There were many steles erected in the strange depression, and many fire flowers were carved on the steles. They were exquisite and pretty, and they emitted mysterious energy fluctuations.
Yang Ling that followed the rcenaries, adventures, and great factions also entered the depression, and he then detected an intense sense of danger. He had quickly passed down retreat command, but it was already too late.
Hum!
After a strange noise echoed, all steles shone with a scarlet light, and they turned into raging flas. They emitted intense energy fluctuations, while the ground started shaking, and many ripples appeared in the air.
After such a strange incident ca to an end, the crowd discovered a strange matter. The erected steles had turned into a boundless desert., and as they surveyed it, they discovered that it was made by fine sand, and it still had a high temperature, as if many heated pots were hidden beneath the ground.
The sand was so hot that none could place his feet on it, while the crowd’s throats beca so dry that smoke ca out of them.
What was worse was that everyone’s body beca heavy, and it was difficult for difficult to even take several steps, let alone run.
“Oh my God! What is this land?”
“It’s the Pharaoh King’s curse, this is surely the Pharaoh King’s curse. Everyone will die here.”
...
As the crowd witnessed such a strange desert, fright spread among people like a plague. The rcenaries and adventurers cried out in fright, while they recalled a certain terrifying legend related to the Pharaoh King.
The legend stated that the Pharaoh King placed down a terrifying curse to protect the tomb where he slept so that he wouldn’t be disturbed, while anyone who intruded into the underground tomb would have a tragic death, and would never co back to life.
After the great factions’ mbers got over their shock, they ford a tight formation, and observed the situation calmly.
As for the rcenaries and adventurers, every one of them went his own way. So of them were so scared that they stayed in the sa place without moving, while so sharp fellows approached the great factions. They asked for the protection of the Church, Dark Association, or other factions.
While there were still so rcenaries and adventurers that mumbled to themselves constantly, and repeated the Pharaoh King’s legend ceaselessly as if they had gone crazy. Those people ran around all over the land like headless flies, and they tried to rush out of the boundless desert.
“Your Lordship, what should we do?”
Upon witnessing such a strange desert, and detecting that the temperature was only becoming higher, the rmaid Evelyn furrowed her brows, and she ended up inadvertently treating Yang Ling that possessed imasurable power as her supporter and backer.
The Sea Tribe possessed great magical power in the sea, as well as great fighting prowess, but once they went ashore, they would beco quite weak, and this was especially the case in such a nasty environnt, where Water Magical Elent was quite scarce. Their power was restricted greatly here!
“Perhaps, we have really run into great trouble.”
When Yang Ling detected that the temperature was rising further, his expression beca grave, and he said, “Miss Evelyn, regardless of what happens, don’t ever distance yourself from by more than twenty feet. Bear it in mind!”
Yang Ling quickly set restrictions on his vicinity to deal with such unknown danger, while he still called over Corpse Wizard King, Dark Dragon King, Winnink and other people. He had asked them to protect four directions, before he sat down cross-legged while protected by the purple mouse Little Ice and the Thousand-faced Mink.
Yang Ling’s trendous ntal Energy spread out like a spider web, and started observing the vicinity carefully.
The rcenaries and adventurers had turned pale with fright, and they stated that they suffered the Pharaoh King’s curse, but a high-grade Divine Wizard and Great Soul Wizard-like Yang Ling was aware that this was either a large-scale Illusory Spell, or a type of mysterious Restriction.
In a sense, it was similar to Yang Ling’s Gravity Restriction and Illusory Spells that confined one in a dinsion.
Yang Ling had ended up inadvertently intruding into the enemy’s formation or Restriction, and it would be stupid to act impulsively, and run around. He should calm down, and look calmly for the Spell Coordinates to escape.
Yang Ling that kept his calm started spreading wisps of his Divine Consciousness farther. But when just found a certain pattern in the illusion, a sharp cry transmitted from a remote place, while many firewalls moved toward them, and covered the earth.
“Awful! It’s a boundless sea of flas, you should quickly hide.”
Upon witnessing the flas waves, Elder Faern cried out involuntarily, before he mumbled sothing, and raised up both hands. He cast a magical barrier, and protected the warriors and Spellcasters next to him.
Even though Faern couldn’t understand why such flas appeared suddenly, nor did he know where did such terrifying flas waves ca from, but an apex Fire Domain Spellcaster like him knew clearly how terrifying were such flas waves.
This was why Faern protected his team before he started observing the frightened rcenaries and adventurers in the vicinity that had no room for escape, and whose bodies shivered with fear.
Faern sympathized with the rcenaries and adventurers, and he let out a breath, before he clenched his teeth, and shouted loudly. His magical barrier’s scope imdiately rose by more than two folds, and it enveloped the rcenaries and adventurers who placed their hope on the Fire God Sect’s protection.
While Faern responded quickly, the Dark Association, Borg Family, and the other factions also made a quick response.
The Dark Association’s Spellcasters joined hands to form a magical barrier filled with black gas, and it engulfed the region occupied by Bellimore Family, while so rcenaries and adventurers next to them also benefited from this, and didn’t have to face the terrifying flas waves.
