The charcoal burned quietly, emanating sparks amidst the red and yellow flas, warm as... baking by fire!

Bi Fang, lying on his heated kang bed and covered with Musk Ox Skin, sweated slightly at his temples, his back drenched with sweat, each pore in pain like being pricked with needles, as if a thorn was in his back!

"Haha!"

Bi Fang suddenly awoke with his back soaked in sweat. Instinctively, he reached for the wooden spear leaning against the wall, and only after grasping it did he realize he was still in the cabin and nothing had happened.

Strange, had he had a nightmare?

Bi Fang wondered but wasn't affected by the nightmare. He reached to touch the heated kang bed, and its temperature wasn't too high, the sa as the past few nights. Why would he sweat so much today?

Did he have a fever?

Bi Fang reached to touch his forehead, but couldn't make sense of it. Goudan was panting next to him, looking like a dead dog with no reaction at all.

Just when Bi Fang thought everything was an illusion, perhaps due to him staying in the wilderness for the first ti for so long and it was simply discomfort erging from his subconscious, a slight scraping noise ca from outside the cabin.

Bi Fang was startled; his grip on the spear tightened, bones protruding as if a green snake was slithering through.

Outside the door, there was sothing!

...

Zheng Fahua was a diligent student and a mature college student at that. He had followed the rules through middle school, attended a standard high school, and in turn adhered strictly through high school to get into an average university,

However, Zheng Fahua, heeding the advice of his family elders who had never attended university, treated it as a relaxing playground, frequently skipping classes to play gas and read novels in the dormitory. Now at the end of the term, looking at the terrible scores on his past test papers, he regretted not studying sooner, clutching his textbooks for a night of desperate cramming.

But even so, Zheng Fahua didn't give up his hobbies—watching live streams.

Zheng Fahua held his textbooks while the laptop fan on his desk blew vigorously, sounding almost like a torrential rain outside the window. The screen wasn't displaying a pretty girl but a live ga broadcast currently in progress.

The strear in the screen played masterfully, securing a GG. Just as Zheng Fahua exclaid at the poor play and thought about using Lore's Law Q, a pop-up "Continuous excitent, not to be missed" jumped onto the screen.

"Master Fang streaming? What's going on, did it freeze again?"

Zheng Fahua was not only a gaming enthusiast; he was also a Wilderness Survivalist enthusiast.

Ever since he'd first heard phrases like "the best in the wild," "man at the top of the food chain," and "god of hunting" from a friend, he thought they were about so famous ga strear, so he searched online.

Zheng Fahua was completely drawn to Wilderness Survivalist from then on, leaving behind Shark for Wolf Fang's embrace. He had just seen Bi Fang stop streaming at noon; considering the ti difference, shouldn't it be late evening when he woke up?

Could there have been so kind of accident?

Zheng Fahua kicked the upper bunk and called out, "Bro, wake up, co watch Master Fang show off!"

The bunkmate above, the very culprit who had dragged him into this obsession.

"Huh? Master Fang? Have we had dinner yet?"

His nap-disoriented roommate fumbled for his phone under the pillow just as Zheng Fahua below him exclaid in surprise, "Crap, wolves!"

[Such a huge wolf!]

Audiences sward into the live stream, voicing the sa shock.

Bi Fang clenched the spear in his hand, the weapon being his only source of a semblance of safety. He glanced at the drone, knowing the live stream had started, and lowered his voice.

"For the past few days, no animals rustled at my door, making sowhat complacent, but I didn't expect that when they did co, they would co in big."

Indeed, a pack of over twenty Arctic Wolves, how could they not be unnerving?

Ordinary people, waking up to find their cabins surrounded by wolves, would probably be scared to death; fortunately, Bi Fang was no ordinary person and managed to keep his cool.

Bi Fang finally understood why he, who had been sleeping soundly, suddenly broke out in a sweat as if a thorn was in his back.

Beastly Instinct!

This god-tier talent played its heaven-defying role!

Through the observation hole in Bi Fang's wooden wall, the audience could clearly see the pack of wolves outside. Just by the observation hole on this side, there were nine Arctic Wolves, and wolves could occasionally be seen wandering from other directions,

Each of these Arctic Wolves was as big as an Alaska, but far from as docile; whether it was the sharp teeth in their wolfish grin or their sinewy limbs, everything about them scread that they were bona fide hunting machines.

In the wilderness, they contended with huge musk oxen and herds of reindeer!

The Arctic Wolf was not the "delicate figure" of the Timber Wolf.

In the Arctic, very few creatures could survive; common ones that were well-known included the polar bear and the Arctic Fox, flourishing in the Arctic thanks to their natural physical advantages.

The Arctic Wolf was different, relying on its tenacious will and astonishing intelligence to secure a foothold for itself in the Arctic.

"What to do, what to do, they are digging holes; are they eating Old Fang's prey?"

"Dammit, how can you endure this?"

"Crush them!"

"Don't be so impulsive..."

"Speaking of which, are Goudan and the others sleeping that soundly?"

Seeing the barrage of comnts, Bi Fang couldn't help but glance at Goudan, who was still sticking out its tongue. It had to be said that dostic dogs had ultimately lost their wildness. Skilled at pulling sleds, yes, but when it ca to fighting, these six dogs could never transform into a Liutou Wolf.

Bi Fang quietly propped the spear against the wooden door and then went to other directions to peer through observation holes, trying to ascertain the number of wolves in the pack.

The more the audience looked, the colder their hearts grew.

At least twenty!

"My God, isn't that too many? Twenty?"

"Why are there also little wolves?"

"The Arctic environnt is so harsh that Arctic Wolf packs gather in larger numbers to gain enough strength, coming together to warm each other. Here, the packs are not just a 'seven wolves' affair, but typically in the double digits, larger families even have 20 to 30 mbers,"

Bi Fang watched for a long while, holding the spear, indecisive; he didn't know whether to go out and drive away the large wolf pack or not.

If it had been a smaller family, ten or fewer, with Bi Fang's current strength, he would have been confident about driving them away without likely getting hurt.

But when it ca to more than twenty... it wasn't so much about not being able to defeat them as it was about the high chances of accidents occurring.

Like getting bitten, or sothing else...

Bi Fang looked down at Goudan, playing dead; once the fight started, they certainly wouldn't be able to continue sleeping, and then—several of these six sled dogs might not make it.

If he were to hide in the cabin, using the narrow terrain, he could remain undefeated, but doing so seed to do little help to drive away the Arctic Wolves and save the reindeer and musk oxen.

After all, the wolves weren't stupid. They could just eat their food outside; why would they need to enter the house and seek trouble?

"The Arctic Wolves must have discovered us by now, but I think they're not after us—just my ga."

Bi Fang sighed, "Forget it, after all, the Arctic Wolf is a protected species, let them go this ti."
