Chased by the client to my ho to talk business, and it’s across the city too.

Stella Grant has been in the industry for many years, but this is a first.

Forrest Keller spoke, feeling guilty and anxious at the sa ti.

If it weren’t for years of maneuvering among bigwigs, he would most likely have shown fear by now.

Under his gaze, Stella Grant slightly furrowed her brows, "Now?"

Forrest Keller’s smile was official, "Yes, now."

Stella Grant asked again, "Is President Sutton downstairs?"

Forrest Keller’s smile persisted, "Yes, the matter is quite urgent."

Stella Grant pursed her lips; Forrest Keller couldn’t tell if she believed him.

After about three to five seconds, Stella Grant spoke, "Alright, Assistant Keller, please wait a mont, I’ll inform my family."

Saying that, Stella Grant gave Forrest Keller an apologetic smile and turned back to her room.

Since moving here, Mrs. Grant had hardly been in touch with anyone, so seeing Stella return, she curiously asked, "Who?"

Stella Grant spoke frankly, "A partner company, there’s a problem with the cooperative project, I need to go out now."

After speaking, Stella Grant turned to Ray Woods, "Please keep my mom company, I’ll be back soon."

People used to the business scene, Ray Woods expressed understanding, perhaps wanting to display a better image in front of Mrs. Grant, he even got up to see Stella off.

Stella Grant took the opportunity to whisper to him, "Sorry, you’ll have to stay with my mom alone for a bit."

Ray Woods whispered back, "I understand, the working life isn’t always within our control, don’t worry, I won’t ss up in front of her."

As they spoke, they reached the door, Ray Woods intended to politely greet Stella Grant’s business partner, but upon seeing Forrest Keller, he slightly paused, "Assistant Keller."

Seeing Ray Woods here, Forrest Keller was equally surprised, "Woods."

Ray Woods asked, "The cooperative project has issues?"

Ray Woods and Forrest Keller had so private rapport; when Ray first joined Sutton Group, they had interned in the sa departnt for a few days.

Although not a revolutionary friendship, their relationship was a bit better than the average coworker.

Hearing Ray Woods ask that, Forrest Keller smiled apathetically and responded, "Yes, there’s a minor issue."

Sutton Group primarily engages in various investnts, with extensive involvent in many projects that include business secrets.

So Ray Woods only asked simply, with no intention to delve deeper.

After all, it’s better to have fewer concerns than more.

Unexpected troubles often arise from talking too much.

The two exchanged a few pleasantries, and Stella Grant followed Forrest Keller downstairs.

As they were about to reach the first floor, Forrest Keller, considering his identity and responsibilities, hesitated slightly before asking, "Is Manager Grant dating Woods?"

Faced with Forrest Keller’s question, Stella Grant felt a swirl of thoughts and ambiguously replied, "Mmm."

Stella Grant’s hesitation appeared as bashfulness in Forrest Keller’s eyes.

To ease the atmosphere, Forrest Keller smiled and said, "Woods is quite nice; we interacted before. Not only knowledgeable and bold, but also humorous and entertaining."

Stella Grant recalled the brief encounter on the way with Ray Woods, rembering his words ’You see through the surface to the essence, realizing I’m gay,’ her eyes and brows showed amusent, "Indeed."

Forrest Keller, being a cunning person, noticed Stella Grant’s genuine smile and felt a sense of sympathy for their boss.

It’s over.

Their boss stands no chance.

As they reached the car, Forrest Keller didn’t get in but opened the car door for Stella Grant, stepping aside.

Stella Grant glanced inside the car, seeing Silas Sutton’s rigid, cold profile, and bent to get in.

Today, Silas Sutton wasn’t dressed in a formal suit but in casual attire.

The whole person seed less like an elite holding onto a facade, appearing more approachable.

Sitting in the car, Stella Grant turned her head and spoke, "President Sutton, is there an issue with the project?"

Silas Sutton slightly turned his head, lightly tapping his long and attractive fingers on the armrest, "Yes."

Stella Grant, "What issue?"

Silas Sutton raised his hand to pinch his nose bridge, "The scab behind is itchy and cannot be scratched. It starts bleeding when scratched."

Stella Grant was dumbfounded upon hearing this.

Silas Sutton seed to ask nonchalantly, "What do you say about knowing sothing shouldn’t be touched, yet feeling uncontrollably drawn to touch it?"
