"Why are we here?"

Lee Taehyung observed the room, but he did not find anything special in this room. This place looked like an ordinary office room and nothing more.

"We are here because this is a shortcut," Seojin answered as he readied his sword.

He did not have any explosive skills, but he had gained quite a few stat points thanks to his leveling up spree.

He placed most of the free stat points in his strength and the remaining ones in his agility.

To use Guidance to the best, he needed to keep up with the speed. At the sa ti, he needed strength to increase his damage.

Seojin planted his foot firmly on the ground and swung his Sword. With a single swing, his Sword sliced through the wall that connected to the other room.

He sliced through the wall, but did not stop there. He kept repeating the attack until he made a door shaped cut in the wall.

Following the cut, he simply pushed the block of the wall away, creating an opening.

He connected this room to the other room that was heavily guarded by the High Ranking Vampires.

Fortunately, the Vampires were only outside the room. There were none in the room itself.

[Ti Remaining before restrictions on the High Vampires are removed: 7 Minutes 53 Seconds]

"I see. So this was what you had been aiming for."

After Lee Taehyung entered the room, he understood where they were. This wasn’t just an ordinary room. Instead, this was the control room of this building.

From here, they could ss with the entire building.

"Can you open all the cells and sealed doors in this building?"

Seojin looked at all the high tech equipnt in this room. He could learn how to use it, but he understood it was going to take a lot of ti.

He pushed the responsibility on Lee Taehyung who was from this era. Taehyung was a Regressor who had lived much longer than anyone in this place.

Seojin was certain that handling the control room was a piece of cake for him.

"So this is how you want to screw them over." Taehyung stepped towards the table before him. He created strange gestures on the table, turning on the holographic screen.

"The Vampires truly are arrogant. It looks like they did not expect that anyone would be able to co here. There’s not a single password on this ancient relic."

"Ancient Relic?" Seojin smiled wryly in response.

If this tech was an ancient relic for him, then he didn’t even want to imagine what he was going to call the technology of his era where they actually used computers and laptops with physical screens.

"How long will it take you?" Seojin asked.

Lee Taehyung replied, "One minute at most."

"That is good. That should give us enough ti to leave this place as well. While you are at it, can you also make it so that the prisoners hear my voice?"

"That is easy." Taehyung made a few gestures in the air. "They can hear you now."

....

All the underground floors were filled with human prisoners, who had been living a life that would have made anyone want to die.

Every day, blood was drawn out of their bodies. They were just like cattle in a farm.

When they weren’t giving blood, they were kept in prison cells like the worst criminals ever.

Every day, without fail, they were going through the sa pattern. They were living like dead zombies, repeating the sa day again and again.

Today appeared different for them. It had been a long ti, yet the Vampires known as ’Collectors’ had not co to take blood from them.

They did not understand why this change had occurred. Did sothing happen to the Vampires?

Almost all of them knew that this was just a fantasy. There was no way sothing could happen to the Vampires. They were too strong.

"Greetings, fellow humans."

While the prisoners were waiting, a voice echoed in all the prison cells.

All the prisoners raised their heads.

"Fellow humans? Is it another human talking to us?’

"How could that be possible?"

"Did sothing really happen?"

"Did soone co to save us?"

Many humans stood up, hope igniting in their eyes again.

"What’s the point of getting excited? It must be the new way of the Vampires to toy with us."

If many were happy, then there were also people who didn’t care about it. They were more pessimistic.

"I’m sure you have many questions. Just rember, that I am not a Vampire. For now, the Vampires are kept busy. But you don’t have much ti!"

"In a few seconds, all your prison cells will be opened. I don’t know how much ti you will have, or if you can even escape safely. But this is the best I can do for you with the kind of limitations I have."

"So when the doors open, it will depend on you. Those who want to take risk for freedom, leave your cells and try to escape this godforsaken City."

"In this attempt, a lot of you may die. Hence, I will not force you to escape. I will give you the power to decide. Best of luck, fellow humans. And if possible, I hope you don’t resent for not doing enough..."

Following Seojin’s gesture, the voice transmission was turned off.

Many prisoners were still shocked with the announcent. They were also hesitant and found it hard to believe.

In the next mont, they heard the clicking sound. At the sa ti, all the prison cells opened at the sa ti.

The Prisoners looked at each other’s faces in confusion. This was just like the voice had said. The cells were opened.

For quite so ti, no one moved. Stepping out of this place was like making a declaration that they were going against the Vampires.

They didn’t even know if they were going to be killed the mont they stepped out of this place.

....

"You realize, most of them won’t even try to leave this place. It would have been much better to kill them all," Lee Taehyung reminded Seojin as he closed the system screen.

"You are correct. It would have been more rewarding to kill them."

"Then why didn’t you?"
