Only the sound of soldiers marching could be heard all around Winterseed.
Rowan and his pets, Dragun, Eliman and rla as well as the captains led the marching soldiers toward the exit of the village.
As they got closer to the exit, the sounds of the monsters approaching started becoming louder. It kept getting louder every second that passed by, then the dreadful inhuman cries of the monsters started accompanying the sound of their footsteps, signifying their closeness.
The soldiers had serious expressions on their faces — The hunting trip had solidified their courage. Even in the presence of death, they had learned to put up a good fight.
Winston walked closely beside captain Roland with a cold expression on his face. Ever since Rowan was abducted, the young swordsman had been training nonstop, mastering as many new and effective sword maneuvers as he could.
His goal at that ti was get stronger and leave the village to find Rowan no matter how long it takes, even if it takes decades. As long as he found him, he would be fulfilled.
Thankfully, Rowan arrived, healthy and full of power as usual.
'I will not let those ugly monsters disturb the peace of Lord Rowan!' Winston swore to himself.
Aside the young vengeful swordsman, other soldiers shared similar thoughts — They were ready to face whatever adversaries lay ahead no matter how strong they were.

Rowan was greeted with countless notification entailing the constant resolves birthed in the heart of his n.
'I kind of missed these sort of notifications.'
Rowan smiled calmly as he stared at the path ahead.
They were only a few minutes away from exiting the village completely.
From their current position, they could see cloud of dust rising into the sky from the chaotic movent of the hordes.
The scene was scary and mind torturing. An ordinary human without enough military training would collapse at the scenario approaching the village.
'This would be very hectic.'
Rowan comnted inwardly.
While he had to fight these monsters, he also had to find a suitable ti to rge with the affinities of his new brilliant mage allies.
His plans initially were to copy the affinities the mont he arrived at Winterseed. Unfortunately, he never knew that the monster calamity would begin right after he arrived — It was almost as though the calamity had purposely waited for his arrival to begin.
'Sigh'
Rowan let out a short sigh.
"Brace yourselves. Do not show fear!"
Rowan hyped up his soldiers.
They reacted with loud chants.
Not wasting ti, Rowan forced them to start sprinting.
Their thunderous footsteps filled the entire village in a matter of seconds.
The soldiers sprinted for minutes and courageously closed the distance with their adversaries.
HOWL!
SCREECH!
ROAR!
SQUEAK!
THUD!
Countless horrifying sounds filled their eyes. Their eyes fell upon the monster hordes arriving, only a few seconds away from collision.
The first row of the horde consisted of unknown monster races — They had huge humanoid structures, towering over 3 ters. They were of different colors and their faces were morphed into countless horrifying structures, so with sharp fangs and others with terrifying mandibles.
Above the first row were huge flying monsters — The recognizable ones were the dark crows! They had the appearance of normal crows but were as big as an adult, they had a pitch dark appearance with fiery wings, beaks and eyes.
They let out piercing screeches as they descended to clash with the humans. Shooting out sizable but powerful fireballs as they approached.
"Blaze now!"
Rowan turned to Blaze.
The divine beast nodded and halted, its eyes glowed with a fiery red glow.
FLA SYNCHRONISATION!
The fireballs rocketing towards the army halted midair and changed pathways instantly. They flew back at the monster horses, marking the first attack and counter attack from the human side.

A significant amount of flying monsters were slayed.
Rowan smirked.
"Attack!"
His voice thundered.
Following a thundering war chant, the soldiers unleashed attacks — Arrows darted through the air aid at the flying monsters.
The swordman clutched their sword and collided with their foes — The clangor of their blades added to the mixes of chaos sounds.
rla chanted a simple summoning spell.
Dozens of purple hobgoblins appeared in the battlefield and clashed with the hordes. With brute strength, they slaughtered their enemies — They smashed, grabbed their foes and tore them apart limb from limbs. They were even more ferocious against the monsters than they were with the cultists.
rla chanted the sa spell and another dozen of the sa summoned creatures entered the battlefield with brute strength.
Almost a hundred purple hobgoblins had already joined the Battle thanks to the assistance of the beautiful summoner.
The beautiful summoner even brought out a flashy spear and clashed with the monsters that managed to penetrate through the defense of her summoned creatures.
"So cool... But not as cool as this."
Eliman increased his movent speed and launched several ters into the air.
"SACRED BLOOD CHAIN!"
Dozens of powerful blood colored chains sprang down from his outstretched hands and snaked towards the monsters.
The sacred blood chains reached the ground in a matter of seconds and attached themselves to the bodies of dozens. The chains wrapped around the body of monsters, moving like a cunning speed with lightning speed.
This only happened in a matter of three seconds.
The next two seconds, those monsters not withstanding their size and race were suck dry of their blood.
They beca nothing but useless corpses in a matter of just two seconds.
They didn't even get the grace to cry for assistance from their fellow monsters.
The blood mage grinned as he single handedly took down about two dozen monsters in a short ti.
"If only I had unlimited mana."
The blood mage muttered as he activated another blood magic spell at a clique of doomskulls moving alongside each other. The doomskulls are monsters with huge fleshy build, they had disgusting green skins but their heads were devoid of flesh, only bones hence their na doomskulls.
In a matter of minutes, hundreds of monsters fell.
But this was only the beginning.