Stuart shouted loudly, and commanded his clansn to form a tight formation, while he still used his golden Battle Energy that emitted a golden halo that engulfed so rcenary Teams close to him.
All factions more or less put in so efforts to help the rcenaries and adventurers that asked for their protection, and the only exception to this was the Church that always blabbed about rcy and kindness.
The reason behind this was probably that the Church’s mbers didn’t have enough magical power because they suffered disastrous casualties, yet it might also be that they tried to take a good position before the arrival of danger.
This was why the Church didn’t just abstain from providing help to the rcenaries and adventurers, it had even attacked them suddenly, and forcefully occupied a hillside that could be easily defended.
Faern that was not far away witnessed such a sight, and he shook his head repeatedly.
“Aris, what should we do, what should we do?”
“Hurry up! You should all stick together, and all Spellcasters should cast a magical barrier. Hurry up!”
As the rcenaries and adventurers, who had no room for escape, observed the flas waves that closed on them, they descended into chaos. So of them tried their best to approach the great factions, and ask for their help, while other people joined hands to form a dim magical barrier.
But so rcenaries and adventurers just ran around in a panic, and cried out of despair as they observed the world-shaking flas waves that approached them.
“Your Lordship, save us, save us.”
“Sir, please save us. Sir!”
The rcenaries and adventurers who had no room for escape everywhere recalled Yang Ling that had previously shown a divine might, and they all rushed to him while they called him. They knelt before the Restriction, and asked Yang Ling to save them, while tears streaked across their faces.
“Your Lordship, save them.”
When Evelyn saw several rcenaries kneeling in front of the Restriction, she furrowed her brows, and couldn’t help but ask for a favor for them. Those people were already old, yet they still had to continue working as rcenaries to earn several Crystal Coins to raise their family.
“Miss Evelyn, I want to save them, but I’m not able to do so.” Yang Ling shook his head helplessly, while he observed the large crowd of rcenaries and adventurers kneeling in front of the Restriction.
If Yang Ling had beco a Soul Wizard, he probably would have been able to set Five Elents Restrictions, and obstruct the flas engulfing the land from reaching them. He would have been then able to save those rcenaries and adventurers, but now, he could only set a simple Restriction to obstruct the flas, and the only useful asset he had was probably the Ice-sealing Domain.
It was difficult for Yang Ling to even protect himself. So how could he save a large crowd? This was the case unless...
Yang Ling recalled the Wizard Pagoda’s Space, and got an idea, but after he quieted for a mont, he shook his head. The Wizard Pagoda’s Space was his own power source, and it was also a place where he could take shelter. He surely wouldn’t allow a stranger to enter it until it was absolutely necessary so that he wouldn’t expose it.
“Ah, save !”
The fla waves’ speed was quite high, and it quickly reached the front of the crowd. So rcenaries and rcenaries that had no room for escape couldn’t take more than several steps before they were engulfed by the flas, and they let out miserable screams before their deaths, while so of them still struggled among the flas. They seed horrifying!
As Evelyn witnessed so dying rcenaries’ miserable state, and listened to their miserable screams, she couldn’t help but close her eyes, and clasp her hands in front of her chest, while she started praying. She asked God for his protection, and spoke in a low and aggrieved voice.
Evelyn’s actions quickly affected the Sea Tribe’s mbers next to her, and regardless if they were five-ter-tall Tiger Shark Warriors, or Water Spellcasters with pale faces, they had all clasped their hands in front of their chests, and started praying.
“Sir, please save us. Sir!”
“Sir, please save my child. Sir!”
As the trapped rcenaries and adventurers observed the raging flas near them, they started crying for help out of despair, while so old people, who brought with them their young sons to work as rcenaries, knelt in front of the Restriction, while tears streaked across their faces.
At this mont, in their eyes, it was only the Magical Beasts’ Lord, who possessed imasurable power, that could save them.
“If you survive, you will lose your freedom. But since you have entreated piteously, I will help you. Later on, you will have to live in another world.”
Yang Ling observed the fla waves that engulfed the land, and looked at the adventurers and rcenaries kneeling in front of him with cheeks stread streaming with tears, while he listened to the Sea Tribe’s mbers bleak voice.
Yang Ling felt like he had traveled across space-ti, and got to see a ravaged desolate world. Such a matter stimulated the Wizard Pagoda’s inheritance hidden in the depths of his soul, and he muttered for a mont, before he used the Restriction to swirl up the rcenaries and adventurers kneeling outside, and he moved those people into the Wizard Pagoda’s space in such a critical juncture.
Yang Ling had thrown those people near a forest with ample resources, and let them run their own course.
Yang Ling didn’t want to expose the secret of the Wizard Pagoda’s space, and if those rcenaries and adventurers weren’t helped by him, they would have to live forever in the primal forest within the pagoda, and even if their lifespan was long, they still wouldn’t get a chance to divulge Yang Ling’s secret.
It was like this that the Wizard Pagoda’s space got its first batch of indigenous people, and it got the first tribe that would later worship Wizards.
Yang Ling didn’t realize that such actions would later bring notable transformations to the Wizard Pagoda’s space.
