748: Chapter 748: Fragnt 001 (Super Long Chapter, Requesting Monthly Tickets) 748: Chapter 748: Fragnt 001 (Super Long Chapter, Requesting Monthly Tickets) Newland City-State
Chen Lin stood outside a settlent, slicing up a few stray monsters that had appeared before him.
“Mr.
Hao Yi” seed to have completely killed the mind-controlling Black Shadow, and after that encounter, the seductive voices in everyone’s ears had disappeared.
Consequently, those originally beguiled ‘followers’ lost their ability to control the monsters.
Most of them, before they could panic from losing their ‘master’, were torn apart by the now uncontrollable monsters surrounding them.
The monster hordes that had banded together to attack the settlents also lost control, unable to assemble.
This allowed the various settlents to finally ‘survive’ the relentless monster ‘waves’.
However, this did not an the monsters had disappeared completely.
Monsters wandering the streets beca more nurous and stronger over ti.
Even without organization, these wandering monsters exerted significant pressure on all the major temporary settlents.
“Boss,”
the young man standing next to Chen Lin looked around at the monster corpses and the dense swarm of monsters freely roaming amongst them, swallowing hard, “Can we really kill all these monsters?”
Hearing this, Chen Lin fell silent for a mont before finally speaking softly, “We’ll do what we can.”
Understanding the answer, the young man lifted his gaze to the sky, looking at the unchanging stars and the faint traces of dawn on the horizon.
The sun might never rise again.
Just then, his pupils suddenly contracted, and he exclaid sowhat breathlessly, “Boss, look at the sky!”
Chen Lin raised his head to look at the sky.
A massive planet phantom that reflected a faint glow was suspended over the city, filling much of the sky.
It was like a terrifying giant, overlooking the world.
In a nearby settlent, more and more people were drawn to look up at the oppressive planet overhead.
A silent suffocation and fearful sobbing echoed under the pitch-black night.
Chen Lin also watched the enormous planet, but his gaze wasn’t entirely captured by it; he could vaguely sense that although the planet was dangerous, it was still far from them.
His intuition told him that there seed to be sothing even more terrifying in the city.
And just as this thought surfaced, directly below the massive planet, on the edge of the city, a huge Phantom Shadow composed of countless twisted space fragnts and mist appeared right above the city.
Eyes that twinkled erged within those fragnted spaces, seemingly sweeping over the entire city.
“What is that?”
At that mont, the young man next to Chen Lin also spotted the Phantom Shadow and instinctively turned his head away.
“Don’t look!”
Chen Lin suddenly pressed down on his head, also lowering his own.
Almost the mont they lowered their heads, among the myriad of eyes hidden in the space fragnts of the massive Phantom Shadow, one swept in the direction where Chen Lin and the young man were standing.
Several monsters nearby who had instinctively looked at the Phantom Shadow made eye contact for an instant with this sweeping gaze.
Their bodies suddenly swelled up and then burst like an inflated balloon with a ‘bang’.
The scattered flesh rained onto the monsters beside them, whose bodies instantly twisted and swelled further, growing wriggling eyes.
Seeing this sight, Chen Lin abruptly pulled the young man next to him, keeping their heads down, and directly slashed through a few still-twitching monsters in their way, rushing into a nearby settlent.
“Don’t look up in that direction!”
He shouted loudly.

Outside Newland City-State
Night had once again descended, and He Ao’s clone stood on a ship, his gaze extending past the spherical building phantom that was gradually erging from the fog, looking up at the sky.
“What is that?”
Li Cheng, who was standing next to him, followed his gaze looking toward the distant horizon.
A day had passed since the blockade of Newland City-State.
Due to interference with nearby air routes, Li Cheng had made several detours, traveling from Central Earth before finally eting He Ao’s clone, who had just dealt with the Black Shadow.
On this ship, it wasn’t just Li Cheng, but also Rudel from the World Tree and the last surviving C-level from Moonlight.
These strongest fighters from the main world all followed He Ao’s gaze, looking toward the end of the spherical mist.
