Chapter 97: Chapter 97 Judgent
Inside Tang Qi’s mind, the chanical murmuring echoed, intensifying the golden light flas in his body with each reverberation. At the mont, he was no different from a humanoid sun, albeit luckily confined by closed doors and windows, avoiding alarming anyone.
Yet Tang Qi himself could feel a strong sense of impending crisis, growing more urgent by the mont.
The source was the golden sun hanging high above the boundless universe.
It beca increasingly dazzling.
Tang Qi could sense that the light and heat he was emitting were gradually converging with the golden sun.
However, this was not good news. Tang Qi could not imagine what would happen if he didn’t make a choice before the complete convergence.
...
Almost imdiately, Tang Qi made a decision.
To advance the Molten Furnace Eye!
He had no other accompanying inheritances, so there was no second option.
As for the ditation thod, aside from “adding fuel,” there seed to be no shortcut.
“Buzz”
Almost the mont Tang Qi made his decision, two fragnts of Information exploded within his mind.
They represented the two possible directions of advancent for the Molten Furnace Eye: Shock and Calming Spirit.
The forr would undoubtedly be offensive.
While the latter was more likely to be supportive.
After only hesitating for half a breath, Tang Qi made his final choice.
The offensive direction!
He only pretended to be frail, not really wanting to beco a weak high school student. Since he could strengthen his combat power, why choose support?
As this thought flashed by, the golden sun high in the boundless universe suddenly vanished. Tang Qi saw, amidst the darkness, a stream of golden light suddenly projected from the depths of the universe into his body. The directionless golden light flas found their target in this mont.
Tang Qi’s… eyes.
Boom! Boom! Boom!
At that mont, his mind, which had wandered off into the darkness, returned to his body. He then began to feel an unprecedented burning sensation exploding in his eye area.
In his mind, one after another, fragnts of Information swiftly passed by.
The Molten Furnace Eye… evolving!
Shock effect has dissipated!
A new effect is being born!
…
Tang Qi kept his eyes tightly shut. The dazzling light flas that once enveloped his body had disappeared without a trace, as if they had all converged into his eyes. Even through closed eyelids, faint glimrs of light shone through.
His experience was far from pleasant, like soone had jabbed two burning candles directly into his eyes. The heat and light burst out together, making Tang Qi’s entire body tremble, veins bulging, sweat pouring down, drenching his clothes and even the floor began to pool with sweat.
After an indeterminate amount of ti, everything gradually eased. The light and heat subsided, the pain faded bit by bit, and Tang Qi regained his strength.
Is it over?
Did I succeed?
Tang Qi opened his eyes, but he didn’t feel any significant difference. Without much thought, he quickly stood up and walked straight to the full-length mirror.
“Buzz”
The reflection in the mirror showed Tang Qi’s unchanged face.
His gaze instantly focused on his pupils, which looked no different from usual. But as he looked more closely, a spark of golden light flickered deep in his eyes, and at that mont, an extrely dangerous premonition swept over him.
An inexplicable enlightennt and premonition; he could control that speck of golden light, and when he released “it,” sothing horrifying would happen.
Driven by curiosity, Tang Qi took a closer look at himself.
Specks of ghost light erged, and a special interface appeared.
Ignoring the other images, Tang Qi’s gaze went straight to the Skill column and the changes in the Molten Furnace Eye.
[Molten Furnace Eye: Derived Skill, activated through the eyes, capable of Judgent and Calming Spirit effects, and can be further enhanced; Realm: Beginner; Progress: 50%.]
“Shock is gone, replaced by Judgent?”
Tang Qi muttered to himself, his eyes still fixed on the word Judgent.
Streams of Information Fragnts flowed, allowing Tang Qi to quickly grasp the aning of the Judgent effect.
“The so-called Judgent isn’t about judging the enemy, but rather, it allows to pull the enemy into a space in the blink of an eye, making them face a projection of the Master of the Crucible. Without having cultivated the ditation thod, facing that golden Sun would result in… Death or Madness, one cannot escape these two outcos.”
“However, this skill has a strict success rate limitation; the stronger the enemy, the lower the success rate. If the enemy’s spiritual power significantly surpasses my own, then the success rate will be pitifully low.”
“The most critical point is that once this effect is activated, regardless of success or failure, it will consu a significant amount of spiritual power.”
“Nevertheless, this skill is just beginning, and it can continue to be enhanced. Maybe once it reaches a certain Realm, what the enemies face won’t just be a projection of the Master of the Crucible but the True Form of the Master of the Crucible.”
After reading through all the Information Fragnts, Tang Qi pondered for a mont before grinning.
“A skill worthy of being called a trump card for a deadly blow!”
“My premonition was correct; every ti the ditation thod advances by ten percent, there will be a surprise. I’m already looking forward to the next one.”
With a cheerful smile still on his face, Tang Qi took one last look at himself in the mirror, blinked, and watched as the elusive speck of golden light finally disappeared completely.
Turning around, without the ti to tidy up the ss on the floor, Tang Qi imdiately sat down cross-legged. He was in an exceptionally exhausted state, as it seed he had released all of his spiritual power to advance the Molten Furnace Eye.
With both light and heat having burst forth, everything naturally dimd and quieted down.
After one breath, he re-entered the ditation State, having grown accustod to this thod of recovery over sleep.
…
In the Central District, close to City Hall Avenue, inside an avant-garde building made with an abundance of black and red materials.
A tall Human Figure made its way through what seed to be empty corridors and stairwells, under the dim lighting. Eventually, it entered a room at the end of the hallway, which appeared to be by the window but was pitch-black once inside.
As the last trace of light was shut outside the door, distinguishing features and attire of the Human Figure were revealed.
He was muscular and tall, seemingly bald, wearing a tight black suit with a plain white mask on his face, devoid of any pattern.
“No.11’s mission has failed; he is dead.”
As soon as the tall man entered the room, he swiftly lowered his head, as though afraid to take even one glance at the slender Human Figure sitting in a custom luxurious chair amidst the darkness. His tone was flat, as if reporting sothing of no consequence.
“Are you saying that not only did you fail to recover that failed seed, you also failed to retrieve the tag, but instead lost another seed, and also exposed our existence to those worthless police?”
“Hu~”
From the darkness, ca a magnetic voice that was indistinguishable between male and female.
At the sound of it, the tall man seed unable to remain calm any longer, his breathing beca rapid, and his body underwent a horrific mutation.
With a hissing sound, white bone spikes pierced through his suit, and beneath the skin of his exposed flesh, fist-sized pustules rapidly swelled and then burst with a loud “pop,” spraying disgusting pus and bringing the tall man intense Pain.
More horrifying was what followed; his shoulders suddenly made a cracking noise. A grotesque, slimy head, almost solely consisting of a mouth full of sharp teeth, broke through the man’s neck, and began to frantically devour his body.
The first bite was delicious, as his ear was snapped off by the head with a crisp “crack,” the splattering juices and gushing blood stained half of the man’s face red. Facing such horror and Pain, the tall man sohow managed to endure with sheer willpower, standing still with his head bowed, like a statue.
Only by getting closer would one notice the furious trembling of the man’s body.
“Tell , who is the person hindering your mission?”
Just as the man could no longer hold on, the ambiguous voice sounded again.
With nearly all his strength spent, the man struggled to speak, by this ti half of his head had already been devoured, and a mix of blood and brain pulp, as if whispering or Roaring, ca from his mouth: “sser Police Station… Chief Stanna.”
