Brian actually got this obsession and had been dealing with this matter since then.

He had enlisted many information agencies to track down the person who escaped.

But even by the ti Hardenn’s newly setup online gaming company launched and went live, there were no results; later an update ca through, which only revealed the escapee had gone to Brazil and then the trail went cold... because the personnel sent to investigate also disappeared.

It seed as if there existed an invisible gaping maw in Brazil, constantly devouring anyone who entered the country.

Out of options, Brian ultimately entrusted the task to the information agency given to him by Dean, and declared the investigation’s dangers.

The agency proved quite efficient; before long, they had sent him so promising news.

They agreed to et at an outdoor café not far from the B6 team.

...

After quickly handling so official business for Susan,

Brian checked the ti, greeted Hardenn, and went downstairs with Shi San, preparing to walk to the arranged café.

He was wearing that liquid tal suit today.

Coupled with it was a rather attractive-looking watch.

This was his Third Level employee watch.

Its functions were unchanged from before, but it had an added feature of holographic projection technology, and it also included sothing akin to an electronic stamp.

If needed,

Brian could urgently mobilize any police officer from a Los Angeles police station, security offices, SWAT, and other such violent forces to work for him. This even included military bases stationed nearby... a testant to its formidable influence.

Because it involved too many organizations, it was akin to a military-police joint body.

Only an organization like NW could have such authority.

In fact, within NW organization, only a select few had such rights.

Brian now had them too.

On this front, the three founders of NW were genuinely earnest, almost treating Brian as a revered ancestor, fearing his young age could lead to rash actions.

With enough authority,

even if Brian stirred up trouble, he wouldn’t likely resort to using Pollution, escalating the situation beyond control.

It could be said that until they had sufficient confidence to handle both Brian and Dean, Brian could virtually do as he pleased within Los Angeles.

Regarding these newfound powers, Brian felt good yet didn’t take them too seriously.

He trusted more in his own strength.

...

Humming a tune,

a man and his dog waited at the crosswalk.

Shi San burped drunkenly, looking at the clouds above enviously and remarked to Brian when no one else was around: "Big dog, why can’t we grow wings?"

atball was circling above their heads.

Shi San envied that.

It too wished to be a dog that could fly.

Brian shrugged: "Nothing to envy there, Shi San, atball’s bird droppings can’t even replenish energy or ease fatigue. Haven’t you and Green made good money from your business venture? I heard you’re even planning to start a company with Green and sell goods through Umbrella Company’s channels?"

Hearing this, Shi San wagged its tail, a little shyly: "Green said to , ’Dogs have one litter per lifeti, and when those puppies have puppies, it’s another lifeti.’ I have a big responsibility to provide for my family in the future. I need to earn more money..."

Well played.

This little Labrador Retriever was beginning to think about starting a family already.

But it was about ti.

A male dog’s sexual maturity generally cos between six to twelve months.

Although Shi San was sowhat unique, it couldn’t escape this law.

It was always sniffing around female dogs, but it hadn’t taken a particular interest in any.

Ordinary dogs held no allure for it.

The size difference was too great.

The difference in physicality was too great.

Many female dogs, however, were quite interested in Shi San.

Nowadays, Shi San sitting was almost half the height of a person, and standing up, it was a little taller than an average woman. Its street turn-back rate was one hundred percent. At first glance, it was a premium breeding dog, the Brian among dogs.

The man and his dog continued their stroll and chat.

As they reached busier streets, Shi San pretended to be dead and no longer spoke, with just an occasional bark, not hindering its communication with Brian.

Passersby occasionally gasped upon seeing Shi San walking by.

It was only because Shi San was a Labrador Retriever, with an honest-looking face and common pet dog appearance, and because it wore a police dog vest and obediently followed Brian that it didn’t cause any panic.

...

After about ten minutes’ walk,

the man and dog finally arrived at the designated café.

Brian scanned the area, then walked towards table number six on the outside.

At table six sat a middle-aged Caucasian man.

He wore a pair of black thick-frad glasses, was slightly balding, and had an ordinary appearance; holding a newspaper, he seed like a very average, docile middle-aged office worker, the harmless kind.

Brian approached and uttered the code phrase in a low voice: "Is the Statue of Liberty looking good?"

Upon hearing sothing, the man sluggishly lifted his head.

He, sowhat reluctantly, set down the newspaper, extending his hand towards Brian: "Quite good-looking, hello Brian, the youngest Third Level employee of NW, it’s an honor that you employed Book Society, although it cost us quite a few hands. Oh, and you can call Old Du."

"Old Du?"

Brian motioned Shi San to sit aside and took a seat across from the man: "Sounds like a Hua Country surna?"

Old Du nodded: "That’s right, I’m an orphan, raised by an old man from Hua Country since childhood. I grew to like Hua Country’s culture and knowledge. I’ve grasped quite a bit of it, enabling to thrive in this wild land."
