The director flew into a rage. Tyce stood there, head lowered, silently enduring the fury and insults.

As Head of Security, no matter what had happened, the Tianmu Glazed Bowl had been stolen on his watch.

The result was clear—and there was no excuse that could absolve him.

Tyce had held the position of Head of Security at the British Museum for six years. After retiring from the special operations unit, he'd been recomnded directly to the museum, starting out as deputy head.

Two years later, the previous head was in a serious car accident and lost a leg. Tyce took over.

For years, Tyce had run the museum's security team like clockwork.

And, to be fair, no theft had ever occurred—because no one had ever dared to try.

Zhang Yang was the first.

The only one.

And not only did he send a warning letter ahead of ti—he actually succeeded.

It wasn't just the director's reputation that was ruined. The entire British Museum was now a global laughingstock.

The director's face darkened as he gave his order.

"Tyce, I don't care what you do or how you do it."

"I'm giving you three days to capture Kaitō Kid."

"Three days from now, I want the Tianmu Glazed Bowl back on this table."

Tyce had served in special operations, even as a squad leader. The people around him were all the real deal.

This wasn't sothing that could be handled publicly by the museum anymore. Sending Tyce after him was the most suitable approach.

And Tyce understood exactly what the director ant.

"Understood."

Seeing the fire still burning behind Tyce's eyes, the director sighed and waved him off.

Of course, he wasn't really planning to fire Tyce. The man's abilities were undeniable. Losing him would make it nearly impossible to find another capable leader for security.

Besides, he still needed Tyce to catch Zhang Yang—and recover the Tianmu Glazed Bowl.

As soon as he left the office, Tyce pulled out his phone and ssaged two contacts.

"British Museum was hit. I need backup. We're going after Kaitō Kid."

Replies ca fast.

Carson was the first to respond.

"I can be there by tomorrow morning."

Then ca Jayhan.

"et at 9 a.m. We'll talk in person."

Both of them were also retired special ops. The three had been close back in the unit.

With them on board, Tyce felt much more confident.

"Kaitō Kid—I will catch you. And I'll personally throw you behind bars."

The British Museum spent the whole night trying to inventory everything but still hadn't finished by morning. Even past 8 a.m., the museum remained closed.

anwhile, outside in the square, a crowd had already gathered.

Everyone had co for the spectacle.

"They're still closed. I guess everything we saw online is true!"

"This is insane. Kaitō Kid actually stole sothing from the British Museum!"

"Holy hell, what did he steal? The museum hasn't made any official statent."

"If I'd known this was real, I would've co last night just to witness it!"

The number of visitors roaming the square was easily three tis the usual crowd.

At that mont, Zhang Yang opened his sleepy eyes.

After he got back last night, he browsed the online reactions for a bit—then went straight to bed.

[Ding!]

[Mission complete: Successfully stole the Tianmu Glazed Bowl!]

[Reward unlocked: Kaitō Kid Skill Roulette spin in progress...]

About five seconds later...

[Ding!]

[Congratulations! You've acquired Kaitō Kid's skill—Advanced Disguise Technique!]

Still groggy from sleep, Zhang Yang heard the system chi echoing in his head.

He sat up in bed as sunlight poured in through the window.

"Nice. At least the system didn't bug while I was sleeping."

Advanced Disguise Technique was one of Kaitō Kid's signature abilities.

His disguise skills were legendary—flawless and impossible to detect.

Zhang Yang felt great after pulling Advanced Disguise Technique from the skill roulette.

Then the system chid again.

[Ding!]

[Congratulations, host! Successfully stole the Tianmu Glazed Bowl— 8,000 points awarded!]

[Ding!]

[New Bonus Mission: Return the Tianmu Glazed Bowl to the Dragon Nation Museum!]

[Reward: Double points!]

Zhang Yang frowned slightly.

"The Tianmu Glazed Bowl was a cultural artifact lost during warti. Returning it to the Dragon Nation is the right thing to do."

He was a descendant of Huaxia, after all—and returning the bowl would earn him double points.

Those points could be used in the system's points shop to trade for tools—or even skills.

Everything Zhang Yang used last night—the Illusion Dummy, the smoke bomb, the flash bomb—was all exchanged from the shop.

Of course, the shop offered way more than just that. There were plenty of other gadgets, like surveillance doves, tear gas, magic playing cards, and so on.

And it also contained Kaitō Kid's other signature skills. But unlocking those required a ton of points, so for now, Zhang Yang had no plans to redeem full skills.

Tid skill cards were the more practical option.

Around 6,000 points could get him one limited-ti skill card.

If he wanted to unlock a full skill outright, it'd cost anywhere from 100,000 to 500,000 points. He was nowhere near that for now.

Later that morning, the security gate of the Dragon Nation Embassy in Britain received a package. Attached to it was a white card, with four bold characters written on it:

Return to Owner.

On the back of the card was a minimalist portrait of Kaitō Kid.

The package was addressed to the Dragon Nation Embassy—no specific recipient.

So the security officer reported it to his superior.

When the higher-up arrived and opened the package, he was so stunned he could barely speak.

Inside a layer of protective foam was the Tianmu Glazed Bowl.

Just one hour earlier, he'd seen the news about the British Museum being robbed the night before. The stolen artifact was none other than the Tianmu Glazed Bowl.

And now—it had just been delivered to their embassy?

The embassy official, still in shock, asked, "Who brought this?"

The guard answered exactly as it happened. "A courier. He dropped it off and left."

"There was also this card!"

"Kai... Kaitō Kid?!"

As soon as the official saw Kaitō Kid's signature on the card, everything clicked.

The thief who robbed the British Museum last night—it was Kaitō Kid.

He hadn't watched the livestream, but he'd read the headlines.

"This matter must be kept confidential. Don't tell anyone."

Leaving only those words behind, the official picked up the package and hurried inside.

The Tianmu Glazed Bowl was a Dragon Nation artifact that had ended up overseas, forcefully absorbed into the British Museum's collection. And there were many more like it.

The official rushed into his office and imdiately contacted higher authorities back in the holand.

This ti, no matter what, the Tianmu Glazed Bowl had to be returned to the country in perfect condition.

And before that happened, the British Museum must not find out.

This entire operation had to be handled discreetly.

More importantly...

Why had Kaitō Kid sent the bowl back to the embassy?

That part of the story remained a mystery.

At that mont, Zhang Yang had already driven back ho and parked in his storage garage.

anwhile, Carson and Jayhan both arrived one after the other.

Tyce greeted them personally and brought them into a first-floor office.

The British Museum had worked through the night and finally finished inventorying the exhibits. It was confird—only the Tianmu Glazed Bowl was missing.

But for now, the museum remained closed to the public.

"Tyce, seriously? One Kaitō Kid, and you're already pulling your hair out?"

Carson sat down with a smirk and teased.

They'd both caught the story while traveling—Kaitō Kid had hit the British Museum.
