"Sir, are we still going to Moonlight City?" asked Ronan.
Crowne glanced at him and continued eating the at he had just cooked. Right now, he was in the forest, looking for beasts to ta. He wanted to finish his mission as soon as possible.
He felt that the journey to Moonlight City would be difficult. It was a border city constantly attacked by monsters or demons.
There was no guarantee that when they arrived there would be no attack. If they arrived just as a wave of monsters or demons struck, it would be a heavy situation for Crowne.
He didn’t want that situation to turn against him, which was why he wanted to beco stronger as fast as possible.
"Why? You don’t want to co along? Then stay here. We’ll go without you. I won’t mind," said Crowne.
Ronan quickly shook his head. "No, that’s not what I ant, sir. I..." He hesitated to continue because from Crowne’s expression alone, he could tell that his master was already full of determination. "I just think that place is too dangerous. Wouldn’t it be better if we..."
"NO!" Crowne interrupted firmly.
He looked directly at Ronan with sharp eyes. He didn’t like what Ronan had said. His purpose in going to Moonlight City was to find his mother.
It was sothing very important to him. Of course, Crowne would not miss that chance. He wanted to know what had happened to her.
"If you say that again, it’s better if you leave!" he said again, his voice cold and decisive.
Ronan was shocked by his words. He didn’t expect his comnt to make Crowne angry. He lowered his head in sha, feeling guilty.
"I’m sorry," Ronan whispered softly.
Crowne stood up and glared at him with an annoyed expression. "Starting today, you’re free. You can find a new master. I won’t give you any more orders."
Ronan’s eyes widened. He was completely shocked this ti. His mouth opened, but no words ca out. The world seed to stop for him. His heart was pounding rapidly.
"I don..."
Before he could finish his words, Crowne was already gone. He truly left without even looking back, leaving Ronan standing there alone, confused and in shock.
Ronan’s entire body trembled. He hadn’t only angered his master but had been abandoned by him. Sothing he had never imagined would happen.
Since childhood, he had worked in the Velden family residence. He had served Crowne since the age of five. That was not a short ti. His soul already belonged to Crowne.
Now he was free, but to Ronan, it felt like being discarded. He had lost everything, including his purpose in life.
"I’m sorry," he whispered faintly.

[Soldier Rabbit has been tad!]
[You have tad 38/50 beasts!]
Crowne was satisfied with what he had accomplished in the past two days. He had road several forests to gather beasts for himself. Of course, he didn’t just ta random creatures.
He only tad beasts that were strong or interesting to him.
"Twelve beasts left. I think I’ll finish this mission easily tomorrow," Crowne said confidently.
He continued walking. The sky had started to turn orange. He felt that he needed to head back soon, get so rest, and prepare for tomorrow’s retest to determine his adventurer rank.
Besides that, he would also collect the weapon he had ordered from Rick Donn. Tomorrow would be an important day. He needed to rest well.
"I think I’ll be on par with a rank C adventurer, at least," Crowne said confidently.
**
"You are at rank F," said the receptionist.
Crowne’s eyes widened. He was shocked by what he had just heard. He had already raised his level to 45, yet it still didn’t make his rank go up.
Crowne shook his head. He felt that sothing was wrong this ti. Previously, he would just accept things as they were, but not this ti.
"I think there’s a problem with your device. Test it again!" he demanded.
The receptionist repeated the test, but the result was the sa. Crowne was still at rank F. Sothing impossible, in his opinion. He didn’t really care about rank since it was just a number.
However, the requirent to enter Moonlight City was at least rank A. Without that, he wouldn’t be allowed entry.
"I’m sorry, sir, but these are the results. Please don’t be discouraged, because your contributions to the guild have been significant. I’ll add those contribution points and raise your rank to E. I believe that’s fair enough," said the receptionist politely.
Crowne clenched his fists tightly. He was clearly angry, but it was useless since the receptionist didn’t seem willing to change his rank. In the end, Crowne sighed deeply.
He turned around and was about to leave, but just before he stepped out, soone entered the room. It was Dorian.
"I know you’re frustrated with our device, but there’s still a way for you to raise your rank faster," said Dorian, who had just arrived.
Crowne, who was about to leave, imdiately turned around. "Tell !"
"You have to make a contribution to the guild. That way, your rank will rise faster. But it’s difficult, because it ans you must do sothing significant for the guild," explained Dorian.
Crowne frowned. He still didn’t quite understand. The word "contribution" that Dorian ntioned was too vague for him.
"Stop talking in circles. Tell what I need to do!"
Dorian hesitated a little, but according to his investigations, there were reports suggesting that Crowne had been involved in the previous Gorthak wave incident. It was still uncertain, but there were indications that he had helped stop it.
Moreover, he had resolved the problem in Gerlun Village, sothing impossible for a rank F adventurer.
Dorian nodded. "Go to Doomsty City. They’re in trouble there. A sea monster has been killing the fishern. The guild has tried many tis to eliminate it. If you manage to defeat that monster, I’m sure your rank will rise significantly. Even if the guild mbers there don’t acknowledge you, I swear I’ll personally raise your rank myself," he explained at length.
Crowne, who had been irritated, suddenly smiled. "Alright. I’ll go!"
Without further discussion, Crowne imdiately left the room. Dorian looked curious about what result Crowne would bring back. This would answer his doubts.
The receptionist looked anxious. "Isn’t that suicide? Even rank A adventurers couldn’t handle it. How could a rank E possibly do it? You’re sending that young man to his death."
Dorian sighed. "If he’s truly what I believe he is, then he’ll be fine."
"But if he’s not?"
"Then that’s his fate," Dorian replied calmly.
The receptionist shook her head in disbelief. "I never thought you could be this cruel."
