Chapter 1592: Chapter 1592: Running Away with the Elderly

The roaring helicopter dragged the fierce wind, cutting through the pitch-black night sky, approaching from afar.

The burly young man carried two figures through the night, streaking through the sky.

Compared to the majestic skyscrapers around them, their figures were so small.

The large plastic sheet trailing behind them made a flapping sound in the wind but did not open up.

The harsh wind scraped across their faces.

The trio rushed forward, their falling speed increasing rapidly.

“Ahhh!!!!” “Ahhh!!!!”

Sianna and Gemu scread sharply.

The Radiant Building was so high, there were almost no skyscrapers around to rival it.

They were practically free-falling in the sky.

After descending about tens of ters, He Ao controlled his Divine Sense to penetrate the plastic sheet behind them, forcibly propping it open.

Bang—

With the slight sound of the plastic sheet opening, the figures of the three in mid-air abruptly slowed “drifting” towards a tall building ahead.

Rip—

But not long after they started drifting, a crisp sound suddenly rang out.

The wide plastic sheet tore open with a huge split, abruptly ripping apart.

He Ao could sense the two beside him suddenly tense up.

Three figures accelerated again, charging towards the rooftop of the tall building ahead.

The fractured halves tangled together, wrapping around the trio.

They rolled onto the ground.

He Ao took out a folding knife, slashing open the plastic sheet from the inside.

“Damn, cough—” Gemu rolled up from the ground, starting to untangle the remaining plastic sheet wrapped around him, feeling dizzy, speaking with amused structuring, “You actually did it.”

“Luck’s always on my side, old geezer.” He Ao flipped over and quickly helped Sianna cut off the wrapping plastic sheet.

By now, Gemu also managed to stand up, looking up at the elevator building nearby, “This building has an elevator; we can go down directly.”

“I’m afraid that’s not possible.”

He Ao looked up.

A fierce whistling sounded above them.

A searchlight from the hovering helicopter illuminated the three below.

The helicopter’s side door opened, revealing a machine gun.

“Quick, hide behind the elevator building.”

He Ao rolled over, rushing towards the edge of the rooftop.

The searchlight followed his figure.

Sianna stood up beside him, supporting Gemu as they started running back.

By this ti, the machine gun had already aid at He Ao, pouring bullets downward.

He Ao dodged the bullets, pulling out two handguns he’d taken from the first rcenaries from his waist.

While dodging, he fired back.

Bang bang—

With several loud gunshots, the rcenary with the machine gun was hit, leaning forward, lying on the machine gun.

Several bullets struck the helicopter’s windshield, only to be deflected.

It seed to be so kind of bulletproof glass.

anwhile, the ‘teammate’ behind the now-dead rcenary directly pushed off his body, letting it fall from the helicopter’s side door, grabbing the machine gun himself.

During this interval, He Ao had already reached the rooftop’s edge, where a pile of discarded construction materials, tal sheets, steel bars, and panels lay.

It seed so makeshift ‘structures’ had been erected here but were later dismantled.

Bang bang bang—

The intense sound of the machine gun rang out.

He Ao rolled behind the construction materials.

The helicopter instantly changed direction, circling around the materials, lowering its height, closing the distance.

But as they circled the materials, they saw He Ao lifting rusty rebar behind him.

Bam—

The slender rusty rebar swiftly cut through the sky like a piercing sword, instantly stabbing through the helicopter’s cockpit glass, through the pilot’s body, and into the top, jamming the rotor.

With a whistling sound, the helicopter tilted abruptly, crashing into a nearby dimly lit building.

Boom—

An intense explosion, accompanied by flas, descended into the snowflake-filled night sky.

He Ao quickly moved behind the elevator, looking at Gemu, whose eyes were wide open.

“Damn, how did you do that?” Gemu instinctively asked.

“A bit of a lucky encounter,” He Ao glanced at him, smiling, “Want to learn? I can teach you.”

“You damn, you want to be my coach, huh?” Gemu chuckled instantly.

“Alright, alright,” Sianna interrupted with a laugh, “How do we get out of here? Take the elevator?”

“We can’t take that,” He Ao walked to the rooftop edge, glancing down at the Radiant below, “The bottom of this building is also surrounded.”

He turned, looking around the tall buildings, “We take to the sky.”

“What do you an by taking to the sky?”

Gemu was slightly puzzled.

······

“Ahhh!!!!” “Ahhh!!!!”