At the boundless horizon of the sea, behind the hemispherical machine veiled in thick fog, a giant phantom of a planet was slowly erging from the point where the sky t the ocean.
As if it were slowly rising from the end of the sea.
“Relic.”
He Ao responded calmly.
Upon hearing this answer, everyone was stunned, their expressions filled with surprise and shock.
Although long before, explorers from the main world had scientifically determined that the relic was a dwarf planet with a diater of about a thousand kiloters.
But this was the first ti they were standing at such a close distance, seeing this planet.
The diater of this dwarf planet was only a fraction of the main world’s planet, one-third of the Moon’s.
But even so, this was still a planet with a diater asured in thousands of kiloters, and compared to the human body, it remained a terrifying behemoth.
However, He Ao did not focus on this phantom for too long.
Although the relic planet was large, in essence, it was just an incorporeal phantom ford by the dissipation of energy.
What truly took part in the “exchange” was Newland City-State and the Underground Palace.
He Ao’s gaze shifted to a corner of the dense fog.
A “Phantom Shadow” ford of mist and shattered space debris was slowly taking shape out of the void.
“What is that?”
Li Cheng followed He Ao’s gaze to the phantom.
“The principal culprit behind this incident.”
He Ao stated directly.
“What can we do?”
Li Cheng frowned and asked in a low voice.
They had already tried before, completely unable to penetrate the barrier of that fog.
This incident had surpassed all experiences of the main world; thus, the one with extensive knowledge in esoteric studies and a mysterious background, “Hao Yi,” beca the linchpin for everyone.
He Ao glanced at him, shaking his head.
What appeared outside Newland City-State right now were all phantoms.
Inside the city-state, they might catch glimpses of so real scenes, but the actual entity was still in the Relic World opposite the gate.
And those were Angels.
Even if they descended to this world, stand here except Li Cheng, who could briefly control Angel-class weapons, would probably be delivering their own heads on a platter.
And if the exchange were to be completely finalized, and the Angels descended, that would be the worst-case scenario.
That would equate to exposing the coordinates of the main world directly to the Divine Beings beyond it.
In the end, he let out a soft sigh and said,
“Wait.”

Relic World
He Ao’s original body was observing everything before him, fixed on the enormous relic planet.
The massive phantom of the main world, which seed so real before, was real here in the eyes of He Ao in this place.
Similarly, the huge ‘life’ made of space debris and fog here was also real—the 009-1, an Angelic being.
At the mont, the ‘gaze’ of that Angelic life form was not on He Ao standing behind it, but rather on the side of the ‘man-made sun’ that faced the relic planet below it.
Faint phantom shadows were already appearing on that half sun still blazing with fla.
Those were the phantom shadows of Newland City-State; at this mont, the entire phantom of Newland City-State was facing the relic planet, and the spot where He Ao currently stood was behind the city’s phantom.
The ‘exchange’ seed to be at its final monts, which is why that ‘Angel’ was constantly monitoring the status of Newland City-State.
But its keenness was still present, for almost the instant He Ao erged from the hatch,
An eye opened amidst those shattered pieces of space, looking in He Ao’s direction.
Distorted contamination rushed towards He Ao’s mind in an instant.
It seed as if the Angel intended to drive He Ao insane directly through the contamination.
Then, He Ao glanced at it, turned around, and went to find the Suppression Field Generator Platform where Fragnt 001 was stored.
The endless cosmos seed to fall into a mont of silence.
In a very short ti, 009-1 didn’t seem to realize what had just happened, and then a series of eyes opened from the spatial fragnts on the Angel’s body, watching He Ao.
But He Ao rely turned his back, refusing to make eye contact with it.
The twisted contamination continued to spread to He Ao while 009-1 watched him, but it wasn’t as direct as a face-to-face encounter, and even if it had been a direct confrontation, the contamination would not have greatly affected He Ao.
However, through the behavior of 009-1, he also confird another hypothesis in his mind.
