242: Chapter 176: There Must Be Sothing Despicable About A Pitiful Person 242: Chapter 176: There Must Be Sothing Despicable About A Pitiful Person “Holess man?”
Tom said with so uncertainty, “A holess man who used to work as a labor interdiary for transnational students from Hua Country?”
First of all, many holess people, will hide in places like parks to rest at night, avoiding the staff on patrol duty.
Secondly, because holess people often rummage through trash cans, they are quite familiar with the garbage truck pick-up tis and behaviors.
Then there’s the identity of the holess.
Many holess people don’t even have a complete set of ID docunts, and hardly anyone pays attention to this group.
As for the latter addition, it was because Tom, in his earlier years as a detective, had seen those Chinese labor interdiaries who specialized in scamming their compatriots, and he had seen the unfortunate ones who were stabbed or shot by those they had scamd, so he knew sothing about this group.
Brian nodded:
“Yes, this group exists, and there’s another group, those illegal immigrants who have had so tragic experiences and harbor animosity toward their compatriots.
Tom, you should know, the CIA actually has special funds in the Asia region to bribe so public figures of those countries, glorify the United States, and attract the outstanding newcors from those countries, continuously coming over here.
But this also results in many of the lower class from those countries trying every ans to co over here each year.
These people have low self-awareness, have had unsatisfactory lives in their own countries, and think that changing environnts will allow them to succeed, but they forget that the lower class is the lower class no matter where they are.
What would they do if they then encountered so unfortunate events, couldn’t even keep going as undocunted workers, and then received so kind of stimuli?”
“Take revenge on society?”
Tom said and then shook his head, unsure, “Take revenge on their compatriots?”
Brian nodded:
“Yes, because such people often have a high opinion of themselves and lack a clear self-awareness.
When they encounter setbacks and their perception is turned upside down, they tend to beco extre and do sothing rash.
Moreover, they most likely have language issues as well, so their easiest targets are their compatriots.
After all, they can’t deceive foreigners.”
Tom nodded, “Brian, to be honest, your growth is really frightening.
Are those Enhancent Reagents really that magical?”
His eyes revealed a longing.
He had long been fed up with his weak physical condition.
Brian shook his head: “The Enhancent Reagent isn’t that amazing; I’m just aweso.”
Tom: ..
…
Following this line of thought.
Brian, along with Green and so of Green’s friends, rushed to the vicinity of the cri scene.
Using cash, food, and blankets as incentives, they questioned the holess people they encountered, looking for clues.
His speculation was very accurate.
When Green’s friend questioned an elderly holess man, he provided a piece of information:
A few days ago, a Chinese holess man, taking advantage of his old age and frailty, killed his only dog, took away the body, and left with his only blanket.
The key was that the holess man was carrying a large backpack with a laptop of considerable market value on it!
Before long.
Green learned another clue from another middle-aged holess man:
Over a year ago, a Chinese holess man had moved into the underground drainage pipes of the park.
There were snakes and many rats living there, so regular holess people dared not approach.
However, for the past few days.
He hadn’t seen that holess man’s figure.
The man would often disappear for a while and then reappear, not interacting much with these holess people.
Green exclaid excitedly, “Boss Brian, looks like we’ve found the murderer!
He’s definitely going to deal with the victim’s computer and phone, we’re close to catching him!”
Brian shook his head, “No need to go through so much trouble.”
With that, he whistled.
The next mont, a round little Labrador pup leaped out from a bush, landing in front of Brian, sticking out its tongue and wagging its tail playfully.
“Shi San, let’s go, we need your help.”
“Woof~ (Okay~)”
Shi San beca even more cheerful.
It enjoyed helping out the big dogs.
…
In fact, many of the drainage and sewage pipes in downtown Los Angeles are not all that dirty.
They are quite spacious inside.
So areas, due to the small population living nearby, are dry, and even so places have platforms for workers to climb and walk on for regular inspections.
Actually, quite a few people live down there, but they are unseen and uncared for by outsiders.
They are like a group of mice living outside of humanity, surviving in misery, waiting for death to co amidst various diseases and malnutrition.
Following the information provided by the middle-aged holess man.
The group found a manhole cover hidden behind so trees.
There were so muddy footprints around the manhole cover.
Suddenly.
Shi San barked twice and went to a bush, rolling up a shoe with its tongue and appearing in front of everyone.
It spat out the shoe, turned to Brian and barked, “Woof-woof~ (The scent of a corpse~)”
Brian glanced at the shoe size and nodded, “Shi San, go!”
They removed the manhole cover, and everyone went down the ladder in turn.
Below was a large circular concrete pipe; the recessed bottom section had so relatively clean water and wasn’t emitting any unpleasant scent, just a cold breeze.
On one side was a concrete-built terrace and road.
But overall, the environnt was pitch-dark with little light shining down.
