Chapter 492: Chapter 466 Mature Body
Bang! Bang!
In front of a decayed, ancient giant portal, Tang Qi slowly rose from the bodies of two monsters engulfed in flas, retracting the disguised "Evil Dragon Roar" and covertly tossed two fresh and plump fuels into his Self Furnace.
He then walked beside the portal, toward the half-leaning Extraordinary Warrior "Haisen."
An elder from the Mamba Secret dicine School was administering a Healing Secret dicine to him. Tang Qi pondered for a mont, reached into his "dicine Box," rummaged for a while, and took out a Bone Bowl and a bottle of clear water. He poured the water into the Bone Bowl and whispered, "Hamowa."
Soon, the water in the bone bowl turned into a moss-like color.
This was one of Tang Qi’s finds during his ti in Winston Town; the "collection" of the Immortal Earl, capable of spontaneously generating Healing Potions.
Of course, the level of potions created was not high and was miraculously effective only for external injuries, which suited Haisen at the mont.
Tang Qi had just scavenged the fuel to finish off the monsters; the real resolver was Haisen, at the cost of so seemingly severe injuries.
"Good!"
Facing the Bone Bowl handed over by Tang Qi, Haisen took it and drank without hesitation.
Looking around, the Mamba Elder was mixing Secret dicines to restore Magic Power and treat internal injuries; the Jungle Puppet Master transford the "Nabopu Stone" into an ancient creature with a hard shell to guard the entrance, while Reina Swinton and Timothy kept watch on each side.
It all looked like a harmonious, united exploration team.
Tang Qi retrieved the Bone Bowl and squeezed out a smile at Haisen, his eyelids drooping slightly, a flicker of abnormality passing through the depths of his eyes.
At this point, it had been at least half an hour since Reina Swinton had called to pursue further; they had passed through six mural halls.
There were monsters guarding each hall.
Eventually, they were all dealt with by the group, and natural familiarity arose among them, making the scene seem very harmonious.
As for what the reality was?
Any seasoned Extraordinary adventurer wouldn’t choose to reveal their true intentions to others lightly.
This was a lesson learned from countless death stories.
Walking through six halls, the stories of the Mayans and the Maya Divine System were constantly unfolding before them.
Now any one of them could claim to be an "authority" on Maya people and Maya myths.
Not long ago, they witnessed the spectacle of the "Dusk of the Gods."
Specifically, in the fourth, fifth, and sixth mural halls, the scenes seed to be split into the beginning, middle, and end of a trilogy.
"Sersi was imprisoned, enduring tornt night and day in the Fire Hell, but the situation of the Mayans didn’t improve... The Gods didn’t care about the fate of their descendants, and after mocking Sersi in front of Fire Hell, the deities from the three Divine Factions returned to their Temples, indulging in pleasures."
"The Mayans, who should have beco unprecedentedly strong due to the presence of Gods, even surpassing the Vela Civilization, missed the pri ti for developnt. Inside the Yamada Jungle, the most prosperous epoch arrived, and nurous civilized tribes began to thrive."
"Each possessed so Extraordinary Powers, originating either from a split of the Mayans, relocated from other places, or were descendants of the Vela People... For example, several tribes ruled by the Original Secret dicine School, all had Vera bloodline."
"Nurous tribes waged a war against the Mayans. Given the Gods’ inaction, whether in reality or the supernatural, the Mayans suffered severe setbacks on both fronts, their territories constantly eroded, and deities fell one after another."
"A greater disaster ca from Moon Goddess Barmor, who, due to the Gods’ conspiracy against her daughter, eventually defected from the Maya Divine System and joined another Divine System to beco the new Moon Goddess Maia. She led the other side attacking the Maya Divine Realm."
"In that battle known as the Twilight Battle, both sides suffered heavy casualties, especially the death of Sky God Ivanab, costing the Maya Divine System their strongest combatant, and facing imminent destruction. At this juncture, Wisdom God Kels personally entered Fire Hell, swapped places with Sersi, and requested Sersi’s help for the Maya side."
"Sersi kept her promise, repelled the opposition with her mighty Divine Power. However, following this battle, Maya Gods were nearly extinct, the surviving deities elected the Good God Yuxma as the new leader, but the war-traumatized Mayans did not acknowledge him, and many shifted their faith to Sersi."
"Thereafter, the Maya Civilization entered an era effectively ruled by Sersi."
...
Recalling the content they had seen, Tang Qi and the others stepped into the seventh mural hall.
"Eh?"
As soon as they settled, Reina Swinton, fully imrsed in her role, let out a puzzled and baffled exclamation.
