Chapter 67: "You better have a good explanation for this, or else..."
.
It didn’t take long before a huge crowd gathered at the pavilion the next day.
But this ti, sothing was different, and the newly hired workers who had just arrived took a step back in fear when they saw the impatient expressions of the many custors cramd at the counters,
waiting for them.
"What the hell’s wrong with these people?" asked a young and cute looking female employee, glancing at the crowd with a mix of fear and confusion.
"No idea, but we’d better not keep them waiting.
I’ve got a bad feeling this could get out of hand if we let it drag on," replied her colleague, also a
new hire,
who also clearly had no clue how to handle a situation like this.
Even Old Liu had arrived.
Seeing the commotion, he couldn’t help but grow curious and walked up to open his counter first.
Seeing him, the others followed suit.
Soon enough, everyone reluctantly got to work, and murmurs began to rise first custors started speaking, clearly in a hurry.
"Hurry! Give the list of available talismans," shouted the first custor like his life depended on it.
Old Liu: "..."
’What the hell’s gotten into everyone today? Why are they in such a rush?’ he thought, baffled by the scene before him.
In all his years, this was the first ti he’d seen anything like this happen.
Still, despite his surprise, he didn’t waste ti and grabbed the list of available talismans.
The custor didn’t say a word and basically snatched the paper out of his hands, examining it furiously.
Old Liu had no idea what had triggered such a reaction in the custors, but he didn’t have to wait long to find out.
"Damn it! They’re not even here!
Old man, tell , where the hell did the rest of the grade one spirit rank talismans go, huh?" said the custor, basically shouting in his faces
Old Liu: "..."
He was one step away from grabbing the guy by the throat and tossing him out of the pavilion,
but he managed to hold back, choosing instead to try and clarify things.
Correct content is on .
"Dear custor, what you see here is all we have in stock. If sothing’s missing, it’s most likely sold out," he said, trying to keep it professional.
Unfortunately for him, none of the custors seed to care.
In fact, those standing behind the man, having overheard what he said, started to panic.
"Bullshit! I saw more than fifty of them for sale just yesterday, and now you’re telling they’re all gone?
No way. You must be hiding so extras in the back,
co on, bring them out!" said the man, joined by a few others.
A vein popped out on Old Liu’s forehead, and soon, he snapped.
" You bunch of beasts! If you don’t calm down, I’ll string you up naked on the roof of the pavilion myself!" he roared, unleashing an intense aura.
Silence fell over the entire area, and even the other custors at the other counters froze, not daring to move.
Seeing this, the other overwheld employees let out a collective sigh of relief and silently thanked their senior.
"Now, who’s going to tell what the hell’s going on? I swear, if you don’t have a good explanation, none of you are leaving here in one piece today," he said,
his gaze like lightning as it scanned the crowd before locking onto the man who’d shouted at him earlier.
That man, feeling as though he were being stared down by a savage beast, shivered and muttered under his breath,
"I-i just wanted to buy a few talismans..."
Soon enough, the situation beca clear to Old Liu.
When he heard that everyone had co for the discounted talismans sold the day before, he was left speechless for a mont.
He simply couldn’t understand how so talismans made by a newcor had stirred up such a frenzy.
That said, he could only shake his head and explain to the others that the batch had probably sold out due to the low price,
pointing out how many people had clearly co to buy them.
Things finally began to calm down, and soon, soone mustered up the courage to ask when the next batch would be available.
"I don’t know. That depends on the engraver. But get this through your heads, talismans don’t grow on trees.
It’ll take ti for another batch to arrive," he said clearly, knowing full well that sothing like this would normally take several days to restock.
He had no idea how wrong he was. But he’d find out soon enough.

anwhile, inside one of the cultivation rooms in the Masters’ Pavilion,
a figure was ditating.
She had long black hair tied in a ponytail, and her eyes were shut. From the sides of her head, a pair of long, pointed ears peeked out.
She was none other than Ye Ning, who now sat cross legged at the center of the room, surrounded by an aura of greenish violet that subtly moved her hair.
Her brows were furrowed as she channeled spiritual Qi through her ridians and into various parts of her body.
Behind her sat Zhu Rong, his eyes also closed, one hand resting against her back, at the level of her heart.
"Stay calm.
Circulate the Qi slowly through the main ridians, and direct it toward your dantian," he said, examining the flow of Qi within her body and guiding her step by step.
She nodded and continued following his instructions.
Soon, the aura surrounding her began to intensify, and its green hue deepened.
A strange pressure began to radiate from her, and odd symbols started to appear on her forehead.
’It’s ti.’
Zhu Rong, as if he’d been waiting for this very mont, released a bit of his spiritual power and, without hesitation, inserted a thread of his consciousness into her.
The world around him imdiately lost all color, giving way to nothing but an endless black void.
Zhu Rong slowly opened his eyes, now standing, not in the cultivation room, but sowhere else entirely.
Still, he didn’t seem alard.
He calmly turned his head to the side, his gaze landing on a figure.
A smile appeared on his face as he opened his mouth to speak:
"Welco back, Lín Xiān."
