The Mane Bear’s interrogation took place on the fifth level of the fortress.
Master Wang stood in front of the monitor, along with Uncle Tai and Red Snake, watching the interrogation unfold.
The battle that had just occurred was brief but extrely fierce.
Under the pincer attack of Red Snake and Deep Sea in their half-human chas, and with Wu Man unleashing the Directional Spiritual Impact, this burly man had stubbornly resisted for a full thirty seconds before being forcefully restrained by Deep Sea.
Mane Bear indeed lived up to the reputation of being a B-Level bodily Spirit Ability User, having taken hits from two mini-missiles and still bouncing around energetically.
Now, he sat in the electric chair, his charred skin constantly peeling off, resembling a black bear turned spirit, with eyes bright and sharp.
Several pieces of Mane Bear’s equipnt had been destroyed in the battle.
This caused Wang Jixuan a slight disappointnt.
Wan Xiaoqi, ever diligent, was bustling around, providing the three ’interrogation supervisors’ with fruit and tea.
In the monitor, Deep Sea, Zheng Shiduo, and Wu Man were seated across a long table facing Mane Bear.
Zheng Shiduo was in charge of questioning, while Deep Sea and Wu Man were responsible for suppressing the man.
After stating his code na, Mane Bear did not say much else, his face bearing the ssage—

Zheng Shiduo slamd the table and furiously cursed,
"Mane Bear! I advise you to confess honestly! Which departnt are you from! What are you doing sneaking in here! Who is your supervisor! Did you kill those two soldiers! Did you knock out that group of soldiers!"
"Hmph," Mane Bear snorted coldly, "Captain Zheng, you’re underestimating my discipline."
Deep Sea pressed a button.
The electric chair crackled, Mane Bear’s body shook several tis, his face making various comical expressions, yet he uttered sounds of...
"Ah! Exhilarating!"
"Increase the voltage! Woohoo! I’m taking off!"
Ahwoo! Moo moo moo!"
When the electrocution ended, Mane Bear, with his hair standing on end, scoffed arrogantly, "Are you underestimating ? Is that all?"
Deep Sea raised his left hand, the Destruction Cannon charging up, accompanied by a synthesized male voice,
"Destruction Cannon level three charging, humanoid extermination mode activated."
"I was wrong! I was wrong!" Mane Bear imdiately said,
"Cough, I take back my mocking! There’s no need for full-on fight-to-the-death, right? We’re all valuable combat assets on the human side! I didn’t kill anyone!"
Deep Sea calmly lowered his left hand.
Zheng Shiduo, looking at the lie detector panel in front of him, asked, "Who killed those two soldiers?"
"Two nobodies from inside Fortress 82, they’re outside waiting to back up right now."
Mane Bear clicked his tongue:
"If I tell you everything I know, will you let go?"
Zheng Shiduo bluntly said, "Letting you go is impossible, whether to imprison or to execute you, or what kind of punishnt to use, can still be considered."
"You guys wouldn’t kill . Killing would an a B-level Spirit Ability User died in Fortress 76. You’ve gone to great lengths to drive out the Spirit Ability Users here, isn’t it to provide a haven for this young man?"
Mane Bear sniffed, calmly narrating:
"I don’t understand political struggles, but I know how to investigate.
"Truth be told, we are a four-person team, and I’m second to last in strength... because the last one’s abilities are too poor, allowing to hold a spot in the top three."
"Our leader’s strength is terrifying. If she wanted to fight, however, her philosophy is humans shouldn’t fight humans.
"So, she would most likely only rescue and not lay a hand on you."
"If I die here, then she would note in the investigation report—’Fortress 76 is extrely dangerous,’ and within no more than twelve hours, an S-level assassin Spirit Ability User would appear and eradicate this place completely."
"Yes, half-human ch’s are strong, but the true combat effectiveness of half-human ch’s lies in your ability to pilot powerful cha."
"Your body enhancents and modifications are ant to handle the cha’s strain. "How about this, let’s make a deal? I’ll even reveal the positions of those two nobodies for you to kill to vent your anger?"

Zheng Shiduo leaned back, "You’re quite the planner, aren’t you?"
Mane Bear earnestly said, "Captain Zheng, there’s sothing irresistible about your scent."
"For that statent, I’ll give you the cigarette," Zheng Shiduo took out a cigarette and casually threw it, which Mane Bear caught in his mouth.
Mane Bear blurted out, "What about a light?"
"I never said I’d give you a light," Zheng Shiduo rolled his eyes, "Explain your plan."
Mane Bear muttered a curse and grunted, "We were mainly investigating two individuals, Black Storm and this young man. If you can’t handle it, just tuck this young man back in the Nutrition Storage, let snap a photo, and I’ll give you a moderate threat assessnt. The old fogies in Spiritual Ability City might brush it off, especially given the Commander’s influence."
Deep Sea inquired, "Do you think we’re fools?"
"This is my genuine suggestion."
Mane Bear casually shrugged:
"Spiritual Ability City isn’t as united as you think, but often those hardliners have the loudest voices, so much that we all seem like enemies of humanity.
"Fortress 76 has already caught the attention of those above, even if you eliminate , kill our investigation team, more Spirit Ability Users will appear."
"The 13th Biological Research Institute in Spiritual Ability City, as a global organization, has too many Spirit Ability Users, B-levels are di a dozen."
"Local Defense Army needs Spirit Ability Users for decapitation tasks, Spirit Ability Users need the Defense Army to protect the human societal body, enabling a continuous ergence of Spirit Ability Users. We’re mutually dependent yet quietly competing, but we’re all humans, aren’t we?"
