Chapter 747: Chapter 632 God of Thousand Faces and Wusgor
Endless, dark mysteries, the Fool’s Ship floated.
The ship lamp emitted a steady radiance, and Tang Qi had a look of relief, listening to the faint roars and crashing sounds penetrating from the other side of the barrier that had just healed over, but quickly faded away—those sounds revealed the dissatisfaction of the “Master.”
“Just missed a bit, good thing I run fast.”
At this mont, Tang Qi completely lacked his usual imposing and dominant image; his fleeing was fluent and natural, deserving a place in textbooks.
“Capturing an Evil God, such a bold and crazy action, was never going to be smooth sailing. Although there are nurous All Spirits Above Mystery, and the number of ‘Weak Gods’ who have survived the Great Catastrophe War is also vast… still, Evil Gods as foolish and unable to restrain their Desire like Bolusa are not too many.”
“The situation with that ‘Genstein,’ Rose Madeline was half right about it; she just misjudged Its State. If I hadn’t verified it a second ti and had gone to capture it directly, my end would have been extrely miserable.”
Thoughts surged, Tang Qi seed to realize sothing, suddenly looking at the oar in his hand.
But he saw at the end of the oar, a pool of viscous, pitch-black liquid flesh, presumably a part contaminated from the earlier hitting of those eyeballs.
It silently writhed, slowly aggregating to form a “miniature version” Monster.
The main part looked like a lump of tar, except it was covered in eyes flickering with blue light, with irregularly shaped symbols sketched inside the pupils, as many tiny tentacles waved around, trying to climb up the oar towards Tang Qi’s hand.
His gaze fell upon it, and Information Fragnts consequently erged:
“Extraordinary Creature: The flesh of Genstein, having powerful regeneration of Divine Flesh—within the range of the main body’s Radiation Pollution, it can cast abilities such as Parasite and Control, but as the distance from the main body increases, it will gradually decline…”
“Squeak squeak”
Tang Qi browsed the fragnts while casually grasping the “miniature Genstein.”
It scread, probably because it adhered to the “Fla Spell” on Tang Qi’s hand.
As ti passed and Tang Qi’s daily ditation progressed, the power of the Fla Spell began to catch up to the Molten Furnace Flas; compared to those, the Fla Spell was more agile and greatly malleable.
At this mont, he carefully controlled not to let the Molten Furnace Flas overflow, probably afraid of accidentally burning the miniature Genstein to death.
“Such a small piece of flesh, if sacrificed to the Crucible, I fear it wouldn’t even suffice to fill a tooth gap; better to keep it as a test subject. Rose would probably like this gift.”
Murmuring to himself, Tang Qi directly produced a “Curios glass bottle,” roughly stuffing the miniature Genstein into it.
After which, he threw it into the Gluttony Pocket Space, which should slow its decay.
Having dealt with Genstein’s flesh offhandedly, Tang Qi did not imdiately proceed to verify the next target test subject.
Instead, with a re thought, the Book of Nothingness appeared before him. This bizarre book, shaped from Chaos Thought, its cover still Blank, but beneath those Chaos Mushrooms, fuzzy lines began to erge.
“The power of Order!”
A realization dawned at the bottom of Tang Qi’s heart.
This was one of the gains from helping Rafael to recover his self; Tang Qi had briefly managed the “Thorny Law Code” within the Dream Kingdom, which automatically absorbed a portion of the power from the codex—the power that the kingdom needed most, the Rule Power of the Order attribute.
Those lines significantly contained the aggravation of Pollution.
But, it was not enough.
Compared to when the “Book of Nothingness” was initially obtained, the number of Chaos Mushrooms on it had significantly increased.
This was because Tang Qi had been involved in High-level deadly Combat and had excessively utilized Divinity.
“According to the terms of the real World, I’ve overspent greatly.”
“And my inco, currently has not engaged much in ‘Divine ditation’ nor in the cleanup tasks by Amanda and those Dream Creatures; indeed, it’s pitifully less compared to the expenditure.”
“But at present, there’s no better thod; almost any Divine Spirit relies on the accumulation over long Ti to be promoted to the rank of All Spirits.”
“Relying solely on ditation and the cleanup by Amanda and others, even if I hid like those ‘Weak Gods’ and accumulated through ditation, it would probably take millions of years to gather enough power to be promoted to a qualified Divine Spirit.”
“That amount of Ti is just too long; I need to find a better thod. Now is not a peaceful era but one of drastic changes and utter Madness. If I don’t find my own path, I’m likely to be eliminated.”
“If the Crucible’s appetite were good enough to even eat Mushrooms, that would be great… unfortunately, this fella is a picky eater; only eats at, not vegetarian.”
Tang Qi teased the Master of the Crucible and reined in his wandering thoughts.
The reason the Chaos Mushrooms could not be offered to the Master of the Crucible was that those Mushrooms were extrely Horrible, pure Divine Pollution, and completely entangled with the “Dream Kingdom.”
