The Great Journey had returned.
The crimson heavy truck, capable of traversing ti and space at breakneck speeds, had completed all convergence loops. Now, it carried Xu Xi and several young won once more, sailing through the Sea of Possibilities to witness the fall of stars and the birth of fantasies.
Within those possibilities—
There existed worlds of pure imagination.
There were also new realities, branching from the familiar into the unknown.
A world where Xu Xi lived as an office worker, toiling away until the end of his days.
A world where Li Wanshou remained in the Heavenly Sword Sect, reaching the limits of his lifespan and passing peacefully in the realm of cultivation.
Or even more distant, more inconceivable possibilities.
The Sea of Possibilities was not Xu Xi’s domain alone.
For Xu Moli, Krisha, Wu Yingxue, Ailei, Servia—for all thinking beings—it reflected their futures as well.
"A world without my elder brother is not a world I want."
A slender, pale arm reached into the tides of ti, scooping up droplets of shimring light.
When reflected in Xu Moli’s eyes—
She saw.
Versions of herself who had never been saved by Xu Xi—left to die in the wilderness or taken in by other kind souls.
None of these possibilities pleased the present Xu Moli.
"ntor, are we going back now?"
Twenty-four days had passed since they left Earth.
Inside the truck, the seats were pristine, the railings spotless, the floor smooth and dustless.
Krisha sat beside Xu Xi, pouring hot water to brew a cup of Dragon’s Blood Spirit Tea as she sought his opinion.
"Let’s wait until we’ve reached thirty days before returning," Xu Xi decided, preferring to see things through properly.
Honeymoons had no strict ti limits.
So chose to return ho after half a month, while others lingered for two months, three, or even longer.
Xu Xi aid for the middle ground—neither too short nor too long, capping it at a single month.
"Then I’d like to see more versions of the Sorcerer from other worlds."
Servia’s face glowed with quiet delight.
She adored observing the different lives Xu Xi led across realities.
"Even though I know those versions aren’t the Sorcerer I’m familiar with…"
"Just seeing a face so similar to his is endlessly fascinating."
Her erald eyes, deep and luminous like sun-dappled water beneath sumr leaves, shimred as she gazed at Xu Xi.
That soft radiance—it was the glow of sothing called love.
"I’m curious too."
"Agreed. The master’s lives are worth observing."
"Unanimous! Let’s go—our mission is to observe other versions of Sir!"
Xu Xi watched as the girls cheered, their smiles bright against the window’s passing glimpses of bygone eras. His expression softened further.
"Did you forget? I’ve already converged all those possibilities."
"Eh?!"
"But it’s fine. I can project them for you to see."
"Hooray!!"
……
……
A single person’s possibilities were infinite.
Even within the sa world, countless futures branched out.
Xu Xi as a police officer.
Xu Xi as a salaryman.
Xu Xi as an entrepreneur.
Xu Xi as a kindergarten teacher.
Gentle stories glimred like stars against the dark surge of ti, pages turning to reveal destinies unique to Xu Xi.
The girls watched intently, though so were less well-behaved than others.
As they observed—
Small hands secretly tightened around Xu Xi’s fingers.
He didn’t call them out, rely lifting his gaze to sweep over the group as they discussed his alternate lives.
"Elder brother is kind no matter where he is. No matter the profession, he’s always a good man."
"That’s the ntor for you."
"So it turns out Sir really likes children…"
"Speaking of which, I have a suggestion—next ti we make tonic soup, let’s add…"
"This is so interesting. I feel like I understand the Sorcerer even more now."
Silently, Xu Xi watched the stories unfold.
They twisted into ribbons of light, their crystalline surfaces reflecting every face present.
Contentnt?
Warmth?
No single word could quite capture what he felt. Only that—this mont was good.
Ti flowed gently in this atmosphere.
The truck reached its final stop.
No longer racing at blinding speeds, it moved through the Sea of Possibilities like an elder in twilight, gliding soundlessly toward the thinning exits.
"Ah."
Krisha suddenly gasped.
She pointed at the nearest temporal bubble—a possibility belonging to Rex Santos.
The witch had rembered the red dragon’s na and now spotted his future.
Within that shimring mirage, the dragon stood in an unimaginably distant era, his form aged, his divine soul riddled with cracks.
"A million years? Ten million?"
Xu Xi pondered the tiline of this vision.
He decided to step inside.
After all, he and the red dragon were old friends, their bond a shining example of human-dragon camaraderie.
……
……
Gods were nearly eternal.
Their bodies unchained by mortality, their divinity intertwined with the world itself—so long as the world endured, they would not easily perish.
But there was one exception.
The weight of endless years, the accumulation of mories—these would rise like relentless tides, eroding the minds of weaker deities.
And when the tides receded, only hollow shells remained.
Now—
Within this temporal mirage, Rex Santos, who had held the mantle of Dragon God for eons, faced this very fate.
"My life… ends here."
"No matter the ambition, no matter the fervor—ti wears all to dust."
"But…"
"To have lived a hundred million years… I can’t complain."
The red dragon murmured to himself. His colossal form, once radiant with divine light, now exuded an aura of decay. Around him, descendants wept.
The hour had co.
It was ti to let go.
With great effort, Rex Santos raised his head and pointed at a male Ancient Dragon in the corner.
"Ziegfried. From this mont, you are the new Dragon King."
"Rember—your duty is to overthrow the Supre God and restore our race to glory!"
Ziegfried paled. "M-?!"
The red dragon nodded solemnly. "Naturally."
Through amicable (coercive) discussion, the dragon throne changed hands. With his final wish fulfilled, Rex Santos closed his eyes, awaiting death.
Then—
Unexpected figures appeared.
The dragon should have trembled in fear. But facing the end, he remained eerily calm.
"Dragon Speaker. Long ti no see."
"Indeed. Long ti no see." Xu Xi nodded, studying the future version of his old friend.
"You don’t look well."
"Heh. A dying body rarely does."
The dragon chuckled dryly, his draconic visage twisting into sothing complicated as he regarded Xu Xi. "Before I go… might I say a few words?"
"Of course," Xu Xi replied. "I have things to say as well, but you first."
The red dragon drew a deep breath.
His chest swelled.
Gathering the last of his courage and strength, he fixed Xu Xi with a glare worthy of a Dragon God—and roared:
"To hell with the Dragon Speaker! I'll never see you again!"
"Damn it!!!"
With those words, the Red Dragon felt refreshed, its aura edging closer to nothingness, while Xu Xi stood frozen in shock.
"By the way, what were you trying to say earlier?" The Red Dragon glared down at Xu Xi with disdain, relishing the stunned gazes of the younger dragons around it. This was the final glorious mont of its life!
"Actually, it was nothing much."
Xu Xi shook his head. "I just wanted to tell you—if you don’t want to die, I can undo the erosion of ti and restore you to your original state."
Thud—
The earth trembled.
The Red Dragon dropped to its knees at lightning speed.
"Dragon Speaker, my lord! It’s , your little Red!!!"
"You and your temperant."
Xu Xi chuckled, waving his hand to erase all of the Red Dragon’s afflictions.
After that, he said nothing more, simply leaving with the girls and vanishing from that ti and space, bringing their honeymoon to an end.
The air hung heavy with silence.
The Red Dragon waited a full hour, only standing back up once it was certain nothing else would happen.
Then, with a swift motion, it snatched the golden crown from the new Dragon King.
"What are you all staring at? I am the Dragon King!"
Under the dumbfounded gazes of its descendants, the Red Dragon rose to its forr glory once more.