Intense screams echoed in the night sky.

“Quiet down, you two, quiet down!”

He Ao traversed the night sky, landing on the rooftop of a high building, taking a running leap, leaving the building once more.

Gemu and Sianna, tucked under his arms, instinctively opened their mouths, paused, then restrained themselves.

Gemu clearly had many questions, but he knew this wasn’t the ti to ask, and forced himself to hold back.

The noise of swirling helicopter rotors filled the sky, with searchlights reaching down from the helicopters, skimming the building tops.

He Ao quickly slipped away, evading the helicopters, maintaining speed while jumping between the buildings.

The roaring wind whistled past his ears with resounding echoes.

Routes flashed before his eyes through his glasses.

Eve swiftly fetched data on the height and spacing of all nearby buildings, mapping out the simplest ‘pathway’ for him, ensuring he wouldn’t find himself atop a tall building with nowhere to ‘jump.’

Below the night, bright lights shone, comprised of nurous gang mbers and rcenary search and capture teams.

Bang—

He Ao landed on a short building, glancing back at the helicopters whizzing through the sky.

They had broken the first security core.

Just then, in the front shadows of the night, two silhouettes were rapidly erging.

They trailed long exhaust flas, appearing to be so kind of hovering figures, quickly closing in on their position.

Following behind them, there was a helicopter shining light.

Full Body Prosthesis chanically Modified Person, huh.

He Ao glanced at the two figures, quickly leaping a few tis, passing through several small buildings around, appearing as if stepping down stairs, layer by layer falling, finally landing in a narrow, dark alley.

He Ao put Gemu and Sianna down.

“Loren—ah—” Gemu looked at He Ao, just about to ask sothing, then his throat moved, he turned around, and began to vomit violently against the wall.

Sianna couldn’t even speak, leaning directly on the wall, vomiting violently.

It seems they are indeed a bit ‘dizzy,’ high-altitude extre sports, dizziness is normal.

He Ao waited a mont, until the most intense wave of their vomiting was over, he looked up at the sky, “We need to leave quickly.”

The roar of a helicopter echoed in the sky, seemingly a nearby helicopter searching in this direction.

“How do we go—ugh—” Gemu lifted his head, once more spat out, finally dizzy and disoriented, he ca back to his senses and looked at He Ao, “Find a place to hide?”

He shook his head, seemingly trying to dispel the dizziness, then he turned his gaze towards the exit of the alley behind him, “They have cars, and planes, we can’t outrun them, we could go through the sewers.”

“We also have a car.” He Ao shrugged.

“What car?” Gemu was stunned.

And He Ao in front of him didn’t speak, but naturally stepped aside, revealing the alley entrance behind him.

A streamlined red car body with silver decals slowly erged from the night, passing through the drifting snowflakes, stopping at the entrance of the alley.

He Ao took out the keychain he’d kept in his pocket, raising the cardholder with a crystal card inside.

Gemu’s eyes widened instantly, “You drove her here?”

Then he montarily paused, glancing at his la leg, then lifted his shirt to glance at the bandage wrapped around his chest.

Then he turned his body, looking at Sianna beside him, “Anna, can you drive?”

Sianna groggily straightened up, glanced at Gemu, glanced at the red car at the alley entrance, then looked up at the sky, shaking her head, “I can’t drive this.”

The sound of helicopter rotors grew closer and closer.

“Alright, Old Geezer,” He Ao raised the crystal card in his hand, looking at Gemu, “I can drive, why don’t you trust people, just get in the car.”

Gemu suspiciously glanced at He Ao.

···

Bang bang bang—

With the sound of three car doors closing, He Ao sat at the driver’s seat, Gemu and Sianna sat in the back row.

The car’s equipnt lights lit up one by one.

This car’s autopilot system had already been replaced by Eve, it was Eve who drove it over just now, and also fully charged it at an automatic charging station along the way.

He Ao unlocked the cardholder on the keychain, retrieving the crystal card from inside.

However, such high-powered old cars have physical limitations, you must use a key card to fully activate performance mode.

He Ao tossed the remaining keychain to Gemu, then inserted the crystal card into the slot under the vehicle’s display, pressing the ‘performance mode’ button.

Ding—

Accompanied by a crisp sound, the originally light blue ambient lights in the car instantly turned scarlet, the white LCD screen behind the steering wheel flipped to reveal another curved red LCD screen.

