Chapter 24: Chapter 23 Hemostatic Agent

After the wild boar incident, Yun Sheng's days as a dicine Gathering Boy continued in a calm and orderly fashion, with little progress made in accumulating Magic Elents.

Ye Beiming also mysteriously disappeared. According to Great Mage Yang, he had left to undergo a training journey.

This was sowhat surprising for Yun Sheng, who rembered that Ye Beiming hardly ever trained; he was always either seen sleeping on a tree or sneaking food. She hadn't expected him to embark on a training journey.

After consuming Demon Beast at for a period of ti, Little Black grew much stronger, although its size didn't change much. Aside from Yun Sheng and the Bobbie that it couldn't resist, it retained its cool and aloof deanor towards other villagers and even towards Yun Canghai.

Yun Sheng learned from Bobbie that Little Black was a Mutated Demon Beast. Despite not being very familiar with the types of Demon Beasts, she understood well that mutated ones were rare on the continent.

Lei Hu and his gang also unanimously agreed not to leak anything about what happened on the mountain. After staying in the village for a few days, Lei Hu returned to town, and before leaving, he did not forget to wave his fists, admonishing the village lads to always listen to Big Sister.

After sorting the dicinal Herbs in the Magic Temple, they started to treat patients gradually, but Ye Beiming had still not returned.

The villagers who ca to the Magic Temple only had minor ailnts like headaches, fever, or diarrhea, which could be resolved with a dose or two of dication.

Therefore, Yun Sheng never had the chance to see Great Mage Yang treat patients with the so-called Light Elent.

Months passed by in this fashion, and due to proper care, Yun Sheng's dicine field welcod a bountiful harvest.

Under the bright sun, the colorful and vibrant Blood Stopping Flowers in the Yun Family's dicine field yielded more crops than other dicinal farrs' fields by at least twenty percent. The village chief even comnted that the Yun Family's Blood Stopping Flowers might rank as First-class dicinal Herbs.

For the entire village, having First-class dicinal Herbs was a matter of honor; this filled Yun Sheng with joy.

It so happened that on one day, the village chief ca over saying he was going to town to sell Blood Stopping Flowers. Yun Sheng thought about it and saw an opportunity to buy Hemostatic Agent, so she asked the village chief if he could take her with him to town.

After pondering for a while, the village chief agreed to Yun Sheng's request. Yun Sheng then took leave from Great Mage Yang at the Magic Temple and set off for Taishang Town with the village chief and his group, which was the nearest town to Banana Leaf Village.

This was Yun Sheng's first ti leaving the village since she had grown up. The journey was filled with the rattle and bumping of carriages and horses.

After about half a day's travel, the carriage finally stopped at the entrance to a small town.

Calling it a town was a bit of an overstatent; it was actually just a small town about two or three tis larger than Banana Leaf Village.

Since the surrounding ten or so villages all lived by growing dicinal herbs, most of the shops in this small town were pharmacies.

Compared to the major cities Yun Sheng had seen in her previous life, the town's appearance was hardly worth ntioning.

Yun Sheng couldn't help but feel sowhat disappointed, but the village chief patted her head and said, "Yun Sheng, when we get to the town later, don't wander off. Stick with the village chief and go to the pharmacy together. Your father reminded you before he left, no running around."

Bored, Yun Sheng nodded her head and followed the village chief and several village dicinal farrs to a pharmacy.

It was an ordinary pharmacy with a modest storefront, but it had a fairly complete selection of dicinal herbs.

The Blood Stopping Flowers from Banana Leaf Village were all sold in this area.

The village chief instructed so of the dicinal farrs to bring the Blood Stopping Flowers inside and started to haggle comfortably with the pharmacy owner.

anwhile, Yun Sheng stood by, observing the various dicines in the pharmacy.

"Hemostatic Agent," Yun Sheng found the hemostatic agent she had longed for at a counter in the pharmacy, priced at fifteen copper coins.

Yun Sheng had brought five silver coins that she had won from Ding Lei this ti she went out, which were enough to buy a bottle of the hemostatic agent.

Just as she was about to speak and ask, the village chief rushed up in a huff, grabbed Yun Sheng, and wanted to take her outside.

Yun Sheng had never seen the village chief so angry; his long beard was fluttering, clearly infuriated: "This is clearly price gouging. All these Blood Stopping Flowers are top-notch, yet you claim they are the lowest grade and only willing to offer five copper coins. I refuse to believe that without your pharmacy, the Blood Stopping Flowers from Banana Leaf Village can't be sold."

Upon inquiring, Yun Sheng found out that the village chief had proudly carried in the Blood Stopping Flowers earlier, only for the pharmacy owner to dismissively slash the price, cutting it by half without a second thought.

Five copper coins for a hundred Blood Stopping Flowers; even the dicinal farrs' fertilizer and labor costs couldn't be covered.

The village chief had co on behalf of all the villagers. In this case, the villagers wouldn't be able to afford food.

No wonder the village chief was so furious.

Yun Sheng felt that sothing was off. Turning around, she saw the pharmacy owner with a sinister smile, not at all intimidated by the village chief's threats.

Sothing was amiss here.

Yun Sheng puzzled over it secretly.

Sure enough, the village chief visited a few more pharmacies, without exception, either they refused to buy the dicinal herbs from Banana Leaf Village, or they pushed down the prices unfairly.

Several hours passed, and the villagers still hadn't sold a single Blood Stopping Flower.

"Village chief, there's no need to try any further," Yun Sheng held the village chief's sleeve, "They've all colluded with each other."

"Yun Sheng, do you think the village chief doesn't know that they've all ganged up together? There's no need to say it, I know what's going on. It must be the people from Huoyan Village who are behind this," the village chief sighed.

Having been the village chief for so many years, if he couldn't even see through their sches, it would have been a life lived in vain.

"But village chief, if we can't sell the Blood Stopping Flowers, how do we explain to the villagers? With the recent heat and excessive humidity, if we don't process the Blood Stopping Flowers quickly, and buy new fertilizer, not to ntion being unable to feed everyone at ho, we won't be able to plant the new batch of saplings in ti," the villagers all had mournful faces, as Banana Leaf Village was ho to so of the most honest villagers who had never sched against others. Such a situation was a first for them.

"Alas, if only we had the dicine Emperor Pavilion here. If there was a dicine Emperor Pavilion in the town, I wouldn't believe these rascals could make trouble," the village chief spat heavily on the ground.

The dicine Emperor Pavilion is the largest dicinal Herb Store on the continent, said to contain all sorts of wonders, with nurous pharmacists who are fair and just, never arbitrarily slashing the prices of the herbs they purchase.

It's just a pity the dicine Emperor Pavilion is only set up in cities and above, and from Taishang Town to the nearest city, it would take at least three days and nights.

"Village chief, calm down for a mont, we can't sell Blood Stopping Flowers, but we can sell the Hemostatic Agent!" Yun Sheng pondered for a mont, then suddenly spoke up.

"Hemostatic Agent?! Yun Sheng, what are you talking about? Making the Hemostatic Agent is not sothing we can do," the village chief was taken aback.

He thought Yun Sheng was joking.

"I can do it. I've just slled the Hemostatic Agent, and I can assure you, with two Blood Stopping Flowers, I can make a dose of the Hemostatic Agent," Yun Sheng said with confidence, lifting her head.
