’Did they really expect to steal the sword from a High Vampire?’
The difficulty of finding the three fragnts of the sword was beyond expectations even for Eren. He was able to understand why no one was able to find that sword in the past.
The first step itself was hard enough. A Player had to talk to the Guide, learn about his personality from the clues and make him happy to receive the first fragnt.
The second fragnt was even harder to receive as one had to offend the Vampires enough for the one with the fragnt to co out.
As for the last fragnt, he was not sure where he could find it. To find the third fragnt, he first had to survive long enough.
At first, it was just one High Vampire who had co out. But the number increased. Within seconds, the entire area was surrounded by High Vampires.
"Do you have a plan?" Taehyung asked Seojin.
He did not have any emotion on his face. There was no fear, which made Seojin wonder if he really had a way to escape in this situation.
’What am I even thinking? He is the Regressor. Why would he fear death? He would just return to the past if he died.’
He was realizing sothing important that he had forgotten to take into consideration.
He had long guessed that Lee Taehyung entered the Main Building in one of his regressions. From his words, it was also clear that he did not save the humans but killed them.
Seojin had thought that he had managed to escape alive after that. Why else would he be so calm about that situation?
That’s what gave him courage to infiltrate that place because he placed a lot of importance on the presence of the Regressor.
He had completely forgotten the possibility of the Regressor dying in the building after killing the humans. Could he really have escaped the High Vampires alone? That was unlikely.
He couldn’t help but glare at Taehyung. However, he couldn’t even bla him either. It was his fault for believing in his assumptions so much.
Because of the Regressor’s presence, he had taken a lot more risks than he would have otherwise.
"What are the chances for us to complete this tutorial alive?" he asked Taehyung.
Lee Taehyung shrugged. "Is there even a need to count zero?"
Seojin almost cursed out loud. This had confird it. The Regressor had died last ti he ca across these people.
"I suppose this is as far as we will go." Seojin held his rusted sword firmly in his hand. "But even if that is the case, I don’t want to give up so easily."
He did not know if he was going to be present in the Regressor’s next life. But even if that wasn’t the case, he didn’t want to accept his death easily.
So what if there were so many High Vampires? So what if death was the most certain outco?
"Can you keep the other High Vampires busy?" Seojin asked. "I want to have so personal ti with the one who destroyed the car."
"Did you like that car so much? Even in death, you want to have revenge for it?" Lee Taehyung jokingly replied, his eyes gleaming with mischief.
"Since you’re still in the mood to joke around, I suppose it won’t be a problem for you to give a few minutes?"

He was not arrogant, but he also did not want the High Vampire to be at his best. Even if it was to intentionally anger him, he used his words.
"You are quite arrogant. No wonder our Lord took an interest in you," The High Vampire stated.
The other High Vampires stood silently, so even appearing like they were bored.
"I want to go and sleep." One of the High Vampires yawned.
Another High Vampire arrogantly looked down on Seojin and Taehyung.

There were even a few who started reminiscing about the past where they were allowed to run wild against the humans.
Many of them missed that ti. The peace was not sothing they were made for. They loved bloodshed and chaos.
"You can’t bla these humans. Unlike us, they have a short lifespan. It makes sense for them to forget what happened the last ti humans tried anything."
"Speaking of that, these humans tried to steal our food? Did they really think that they could take what is ours?"
"They said humans are smarter than beasts. But why can’t I find any difference between them and beasts? No wonder they are only good enough to be our food."
Seojin ignored their words and used his skill to see just how strong the man in front of him was.