In this critical mont, 009-1, with its power being used for ‘exchange,’ all its abilities were caught up in the ‘exchange,’ even restricting its own movents.
Otherwise, right when He Ao appeared, it could simply have stuck to his face and gone for a quick finish, without resorting to indirect thods like contamination, using it once and then a second ti.
Even so, He Ao didn’t have much ti.
Once it realized contamination was ineffective, 009-1 would surely begin to withdraw its power and use more ans against him until he was completely killed.
His gaze swept over the spherical tallic surface, as well as the surrounding cosmic vacuum.
The place he was in should be outside the ‘Underground Palace.’
The interior of the Underground Palace has many structures similar to those beneath the surface, leading the researchers from the main world who had little information on the Underground Palace to mistakenly believe it was an underground construction.
But in fact, the ‘Underground Palace’ itself seed to be a ‘man-made sun’ that exists in the heavens.
The latter half, facing away from the Relic Planet, was the Underground Palace Research Institute, while the front half was presumably a heat-producing device.
This might be why the Explorers of the main world could never find a way to reach the Underground Palace from the ground, no matter what they tried.
Because the ‘Underground Palace’ is up in the heavens.
In fact, in the vicinity of the Relic Planet, there are many ‘man-made suns’ resembling the Underground Palace.
They burn with blazing flas, revolving around the Relic Planet.
Serving as the lighting system for the Relic Planet, they ensure ample illumination and the alternation of day and night, even as the planet drifts away from its star system.
This may not be the most efficient energy utilization, but it seems to be the best way to protect the ‘planet’s original ecology.’
There were no large celestial bodies around, just a hollow universe full of distant stars.
Before destruction arrived, this dwarf planet was ‘sailing’ through the vast universe with the entire Relic Civilization and these man-made suns.
However, the Underground Palace might also be one of the more special constructions among these man-made suns.
The ‘man-made suns’ around were entirely ablaze with fire and didn’t divide into hemispheres of ‘burning’ as the Underground Palace did.
He Ao activated his Super mory, quickly scanning all the surrounding environnt.
Soon, he spotted a small tallic platform not far from him.
Indeed, this Suppression Field Generator Platform would not be placed far from the exit.
He Ao’s feet spewed out flas, propelling him rapidly towards the tallic platform.
At this ti, 009-1, which kept opening ‘eyes,’ finally realized that He Ao seed to have so resistance to the contamination.
Its eyes hidden within the spatial fragnts no longer focused on He Ao but instead looked around to his front, back, left, and right.
In that mont, a pitch-black vortex suddenly appeared right in front of He Ao.
He Ao imdiately raised his hands, and flas spouted, carrying his body off course, bypassing the vortex.
Just as he skirted past the vortex, a new one appeared in front of him, and right then, a ‘Lizard’ creature with bared fangs and claws charged out of the vortex, seemingly intent on tearing He Ao’s cha apart.
But almost the mont its body erged from the vortex, its blood vessels burst instantly, with frost covering its body, turning it into a large ‘Lizard ice block.’
It seed this creature didn’t understand science, unaware of what ‘careful, vacuum’ ant, nor did it know about the low temperature of the universe.
Even as there were man-made suns around, the energy from those suns appeared to be collected through so thod and mainly projected onto Relic Planet.
In the desolate space devoid of any stars nearby, horrifying low temperatures still pervaded every inch of the void.
He Ao’s figure swept over the ‘Lizard ice block,’ and in front of his view, more and more vortices opened up.
These vortices seed to be doors leading to the interior of the Underground Palace.
Allowing 009-1 to summon creatures from within the Underground Palace to hinder He Ao’s actions.
Behind the Lizard monster, what appeared in front of He Ao was a doll with flesh-and-blood eyes.
Its body didn’t seem to be completely made of flesh; even after its blood-soaked eyes burst and froze, it still charged at He Ao, ready to attack.
Then it was bisected by He Ao with a swing of his black broadsword, exposing its chanical core inside.
As He Ao continued to move forward, the number of monsters in the corridor ahead increased.
