Chapter 25: Chapter 24 Pharmaceutical Manufacturing

It has been said that Yun Sheng wants to prepare her own dicine, and except for the village chief's grandfather, almost all the villagers do not believe her.

Recently, because Yun Sheng worked as a dicine Gathering Boy and because of the earlier competition with Ding Lei, her reputation in the village has greatly improved.

Yet, after all, she is just a six-year-old child. Even if she has a natural talent for dicinal herbs, it does not an she can prepare dicines.

Not to ntion, just by slling the Hemostatic Agent, she could prepare dicines.

To prepare dicines, even if it's just a basic dicine like the Hemostatic Agent, it needs to be done by a Pharmacist or a specialized Magic Pharmacist to be successful.

In the Wuji Continent, dicines are divided into herbal dicines and formulated drugs, with herbal dicines referring to all unprocessed herbs and formulated drugs referring to Ancient dicine and Magic dicine.

Herbs like the Blood Stopping Flower and Moonlight Grass are the most basic and need to be refined before they can be made into Magic dicine or Ancient dicine.

According to the regulations on the Wuji Continent, only Pharmacists accredited by the Magic Temple or dicine Emperor Pavilion are qualified to prepare dicines.

Yun Sheng is only the most basic dicine Gathering Boy, not even a dicine Man who can boil or test the dicines, hence, no wonder the villagers doubt her.

Despite her repeated reassurances that she would definitely succeed in making the Hemostatic Agent, the villagers did not believe her words. Only the village chief's grandfather sat silently on the ox cart, not saying a word.

Ti flew by and by sunset, the villagers still hadn't sold a single Blood Stopping Flower, and everyone looked very grim.

For Banana Leaf Village, the Blood Stopping Flower is the most significant source of inco, and not being able to sell them ans the village's economic source is cut off.

Looking at the carts full of Blood Stopping Flowers, none of the villagers were willing to return to the village.

This represents their effort over the past several months, and no one wanted to see it go to waste, as there were children and elderly waiting for them at ho.

Everyone felt heavy-hearted, the village chief sat at the back of the cart, silent, drawing on his water pipe.

"Village Chief, why don't we just sell the Blood Stopping Flowers at a low price, five copper coins each, at least we could still preserve our capital, hos are almost running out of rice," one visibly distressed villager complained.

Yun Sheng, watching by the side, felt anxious too. She decided that even if other villagers wanted to undersell the Blood Stopping Flowers, she would preserve her own batch of first-grade Blood Stopping Flowers.

She still had so money from her job as a dicine Gathering Boy, enough to get by for so ti.

She must succeed in making the Hemostatic Agent.

Village Chief's hand-held water pipe's ash glowed intermittently, he suddenly took a strong puff, exhaling the last swirl of smoke, "Pull it back! Take it all back, go back and make the Hemostatic Agent. No one is allowed to undersell the Blood Stopping Flowers, rember, this is not about selling for money, it's about the face of the people of Banana Leaf Village. If Huoyan Village wants to bully us, we'll fight back. The people of Banana Leaf Village are not to be trifled with."

It had been a long while since the Village Chief had such an outburst. True to his past as a Magician in the army, even though he now spends his old age in a small village, today's humiliation had once again ignited the fiery spirit within him.

The Village Chief's words, like thunderous roars, exploded in every villager's ears and woke up those who had been ready to compromise.

Though they still did not believe Yun Sheng's words, they believed the Village Chief's.

If the Village Chief said Yun Sheng could do it, then she could.

With anger bottled up inside, the villagers drove their ox carts back to Banana Leaf Village.

That night, not a single villager in Banana Leaf Village slept soundly, no one knew what future laid ahead for a Banana Leaf Village that couldn't sell the Blood Stopping Flowers anymore.

Early the next morning, Yun Sheng arrived at the Magic Temple of Banana Leaf Village and recounted everything that had happened the day before to Great Mage Yang.

To make dicine, rely utilizing the rudintary dicine pounding tools Yun Sheng had on hand was clearly insufficient.

The Magic Temple had the greatest variety of dicinal herbs and the most suitable conditions and equipnt for making dicine in the entire village.

The village chief had already inford Great Mage Yang in advance, and when Yun Sheng ntioned making Hemostatic Agent, Great Mage Yang was not very interested. Being a Mage, even if he were to concoct, his focus would be on Magic dicine; to him, Ancient dicine was rely inferior dicine for treating minor headaches and fevers.

Great Mage Yang did not ddle in the affairs of the village. The Magic Temple never involved itself in political or regional matters.

On the condition that Yun Sheng guaranteed not to delay the affairs of the Magic Temple, Great Mage Yang agreed that Yun Sheng could use the pharmacy for two hours at night, but the dicinal herbs she used would have to be deducted from her monthly salary.

Yun Sheng had no objections. That evening, after finishing the household chores, she donned the dicine Gathering Boy's clothes and entered the pharmacy.

As night fell, the brightly lit Pine Oil Lamp illuminated the pharmacy.

Yun Sheng picked several fresh Blood Stopping Flowers.

Recalling the scent of the Hemostatic Agent she had slled in the Herb Store the day before, she opened the drawers in the pharmacy one by one.

"The main ingredient is the Blood Stopping Flower, along with red buckeye, Polygonum multiflorum, and magic stone. It seems there's still sothing missing," Yun Sheng quickly identified the different scents of the herbs required for the Hemostatic Agent based on her mory.

Having been born into the Shennong Family, Yun Sheng was practically raised in an environnt filled with dicinal herbs. Her sense of taste and sll were only slightly less perceptive than soone who had trained using Shennong's Eyes.

Hooking onto the scent of any dicinal herb she had slled before allowed her to clearly distinguish it even without knowing its na upon encountering it again.

However, after grinding the corresponding herbs, she noticed that sothing seed missing in the concoction.

But she couldn't rember exactly what it was.

The wick of the Pine Oil Lamp was fully saturated, and the two hours flew by rapidly.

Yun Sheng still couldn't find the last ingredient for her dicine.

As the ti agreed upon with Great Mage Yang had arrived, Yun Sheng had no choice but to extinguish the oil lamp and walked out of the Magic Temple.

As she exited the Magic Temple, a small shadow darted in front. Yun Sheng didn't even frown.

Little Black sprinted up to Yun Sheng in a flash.

Although it was now part of the Yun Family, Little Black seed sowhat scared of Yun Canghai. When Yun Sheng was not around, it spent most of its ti roaming outside, waiting to greet her at the Temple door when she was due to return.

A dog and a human, two hazy figures wandered through the fields of Banana Leaf Village.

With the crickets chirping nearby, Little Black joyfully ran alongside. Suddenly, a field mouse leapt from the ridge, and Little Black wasted no ti in pouncing on it.

This pounce splashed Yun Sheng's neck full of night dew from the ridge, bringing a burst of its refreshingly moist scent.

The cool dew sparked a sudden realization in Yun Sheng.

She finally knew what was missing in her Hemostatic Agent.