If Tang Qi recklessly threw the Mushrooms to the Master of the Crucible, set aside whether He would eat them, even if He did, the outco would likely be that the “Crucible” would beco a crazier Sovereign than “Light” of that ti.
Tang Qi’s Dream Kingdom, then, would suffer an unimaginable blow, and it might even collapse directly.
Chaos Mushroom, in fact, is a toxic goodie that must be purified by Tang Qi, to nourish the Dream Kingdom in return.
Capturing a “Weak God” like Bolusa is naturally not for learning Their pathways, but to find so key factors to help Tang Qi forge His own pathway.
“Purify the kingdom, strengthen oneself—this thod must be within that pathway.”
“Just a test subject, clearly not enough.”
“Then, the next one.”
“Bam!”
When Tang Qi reined in His thoughts, He casually slapped the paddle beneath the Fool’s Ship, striking a silently approaching large ash-white insect. Its seemingly fierce and terrifying body was imdiately punctured by that slap and then fluttered in all directions like a deflated balloon.
This was a “Mysterious Louse,” like the “Nightmare Octopus,” one of the common species within the Mysterious.
Its habit is to parasitize any biological entity within the Mysterious, and so tenacious “Mysterious Lice” even dare to parasitize Divine Beings.
If there was only one parasitic upon the Fool’s Ship, it wouldn’t result in too severe consequences.
The problem is, once it successfully parasitizes, it will call its friends, bringing in tens of thousands of “Mysterious Lice,” directly gnawing away the Fool’s Ship along with Tang Qi and the three Little Guys.
After casually solving a small nuisance, the ship lamp again emitted a ghost light.
The bow of the ship lifted, the portal opened, carrying Tang Qi inside, the Radiance revealing another end of the scenery, still belonging to the Western Federation, seemingly a sowhat chaotic, desolate small city.
…
Ricken City, Main City area.
To call it the Main City area, it actually wasn’t large; this was a very small city with a population close to one hundred thousand.
It should have been a peaceful, comfortable small western city, but due to certain events, Ricken City was in chaos.
Clutching “Gluttony,” Tang Qi stepped out of a deserted alley, casually stuffing the completed Knowledge Seeker Dungeon back into the belly of Gluttony, which contained information about that “Genstein” deep in Jiger Mountain.
After delivering the report, Tang Qi looked up at the street ahead.
There weren’t many pedestrians, and those present hurried along with no trace of a smile on their faces. Their eyes were full of caution when looking at others; they hurried ho, so with eyes showing hesitation, while so seed to have made so sort of decision, quickening their pace.
The various major stores on the street, including a large supermarket, were facing the situation of shutting down due to an absence of custors.
Tang Qi quickly realized what those who had made up their minds intended to do.
Walking a few steps, He saw the main road leading out of the city jamd with car after car.
Inside the cars were city residents, with both large and small bags.
All of them wore expressions of anxiety and panic, impatiently honking their horns, as the noisy clamor rose and fell. They all wanted to leave the city very much; so took their entire families, so were alone, or accompanied by a spouse.
And a certain part of people, although with their family, there was not much trust in their eyes toward their own kin.
“It seems, the situation is unexpectedly severe.”
Tang Qi frowned slightly, going against the flow of people, heading deeper into the city.
In His mind, more nurous dossiers than the previous two tis erged:
“Ricken City, starting one month ago, a large number of similar mysterious events occurred.”
“The first case, from Adam Pock’s family, Adam and his wife killed their only son together, then called the police that night, claiming what they killed was not their son, but an unknown Demon.”
“Adam Pock defended that their son beca extrely strange from a week earlier, turning manic and mad, with strange flesh falling from his body, and continuously trying to kill the couple… One night, after taking their son to a psychologist, he again tried to kill the sleeping couple with scissors.”
“Adam Pock, who awoke unexpectedly in the ensuing Counterattack, killed his son.”
“Although in this case, all of Adam Pock’s descriptions of the changes in his son’s State were confird, the local Judge still sentenced the couple to death.”
“Following ‘Adam Pock’s Case,’ the second case of the sa nature occurred, then the third, fourth, fifth… A large number of residents reported their cases. They all killed their family mbers and claid that the others were impostors, Demons from hell, Aliens from the Exotic Realm, and the like.”
“Due to the large number of such cases, the not-so-large Ricken City fell into chaos, with a large number of residents choosing to relocate and leave.”
“Officials who obtained the information in advance, have already mobilized troops to blockade Ricken City’s roads.”
“Including ‘Rose Madeline,’ the Mysticism consultants and polymaths gave corresponding conjectures based on a large number of case descriptions.”
“Among them, the two with a higher degree of agreent point to the backstage culprits: the Evil God ‘God of Thousand Faces’ who was active in the Old Continent during the Dark Era, and the Exotic Realm Monster… Wusgor.”
