Leo instantly understood what Holska ant.

With all the charges on Rubio’s warrant, he was set to spend the rest of his life behind bars.

But if they gave him a sliver of hope, there was a good chance they could strike a deal.

People like him—give them the right offer, and they’d cooperate with anything.

Leo didn’t hesitate long. He agreed with Holska’s suggestion almost imdiately.

He turned around, went back into the transport van, and walked straight over to take the handcuff keys from one of the agents. He unlocked Rubio’s cuffs.

Rubio was caught off guard. He looked completely baffled, staring at Leo and Holska with a blank face.

"Rubio, I’ve got a shot at redemption for you. If you pull it off, I’ll pretend tonight never happened."

Rubio rubbed his sore wrists, his expression still full of doubt.

"What’s the job?"

Leo handed him a phone and showed him Zhang Yang’s latest post.

"This painting of Wang Zhaojun—we’re guessing it’s already inside the Dragon Nation embassy."

"If you can steal it and deliver it to , all your problems will disappear."

Rubio let out a cold laugh.

They had impersonated Kaitō Kid before, so of course they understood his style and thods.

Leo clearly just wanted to use him as a pawn. Since BND couldn’t touch the Dragon Nation embassy, they were sending a wanted man to do their dirty work.

"Director Leo, you want to break into the Dragon Nation embassy and steal a painting Kaitō Kid gifted them? That’s no simple task."

It was basically a suicide mission. Rubio had zero confidence in pulling it off.

Leo kept a straight face.

"Don’t worry. I’ll get you all the intel you need."

"So, are you in or not?"

Rubio hesitated for a few seconds, then nodded.

If he refused, they’d just slap the cuffs back on.

Now he had a chance to walk out free—first step was getting out.

Both n had their own motives. Leo didn’t trust a wanted criminal, not for a second.

Before letting Rubio go, Leo ordered an agent to bring over a tracking wristband and strapped it to his arm.

The wristband didn’t just track location—it could also release a high-voltage shock strong enough to knock soone out.

It was made from rare tal, incredibly tough, and could automatically tighten.

With that on, Leo could afford to let Rubio go.

If he acted out, they could bring him back in an instant.

Neither side trusted the other. But for their own gain, they were still willing to cooperate.

"I’ll drop you sowhere quiet and out of the way. Rubio, you’ve got three days, max."

"If you can capture Kaitō Kid, I’ll make sure you can go anywhere you want from now on."

Leo was going all in to catch Kaitō Kid.

To wipe Rubio’s record clean, they’d need a fall guy.

For Country D, that was totally doable.

The only real challenge was getting higher-ups to approve it.

If it got exposed, Country D would be blasted by the global community.

The transport van slowly drove away from the concert venue.

With Kaitō Kid no longer a threat, the show would run smoothly.

At this point, even if soone had planned to cause trouble at the concert, the idea had already died.

Rubio was dropped off at the entrance of a narrow alley. The van door opened, and Leo shoved him out, warning coldly, "Rubio, you’d better not try anything."

"Rember, you’ve only got three days."

His final glance landed on the tracker cuff, reminding Rubio exactly what it could do. If he stepped out of line, they could reel him back in anyti.

The van pulled away, leaving Rubio standing on the street in a hoodie and jeans.

"Heh... Kaitō Kid."

He pulled his cap low and quickly disappeared into the night.

Tonight’s failure? Rubio pinned it all on Zhang Yang. If Zhang Yang hadn’t cut the rope, he’d have flown out on the chopper already.

"Casey, I’ll wait for you at Lant Plaza. Co pick up."

"Leo made a deal with —he wants to steal the painting from the Dragon Nation embassy and catch Kaitō Kid."

Casey had seen him get arrested with her own eyes, so she obviously wasn’t answering his call now.

Rubio left her a voice ssage and made his way to Lant Plaza.

By the early hours of the morning, articles were flooding the internet. Even in the dead of night, the views and comnts were off the charts.

"Tyce didn’t even get mad after the painting of Wang Zhaojun was stolen. Unbelievable."

"Clearly, Tyce was thrilled Kaitō Kid showed up at his concert. Those two together was like a dream collab!"

"Shit! What’s up with the fake Kaitō Kid on stage? Why hasn’t Leo made a statent?"

"Didn’t BND take him away? He’s probably being interrogated now."

"He ca in on an Enforcent Bureau chopper. I want to see how Leo spins that!"

Tyce’s performance barely got any attention. The biggest buzz was all about Kaitō Kid.

Rubio’s impersonation made him a hot topic too—especially after he got dragged away by BND. Everyone was demanding answers from Leo.

People weren’t just curious about who Rubio was. They were obsessed with how Zhang Yang had managed to walk in midair.

"This clip isn’t edited. No CGI. I was there in person—I swear on my life!"

"This is insane. Kaitō Kid has to be a secret magician!"

"The fake Kaitō Kid was just pathetic. The real one would never enter like that."

"Tyce was technically the one on stage, but the real star was Kaitō Kid. The whole thing was beyond epic."

Ever since Zhang Yang showed up at the concert, the hype hadn’t dropped for a second. By the next day, people were still fired up, discussing it non-stop.

No one had figured anything out, but that didn’t stop the flood of speculation.

So fans were even scrubbing the livestream fra by fra, slowing every second, looking for the trick. But they found nothing.

"Oh my god! There’s no flaw at all!"

"If we could spot the trick, he wouldn’t be Kaitō Kid."

"He really was walking midair, without any support. Is that even possible?"

"Co on, people—trust science. That footage defies the laws of physics!"

"When it cos to Kaitō Kid, nothing’s impossible. He’s hands down the most legendary thief the world has ever seen."

That entrance last night only made Kaitō Kid’s na even louder. He gained even more attention—and even more fans.