Two silver paddle shifters instantly popped out from below the steering wheel.

“Whoa, that’s kind of cool.” He Ao put his hand on the steering wheel, fingers resting on the paddle shifters, exclaiming.

The roaring sound of a helicopter hovered above their heads.

A light shone down from the sky, illuminating the red vehicle, one after another cars erged from the darkness.

“They found us.”

Sianna lifted her head, looking at the surrounding vehicles closing in.

“It should be those two chanically Modified Persons,” He Ao calmly placed his hand on the right gear lever, “They must have scanned us before, but didn’t co directly, instead they called for reinforcents first.”

“Kid, do you even know how to drive,” Gemu nervously looked at He Ao, “I rember you didn’t drive after getting your license?”

“Fasten your seatbelt, don’t worry,” He Ao pulled the right gear lever, switching to sport mode, “I’m a top-notch racing expert, Northern Gate, Storm Sea shores, Dawn City, Vitland, I’ve been to too many places.”

Left foot on the brake, right foot on the gas pedal, and then instantly releasing the brake.

“When did you go to so many cities?” Gemu tugged at his seatbelt, confused.

The vehicle instantly shot forward, the tires scraping the ground, emitting smoke, then suddenly skidding and drifting on the snowy road.

Gemu’s body montarily flung to the other side, crashing into Sianna, who’s buckled up beside him.

At this mont, he finally realized sothing, shouting, “Whoa, it’s that stupid racing simulation ga of yours! Stop, I want to get out!”

A heavy SUV rapidly approached from the front, another one coming from behind, both trying to sandwich the red sports car.

“Stop now!” Gemu, panicking, looked at the incoming cars, “We’re going to hit!”

“Stop yelling, Old Geezer, what do you know! A simulation ga can also hone excellent skills!” He Ao’s expression didn’t change, he instantly counter-steered, the skidding vehicle seeming to move sideways, shifting to another lane on the left.

Just when Gemu sat back upright, he was flung out again, hitting the car door on the other side.

Simultaneously, the red sports car suddenly accelerated, rushing toward the enclosing SUVs.

Bang bang bang—

The people inside the SUVs imdiately reacted, firing at the red sports car.

Amidst the crisp gunfire, the red sports car went half-wheel onto the sidewalk, brushing past an SUV.

The SUV driver saw He Ao coming, imdiately raised his gun, aiming at He Ao.

Yet facing him, was an equally black gun barrel.

Bam—

One shot was on target, the SUV instantly lost control.

He Ao tossed the handgun he just pulled out onto the passenger seat, flooring the accelerator.

The red vehicle shot out from beside the out-of-control SUV, breaking through the encirclent in an instant.

The out-of-control SUV crashed into several SUVs charging from behind, igniting a roaring blaze.

Having been jolted several tis, Gemu finally seized the chance, stabilized himself, and secured his seatbelt.

“That’s why they say, you should always fasten your seatbelt in a car.” He Ao glanced at Gemu behind him through the rearview mirror, smiling.

Sianna beside him also turned her head, showing a faint smile.

“You rascal,” Gemu, his face red, said, “I should really take you to the ring tonight and give you a real beating.”

“Forget it,” He Ao glanced at the glittering light in the rearview mirror, “Since you were sixteen, you’ve never beaten in the ring.”

“I’m just getting older, what do you know,” Gemu gritted his teeth, “If I were ten years younger, I’d beat you to tears.”

“Old Geezer, the whole world’s falling apart, and your mouth’s still the toughest part left.” He Ao laughed.

A bright light shone on the car’s hood, the roaring helicopter rotor sounds hovered in the air.

“You brat,” Gemu flipped a middle finger at He Ao, then turned, looking at the lights outside the rear window, “The cars chasing behind are closing in.”

“I know.” He Ao slamd the steering wheel, abruptly hitting the brakes.

The speeding car drifted a beautiful arc at the intersection, turning swiftly onto the road to the right, then accelerating forward.

The SUVs behind couldn’t handle such a sharp turn, imdiately braking to slow down, one rolled over due to excessive speed, crashing through the guardrail.

The roaring helicopter rotor sounds still echoed in the sky.

Gemu lifted his head, “The helicopter’s still there, they’re accelerating towards us.”

“Alright.” He Ao nodded, continuing to floor the gas pedal once more.

Buzz—

Just then, his wristband lit up, a call ca in.
