Seeing that, Zhang Yang stopped and got ready for the blackout.

Make them nervous, and they’re more likely to ss up.

He watched the countdown in his monocle, then snapped his fingers.

In an instant, the lights on several nearby streets went out, including the streetlamps and all the lighting around the museum. The world was swallowed by darkness.

[Fuck! Why’d the power go out now?]

[This has to be sothing Kaitō Kid set up in advance. He didn’t co here to surrender. Harrison’s in for it now!]

[This blackout is when the real show begins!]

[Now Harrison’s chances are even worse. Maybe he could’ve caught Kaitō Kid earlier!]

[Victor that clown, he already lost the guy—why hasn’t he co back yet?]

Zhang Yang tossed a smoke bomb at his feet. While chaos erupted, he slipped into Harrison’s team unnoticed.

The whole place was a ss. Harrison and his team were groping through the smoke, trying to find him.

But with his monocle on, Zhang Yang wasn’t affected at all—neither the darkness nor the smoke.

"Harrison, see you at the afterparty."

He chuckled lightly and slipped quietly into the museum.

This operation had shifted on the fly. Since Harrison and the others didn’t follow the original plan to return the artifacts, Zhang Yang had to find them himself.

And those two fully ard n who dropped from the helicopter earlier were also inside.

Here and there in the display cases, he spotted empty spaces. Those were the artifacts ant to be returned to the British Museum.

After failing to find anything in the smoke, Harrison was the first to realize what had happened. He charged into the museum with his n.

But the interior was pitch black. Only a few green-lit ergency exit signs gave off a faint glow.

There were also plenty of columns and decorative screens throughout the place. Zhang Yang used them to slip past the officers easily.

He moved silently, weaving through the museum with ease, completely avoiding the eyes of the enforcers and agents.

Many footsteps echoed all around, but not a single sound ca from him.

He not only dodged their sight but even followed Harrison’s movents as closely as possible.

’At this point, the one I trust most might actually be Harrison.’

Zhang Yang let out a silent, wry laugh.

There was no ti to search the whole place. Following Harrison would be the most efficient way.

Harrison would definitely check on the artifacts. As long as Zhang Yang stuck close, he’d find them too.

On the third floor of the museum, Harrison pushed open the office door of the person in charge.

"Director, did you catch Kaitō Kid?" the man asked nervously.

By now it was obvious that Kaitō Kid was targeting the hundreds of artifacts here. Of course the director was tense.

He had just started to breathe again earlier when Harrison and his n had the thief surrounded.

But that didn’t last long. As soon as the power went out, his heart went right back to his throat.

Harrison shook his head grimly.

"From now on, if anyone enters, notify imdiately."

The director nodded seriously.

Harrison turned and left to rejoin the search teams.

Zhang Yang was hiding just above the hallway. His legs were split across the walls, holding him in place. The spot Harrison had just exited from—he passed right underneath him.

Zhang Yang stayed unnoticed. Harrison didn’t look up, so he never saw him.

Zhang Yang had heard everything Harrison said to the director.

The artifacts were in that office.

He waited until Harrison walked into the stairwell, then dropped down and quickly changed into the exact sa outfit. He disguised himself to look just like Harrison.

"Harrison isn’t at ease, so he ca back again."

With a small smirk, Zhang Yang pushed open the office door.

Sure enough, the director was startled. "Director Harrison? What now?"

Zhang Yang looked exactly like Harrison, clothes and all. Even his voice was a perfect match.

There was nothing to worry about—unless the director had seen him change, he wouldn’t be suspicious.

"Let those people outside keep searching. Kaitō Kid is too sneaky. I’m worried he’ll take the chance to slip in."

"The artifacts are still in the sa place?"

The director nodded quickly like a pecking chicken.

"I need to guard the artifacts myself to make sure nothing goes wrong."

The director hesitated for a second but then nodded in agreent.

Then he moved aside a bookshelf behind his desk, revealing the door to a vault.

It had a large chanical lock with an exaggerated rotating dial.

The director opened it without delay. Inside was a space of about dozens of square ters, lined with display cases.

These were items not currently on display. The British artifacts had already been packed into black briefcases.

Just then, the office door was kicked open.

The two n from the helicopter walked in, both broad-shouldered and imposing.

Before the director could say a word, one of them raised a hand and fired—not bullets, but a shot of tranquilizer.

The director pulled the dart out, then collapsed in under ten seconds.

Zhang Yang stood inside the vault, calm as ever, watching them approach.

They stopped at the entrance and took off their black masks and helts.

"Harrison? Or Kaitō Kid?" the scruffy one asked, mocking him.

Clearly, he’d already figured out the disguise.

If they dared barge in like this, it probably ant they’d already dealt with the real Harrison.

So unless Zhang Yang was a complete fool, everyone in the room knew this was Kaitō Kid in disguise.

The other man wasn’t nearly as polite.

"Kaitō Kid, get out of the vault now!"

"You still have a chance to run. But once the enforcers and agents get up here, it’ll be too late!"

Zhang Yang chuckled. He didn’t take him seriously at all.

"You’re pretty rude, huh?"

He was the one who found this place first. Even if they didn’t get in each other’s way, he should at least get to pick one item for himself.

But this guy wanted everything.

The man was about to lose his temper when the scruffy one stopped him.

"Kaitō Kid, which artifact are you after?"

"I’ll let you have it. But you’ve got one minute."

He tapped his watch and actually started timing it.

These two were likely the ones who robbed the bank vault last night. No matter how many artifacts went missing from the museum tonight, Kaitō Kid would be blad.

Even if they looted the entire place, the bla would land squarely on him.

Zhang Yang didn’t waste any more words. He turned and started searching for the Eastern Zhou Golden Sword Hilt.
