321: Chapter 209: Various Weapons in Prison, Case Closed Instantly 321: Chapter 209: Various Weapons in Prison, Case Closed Instantly Many cities in the large tropolitan area of Los Angeles actually look quite shabby.

Tuo ng City is just such a place.

To put it bluntly, Brian felt that this place was not as bustling as the small 18th-tier county town he had lived in during his previous life, the only rit being its wide open spaces and less crowded streets.

Tuo ng City has a total of four prisons.

Three of them are high-security prisons, where the chances of inmates getting out are very low, leaving one that is more oriented towards youth cri detention.

This place also collaborates with a training camp, similar to the “Thunder King” reformative training camp from Brian’s previous life, mainly responsible for hosting troubled teenagers sent by their parents for militarized managent and reform.

This is one of the few lessons parents here can administer to their children.

As for physical punishnts…

If a child calls the police, their parents will need to serve ti in jail.

This is no joke; it’s a reality that occurs every year.

There have even been immigrant parents shot by police for this reason.

It’s quite absurd.

Back to the main subject.

Following the address,

Brian and his team drove to their destination—Jem Prison.

“I guess the owner of this prison is nad Jem,” Brian said to Susan.

Susan, indifferent to his remark, stepped out of the car with Shi San first.

Having called ahead, soone was waiting for them at the entrance.

The receptionist was a bespectacled young Caucasian man.

This guy looked feeble, and it was a mystery why he would work in a place like a prison.

After all, in the United States, prison riots aren’t rare, and the mortality rate for prison guards is comparable to street patrol officers.

Inside, various gangs create chaos, smuggling businesses abound, and even prostitution thrives—it’s anything but a secure place.

The young man with glasses didn’t talk much.

After confirming their identities, he led them towards the cri scene, occasionally glancing at Shi San who was wearing a police uniform.

He didn’t reveal much in response to Brian’s probing.

This prison typically comprised several areas: the exercise yard, holding cells, cafeteria, workrooms (factories), staff dormitories, fences, surveillance areas, dical and logistics facilities, among others, and, if large enough, a few additional areas.

Its hallmark was closed managent.

Under the watchful eyes of ard prison guards, the group passed through three checkpoints to reach the detainnt building.

The structure there resembled so electronics factory compounds with a honeycomb layout, requiring card access to pass through each gate, each one guarded by prison officers.

Passing through these areas,

Brian and his team finally arrived at a place resembling a pigpen.

Pardon his description, but it was true.

The spacious room had aisles down the middle connecting to small individual cells separated by iron bars.

Each cell contained a bunk bed, a small toilet, and about two square ters of open space, so with wooden shelves bearing magazines and books, others adorned with frad photos, creating a semblance of a lived-in space.

Dividing walls made of concrete separated the rooms, but you could see all the way across to the opposite cells.

It was probably alti since the cells were empty, except for one that was open.

As Brian and his team arrived, a guard, dozing against the railing, stood by this cell.

On hearing noise, he sleepily opened his eyes, looking confusedly at the three people and a dog suddenly in front of him: “Ler, what’s wrong?”

The young man with glasses nonchalantly pointed to Brian and his companions, “This is the team sent from the city to investigate the murder of Sirad Bosworth.

You take over now.”

With that, he didn’t give the guard a chance to respond and quickly walked away.

Watching him leave, Susan comnted, “Why do I get the feeling he’s sowhat resistant to getting involved in this case?”

“Darling, if you give your contact, I might consider telling you…” said the remaining guard, finally noticing Susan’s attractiveness and speaking flirtatiously.

Before he could finish,

he felt as though he’d been hit by a motorcycle, his mouth spewing blood and broken teeth as he slamd into the iron bars and passed out without a word.

Susan retracted her long, shapely leg, looking disdainfully at the slight dirt it had gathered: “People here really have dirty mouths.”

“Dentists will help clean up his filthy mouth; hopefully, he has insurance for that,” shrugged Brian.

He wasn’t a minotaur, and Susan had struck first; otherwise, he would have been even more ruthless.

..

With no guard left to guide them, it was like the start of a ga without an NPC to give directions.

But the main quest was clear, so it didn’t affect Brian’s investigation of the cri scene.

Through the bars, he already saw a body kneeling in front of the flush toilet, its head stuffed inside.

This was probably the only semi-private spot in the cell.

The toilet area was covered with a cloth, but the cloth hung about twenty centiters above the ground—ensuring that while prisoners used the toilet, guards could still monitor them.

Now, the cloth was pulled back, revealing the deceased.

From appearances, the dead man was very muscular, with dark red, congealed blood beneath him, and his posture was relaxed, leaning against the toilet; it seed he had died cleanly without any post-mortem interference.