So did the others.
The walls of the hall were still covered with murals painted using bright vermilion.
But it was apparent that the artist was no longer "Kels."
Both the artistry and other qualities exhibited a significant gap.
The Information Fragnt that surfaced in Tang Qi’s mind confird this.
"After the Gods nearly perished, Kels was not released from Fire Hell. The one who replaced him to docunt Maya history beca... Sersi!"
This surprising Information Fragnt surfaced, yet upon reflection, seed logical.
The one suited to take over Kels’s brush was none other than Sersi, who had seized the authority.
Surprised, Tang Qi looked toward the contents of the mural.
Sersi was depicting herself, narrating how the Mayans beca powerful after entering her era.
Though she only held two divine positions of "Hunting and Fertility," her formidable divine power maximized these roles. Under her leadership, the Mayans first recuperated and then began to devour the surrounding tribes.
During so extended periods, tribes were successively extinguished, including the "Original Secret dicine School," representing "the last of the Vila People."
Because of her achievents, other divine beings had to submit.
The subsequent images depicted the Mayans repeatedly performing "massacres," throwing the captured enemies’ bodies into the Heavenly Pit beneath the "Sky Tower" in the Holy Land, sacrificing to the fallen gods, and retaliating for past grudges.
Under her instigation, this "Blood Sacrifice" beca routine, even though the Mayans already ruled most of the Yamada Jungle, it never ceased.
"So that’s it, I understand now. Many scholars studying Mayan history and the civilization of the Southern Continent have one unanswered question: Why did the Mayans, who initially revered goodness and wisdom, suddenly beco ferocious and initiate countless massacres and cruel sacrificial activities at a certain stage?"
"It was Sersi, the goddess of Hunting and Fertility. She not only seized the authority of the Sky God but also the power of the god of wisdom and script."
Reina Swinton excitedly recorded while muttering.
Until finally, they arrived before the last mural.
Almost simultaneously, when the content of that painting ca into sight, Tang Qi and the others felt their hearts "throb" with pupils contracting, as their gazes were wholly drawn to the terrifying spaceship faintly visible at the profound depths of the dark Heavenly Pit depicted in the center of the mural.
Sersi, now a Supre Sovereign Goddess, on a moonless "Eternal Night Day," guided by a mysterious sensation, left her divine throne. She flapped her wings, flying towards the deepest part of the Holy Land - a place strictly forbidden by the Sky God.
In what seed like eternal darkness, a pair of cold, blood-red eyes stared up from the depths.
The mural abruptly ended.
...
"What did she encounter? How did the Mayans eventually get destroyed?"
Again, an intense desire for more filled the minds of Tang Qi and the others.
But as Reina Swinton, as if impulsively, walked toward a corner of the mural, the area reflected in her eyes was entirely empty.
No?
The "Transmission Symbol," which had appeared multiple tis before, was nowhere to be found in this hall.
Despite Reina’s undying curiosity, performing multiple magical tests, the symbol did not appear again.
"Is this the final hall, and the mural ends here?"
While such a guess arose in their minds,
Tang Qi silently scrutinized the hall.
But before he could find any "clues," a voice full of surprise and astonishnt suddenly ca from the Extraordinary Warrior "Haisen."
"Look there!"
The group looked towards Haisen. This illiterate warrior, perhaps due to his misunderstanding of the murals or a lack of interest, unexpectedly found sothing amiss in the hall while wandering around.
A scene that could only be seen from a specific angle.
As Tang Qi and the others approached, following his guidance, they all saw it.
Around the four pillars inside the hall, footprints erged, their edges faintly glowing red, almost indiscernible in other areas.
Once Reina Swinton cast a particular magical spell, the footprints beca distinctly visible.
Not only the pillars, but the central area of the hall also had red footprints.
The arrangent and pattern distinctly ford a special Magic Array.
Under spells like "Image Formation Technique," a blurry human figure began walking from the first pillar of the hall entrance, showing everyone the sequence of all footprints.
When the figure dispersed, everyone exchanged glances, having the sa speculation.
"If there’s no surprise, the owner of the footprints is... Numba!"
"Or rather, Numba before being devoured by the Evil Seed."
Unlike the others, Tang Qi added a sentence, utterly sure of this speculation.
At that mont, ghost light spilled from the Magic Array ford by the footprints, and Information Fragnts exploded in Tang Qi’s mind.
"An Ancient Transmission Array leading to an unknown space... in that space, there are innurable Alien Species, all mature bodies!"
"Alien Species Mature Bodies!"
Tang Qi felt a slight tremble in his body, almost losing control of his expression.
