Chapter 85: Chapter 85 Beast Shepherd

The young amber rchant’s death brought the bloody incident in Central Park to an end. After handing over the cri scene to the detectives, Tang Qi and Stanna returned to the police station, just as it was nearing noon.

Spending most of the morning, they had resolved a mysterious murder case, a level of efficiency that the female chief would likely be very satisfied with.

Quickly following their return was the logistics team.

Reine and Gideon, along with so newly joined staff, just got back from the scene. They all wore expressions of excitent mixed with fear, though admittedly more of the forr. They ordered pizza and gathered together, enthusiastically discussing the grueso scene.

Nathan and Havier didn’t get to participate this ti but still joined in eagerly.

If an ordinary person walked into this office area, they would probably think they were among lunatics.

...

As a special consultant for the police station, Tang Qi, who looked just like a high school student, actually had his own private office, which was even better equipped than Stanna’s. However, neither of them hid away in their offices but joined everyone else, just not engaging in the discussions.

Tang Qi savored the pizza, while Stanna tended to her “Red Rhino”, and then counted the Sea Demon and lter bullets provided by Tang Qi, one by one, with imnse care.

This absorbed look made Tang Qi sowhat embarrassed; his Blood Python One was actually an Extraordinary Gun far more powerful than the Red Rhino, but Tang Qi hardly ever maintained it. As for the bullets, he used them as he needed since making them wasn’t a hassle.

Having recently obtained a good deal of materials, Tang Qi was even considering, in addition to concocting Secret dicines, making so new Extraordinary Bullets.

It’s just that having only Sea Demon and lter bullets was a bit monotonous.

Still, he was only considering it since Tang Qi was quite busy.

Routine ditation, practicing Fighting Skills, making Secret dicines, attending classes, fulfilling duties as a police station consultant, and investigating the abnormalities in the Samra family… Tang Qi felt as if he was stretched thin, and for so matters, he had to make choices.

In terms of priorities, surely cultivation and investigation took precedence.

“Should I find an assistant?”

This thought had just erged in Tang Qi’s mind when he shook his head and dismissed it.

Although in that instant, many figures flashed through his mind.

He could choose from the people in the office, especially Stanna who had already stepped half into the Mysterious Side. To so extent, she was already Tang Qi’s assistant, though this was not acknowledged by Tang Qi himself.

Beyond her, there was Sally, which Tang Qi found quite tempting.

In terms of talent for the Transcendent, Tang Qi felt he might not even compare with Sally. After all, that girl was chosen by Doomsday Magic at birth, and after more than a decade of Fertility, it also gave birth to a Witch’s alternate personality. If the two were integrated, one could almost foresee the birth of a powerful Witch.

Or rather, a fearso Witch.

But it was just a thought. Not to ntion Tang Qi himself was in a crisis, but even without the threat from the Samra family, to turn Sally into his assistant would an facing not only the Witch of Misfortune but also an unknown force of Witches.

According to the Hint on the glasses, Sally had already been “reserved” by the Witches.

“Let’s just press down on all of this for now. Before resolving the current crisis, it seems I have no room to let up and consider other matters.”

Muttering to himself silently, Tang Qi finished his last bite of pizza.

After washing his hands and wiping his mouth, Tang Qi said a word to everyone, then turned back to his own office.

Noon was a break ti, temporarily free from the consideration of cases.

Tang Qi did not truly rest either. He silently ditated for a mont, dispersing his scattered thoughts. Then, as usual, he took out the Mysterious Hair Tie, concentrated his spiritual power, and began patiently detangling each strand of differently colored hair.

To so extent, this was also a form of cultivation.

Tang Qi could feel that although he had not entered a ditation State, during the process of untangling the hair knot, his spiritual power experienced a slight increase.

The tangled clump of hair, under the guidance of Tang Qi’s dexterous fingers, loosened strand by strand, revealing a certain hair knot inside. To Tang Qi’s surprise, this ti he encountered a hair knot made up of no fewer than four interwoven strands.

“How brutal!”

Tang Qi muttered to himself.

Having had the Mysterious Hair Tie for so ti, Tang Qi had gradually discerned so patterns of this Curio.

For example, each tangled strand represented a person, and the reason for their entanglent was that they were murdered at a similar ti or died at the hands of the sa “Gregory’s Self-portrait” slave.

Thus, the hair knot in front of him signified that a certain incarnation of the self-portrait slave had assiduously offered four beautiful girls to Gregory.

Although the intertwining of the four hair strands was sowhat complicated, it could not stump Tang Qi.

Approximately fifteen minutes later, the complex hair knot composed of four strands in front of Tang Qi slowly unraveled, and the red, yellow, black, and white strands dissipated together.

Buzz!

At the sa mont, in front of Tang Qi, four beautiful Phantoms appeared.

A red-haired, freckled girl, a girl with braided yellow hair, a black-haired girl, and finally, a very rare white-haired girl.

Like the previous girls, the four bowed to Tang Qi and then began to vanish into the air. However, the sowhat frail-looking white-haired girl drifted over at the last mont and gently kissed Tang Qi’s forehead.

Accompanied by a sowhat familiar chill, an Information Fragnt erged in Tang Qi’s mind.

[You have acquired a Knowledge!]

[You have learned the Antya Language!]

Tang Qi’s mind automatically began digesting the Fragnt while he got to his feet and bowed back to the four girls. He silently thanked the white-haired girl in particular.

He had learned another language, but this one was different from the language bequeathed to him by the two Mohawk Tribe girls previously.

Strictly speaking, the Antya Language should be considered a special form of whistling. It evolved from one of Europe’s oldest languages, the Viotia Language, with each letter and syllable corresponding to different pitches and frequencies. The resulting whistle could be heard for miles.

Knowing this language allowed for the concealnt of a lot of information in whistles, which could be particularly effective at certain tis.

Most importantly, it was also linked to the Extraordinary Domain.

A special Information Fragnt flowed through Tang Qi’s mind.

[Information Fragnt: Antya Language is one of the preferred languages of the Professional “Beast Shepherd,” especially as the Antya Clan perished and fewer people knew the language, it beca increasingly favored by Beast Shepherd Professionals.]

“Beast Shepherd, yet another new Profession.”

Tang Qi murmured, savoring the contained information.
