'To think that he received two pieces of equipnt with his class while I didn't even get one.'

Kim Seojin took the ring from the man, rembering how he didn't get even a single item with his class selection.

The only thing he had was the sword, which he received from that squirrel as a gift.

He was different from the Regressor. The Regressor could kill people with just a touch. But he had to rely on himself.

He had to follow the Guidance and fight to kill the opponent. Every piece of equipnt was useful for him as they could help him use guidance in different ways.

He placed the ring on his finger as there was no special equipnt condition.

The ring only had five empty slots. Only five things could be kept inside the ring.

He kept the Magic Staff of Lee Junho and the sword from Jiang Min in the ring. He only kept his own sword with him.

"What is the third trial about?"

After taking the equipnt, he looked back at Lee Taehyung.

*When did I beco your guide?" Lee Taehyung lazily asked.

"You don't have to be so stingy. Isn't it boring to go through the trials alone? Since I'm here, I might as well help you?"

"You want to help ? You are a hundred years too young for that."

"You're the sa age as ."

"I stand by what I said. I don't need your help. You can leave if you're done."

At first, Kim Seojin was slightly scared of the Regressor. He was dangerous and could kill people with just a simple touch. And that was just what he had shown the others.

If he had lived through more than forty lives, it was only given that he had a lot of ways to kill people without using any of his skills.

Despite the dangers, Kim Seojin didn't know why, but he felt like he was safer as long as he was with this Regressor.

He had co from the past, while the Regressor ca from the future. He didn't even know the present, while the Regressor was tired of the present.

From his perspective, he needed the Regressor if he wanted to live longer in this world. With his help, the Regressor might also achieve what he couldn't in the past.

Despite his fear, Kim Seojin looked towards the future.

"So, what are we going to do about food?"

He walked closer to the Regressor and sat only a few tres away from him.

He even sent his sword back inside the ring. He was left empty handed as he laid on the soft grass, completely defenceless.

"I'm not your babysitter. If you want food, steal from others," the Regressor answered.

Kim Seojin rolled his eyes.

"Do you take for a thief?"

"Didn't you just steal from the dead?"

Cough~

Kim Seojin almost choked, hearing the Regressor. When he put it like that, it did look way worse.

"That wasn't stealing. I was just taking compensation for the ntal trauma they caused ."

"Are you always this shaless?"

"I'm never shaless."

"So you are a liar as well."

"You... are you trying to insult ?"

"You just found out?"

....

Over seven hours had passed and there were only two teams left that hadn't finished the second stage yet.

Kim Seojin occasionally looked at them. They were taking things too slow as they were worried about making a mistake.

"How long do you think it will take before others attack those two teams?" he asked Lee Taehyung.

The Regressor was slightly impressed by Kim Seojin's observation.

He didn't show it on his face and just asked, "What makes you think that?"

"Because they are taking things too slow. The other teams have already finished their stage a long ti ago. I can see them starting to get impatient."

"Are you saying that the other teams will either force them to finish the stage or kill them themselves?"

"That does seem likely. These people are too excited to clear this Tutorial. The more delay there is, the more impatient and angry they are getting."

Kim Seojin had already noticed many teams glaring at the two remaining teams.

Until now, they had been keeping their patience. But it was only a matter of ti before they ran out of it.

"Do you want to have a bet?"

"What bet?"

"If I can roughly estimate who will take the first rank after the second stage, I will win. If I guess wrong, you will win."

"There is nothing to bet on that. You will take my na."

"I won't take your na."

"Oh? You think soone can cover the gap with just the scores of the second stage and surpass my score?"

"Who knows. Do you want to have a bet?"

The Regressor was quite curious about Kim Seojin. He was soone that didn't exist in his previous regressions. And he was also quite different.

He didn't understand why Kim Seojin was so confident. But it should have been impossible for anyone to take over his position.

He had gone through the Tutorial many tis. He knew exactly how many points the second stage was worth.

Many had a misunderstanding that most contribution points could be earned from the second stage. But he knew that the first stage was more rewarding.

The highest score a person had received was only hundred points, and he had over four hundred points of lead.

'Is he bluffing? Or has sothing else changed?'

Lee Taehyung wanted to see what more Kim Seojin was hiding.

*What will the winner get?"

"The winner gets to ask the loser to do one thing for them. The wish can't include anything that might harm the loser."

"Fine. I accept."

Lee Taehyung didn't think much about it. He already knew that he was going to win.

The only reason he even accepted this bet was because he couldn't lose it. He had already decided on the thing he was going to ask Kim Seojin.

He wanted to ask Kim Seojin everything, including where he ca from.
