound was purplish, as if poisoned, and thick blood was flowing out.
This was the opportunity that Hobert had been waiting for: "Corrosion!"
For the past minute or so, he had been laying the groundwork. Taking advantage of the fact that John, who had been cut by the Tang sword, had obviously suffered damage to his spirit body, the Beyonder power "Corrosion" rushed through John's "Dawn Defense" like a surging tide, directly hitting John's heart.
The sanity in John's eyes was gradually disappearing, and his eyes were full of greed: "As long as I kill you, all the miraculous items on your body will be mine!"
Then he tried to re-summon the "Sword of Dawn" again, but of course he still couldn't summon it.
This was completely a tactical error, allowing Hobert to seize the opportunity and cut through his "Armor of Dawn" again.
John's remaining sanity made him try to suppress the greed in his heart and choose to escape again.
But it was too late. While the opponent's "Armor of Dawn" had not recovered, Hobert pierced John's chest with his knife.
John imdiately felt his spiritual body shrink into a ball. He felt cold all over, and his heart was filled with greed and fear, but he still managed to pull out the Tang sword and turn to flee.
Hobert struck again, cutting off half of John's head. His body ran out a few steps before finally falling to the ground, gradually losing its vitality.
Hobert shook the blood off his knife and sighed: "A Sequence 6 is really hard to kill."