009-1 also seed to have figured out a tactic, no longer summoning purely flesh-and-blood monsters but instead those with a majority of chanical components.
The strength of the monsters grew as well.
By the ti He Ao reached the midpoint, the monsters he faced had already reached the peak of C-level.
Even though opening the gate to the unified space ‘Heaven’ was more convenient for 009-1, passing through the gate with such high-intensity monsters must have also drained so strength.
This ant that 009-1 was continuously siphoning power to deal with He Ao.
And when He Ao had covered two-thirds of the distance, he saw on the chanical surface below a corpse wearing broken protective cha, frozen and hanging on the ‘artificial sun’s’ chanical surface.
At the sa ti, at this distance, he could also clearly see the seriously damaged traces on the tallic platform ahead.
Just then, a massive vine suddenly lashed out from the vortex ahead, striking his cha.
He Ao parried the vine with his sword and then maneuvered the cha to roll in midair, overclocking the cha to leap towards the tal platform at maximum speed.
009-1 seemingly did not anticipate that He Ao could suddenly burst forth with such speed.
Only a few vortexes opened in the last stretch, with huge vines reaching out from within, attempting to obstruct He Ao.
But He Ao did not engage in battle; he used his speed advantage to quickly dodge or sweep away the vines, and in almost the blink of an eye, he arrived in front of the tal platform.
And in that instant, a vast vortex appeared in front of him, followed by a ‘vine tree’ completely entwined with vines erging from within it.
Half of its body was in the vortex, half extended out to face He Ao, with countless thickly layered ‘skins’ of vines bursting forth from this vine tree, attacking He Ao.
This vine tree appeared to be the ‘source’ of the vines in the Underground Palace, and it had modified its structure to adapt to the space environnt for the part that extended from the vortex.
Countless tiny vines spread instantly in the quiet vacuum of space, rushing towards He Ao, blocking his path.
Its intent was not on He Ao’s vitals but on trying to destroy the structure of ‘Adam 1 Type,’ exposing He Ao’s body to the vacuum.
Compared to He Ao’s combat strength, the defensive power of Adam 1 Type was much weaker.
He Ao looked at the vine with the eyes of Divine Sense.
Energy convergence points, interwoven and distributed on the vine tree, appeared in his sight; and before the vine tree, there were various net-like vines spread out.
These vines ca at him thick as raindrops.
He Ao didn’t hesitate to overclock the cha, and its enormous propulsion carried him like a streak of light toward the vine tree that blocked the tal platform.
Sharp sword light cut through the green vines, and the severed vines, like clouds suspended in space, spread out behind He Ao’s steps.
Soon, He Ao had reached the vine tree, but just as he was about to reach it, in the last instant, the colossal vine tree suddenly writhed, dragging its lower half out of the vortex as well.
Endless new vines surged from its lower half, blocking He Ao’s retreat, rushing at him from all sides.
The vine tree had kept these vines hidden behind the vortex, out of He Ao’s sight, waiting for this mont to surge forward and completely ‘strangle’ He Ao.
He Ao looked at the sky full of vines, lifted his hand, and a wrinkled silver tal block ca to his grasp; the contamination of the chanical Core ring forcefully activated the tal block’s power in an instant.
Twisted order pervaded the calm depths of space in that instant.
A gigantic vine tree and a small figure before it ford a painting that seed eternally still in the cosmos.
The next second, that still painting trembled slightly, followed by the silver cha breaking free from this ‘painting.’
The dark Phantom Shadow, like a fluid brushstroke, swept over the silent world, leaving invisible marks all over the huge vine tree.
Finally, the silver cha soared past the vine tree, past the large vortex behind it, reaching the tal platform beyond the vine tree.
The terrifying giant tree and the endless vines behind the cha crumbled, turning into blocks of solidified erald ice.
And He Ao looked towards the completely damaged tal platform.
A hollowed tal cube about fifteen centiters on each side hovered over the square of the tal platform.
A faint, weak red glow emanated from inside the tal case.
So twisted whispers echoed in his ears.
