Kim Seojin looked at the High Vampire’s stats, a sight that made him frown. There was a significant difference between their original stats.
If it weren’t for the Insignia of the Vampire Lord, which considerably increased his own stats, that difference alone would have been enough to make him give up.
With the insignia, the equation was slightly different, since he had already placed most of his free stats into Strength and Agility.
He also had an additional boost from the Sword of the Tutorial, which increased his Strength stat by ten points.

With the external effects, the gap between their Strength stats was more or less covered. His problem was still Agility, but he didn’t think it would be as troubleso, especially with his Battle Guidance skill.
Agility was a dangerous stat, making it almost impossible for an opponent to see your movents. For that, he had Guidance. Even without seeing the attacks, he could still react based on the threads that guided him.
"How confident are you about it?" asked Lee Taehyung, wrapping his arms around his chest. Even if Seojin looked confident, it was still not sothing easy to achieve for soone like him.
"If I hadn’t received this gift from the Vampire Lord, I would say ten percent," answered Seojin, glancing in the direction of the Vampire Lord, who was still observing him.
"And now?" Taehyung frowned.
"Depends on how high you can count." Seojin raised his sword, aiming it at the High Vampire. "Now stop disturbing , and co up with a plan to help us leave after I’m done here."
"Easier said than done," Taehyung scoffed, but he still tried to think of a way.
Even if they killed the High Vampires here, if they couldn’t find a way to leave this place, then an even more frightening existence was going to beco active.
They not only had to survive, but they also had to leave this city within a limited ti.
"If you can’t do it, that ans no one can," said Seojin, having complete faith in Lee Taehyung. After all, this man was the main character of this story. If anyone could find a way to escape from this ss, it was him.
Until then, he was going to try to get the second fragnt of the Sword of Hephaestus from the High Vampire.
"Have you finished the last conversation of your life?" The High Vampire frowned. "Think of that as the last rcy you are ever going to receive from ."
"I’m sorry, but I don’t want to have the last conversation of my life with soone like him. So I would have to refuse your kind intentions." Seojin activated the battle Guidance and rushed forth, surprising even the High Vampire.
Even if this boy was a fool, how could he be foolish enough to rush at a Vampire? At least that’s what the High Vampire thought, as he looked down on the boy.
Even if that boy’s movents were fast, they were nothing compared to his speed. It was like the difference between heaven and hell.
"I wanted to give you an opportunity to beg for your life, so I can have more fun while killing you. But it seems like there’s no need for that." The High Vampire also moved, as he appeared behind Seojin, as if he had simply teleported there.
Just as Seojin had thought, even a twenty point difference in agility was too much. He couldn’t even see the High Vampire’s movent. He only felt a sense of death looming over him, with his instincts warning him repeatedly.
He didn’t panic, even now. He never wanted to rely on his speed in the first place. It was just a false front that he had put forth, to make the High Vampire look down on him.
His eyes were never on the High Vampire in the first place. Instead, his eyes were on the thin thread of guidance. His Sword followed the thread, cutting it from the middle.
As he followed the thread, he moved his body, and turned around, rely monts before the High Vampire appeared there.
His Sword traced the thread, as his focus remained unbreakable. It was as if everything in this world had disappeared, except that thin thread that remained the only existence here.
The High Vampire looked absolutely shocked. He could see that if he continued attacking, he was going to kill Kim Seojin. But at the sa ti, his own head was going to be sent flying.
Did he want to sacrifice his life to kill a re mortal that was even lower than an insect in his eyes? No. It wasn’t even a worthy sacrifice, as the value of these two lives weren’t comparable for him.
He abandoned his attack, and moved to avoid the sword first. It was only then, he realized that he had screwed up badly.
The sword was never coming for his throat in the first place. Instead, the trajectory that it followed, was the sa place where he had dodged. He was in disbelief. How could a mortal predict his movents? Could he see the future? It was impossible!
He again dodged, almost losing his balance. He had completely lost the initiative, and the situation beca even worse for him. The more he tried to avoid that sword, the more it ca for him.
It wasn’t just looking into the future. It was as if sothing was guiding him to his death. No matter what he did, fate felt inevitable.
"H-how..." he stuttered in disbelief, as the sword finally connected to his neck, slicing through it. The High Vampire’s head was sliced through, and fell on the ground. Even in death, his eyes remained open.
Not just him, but the other High Vampires also looked like they couldn’t believe their eyes.
