Hours of primalistic potencique pounding later.

...

"Have a safe journey Aunt," Daniel said, watching her walk off with the clay pot balanced on her hands.

Tressa turned, her satisfied smile lighting up her face. "Thanks for the al, Daniel."

Tressa’s holes were utterly ruined by Daniel’s relentless assault. She walked funny and wobbly on the path, as he’d pumped her ass twice before plunging back into her wet pussy, flooding both with thick, even creampies.

Daniel packed the remaining twelve at pouches into a clay pot and handed it to her, so she could savor them later at ho. In return, she pressed five gold coins into his palm as a generous gift.

*Yawn~*

Daniel yawned at the gate’s threshold, watching her fade into the dim streetlight. Then he turned and shuffled toward his room.

*Thud*

Daniel collapsed onto his bed, pulled out his pouch, and withdrew the grimbook. He placed it on his chest, eyes fixed on the ceiling as lantern light flickered from the corner.

’Hwaah... I feel so tired right now, I should get so sleep but... first, let’s check how much I leveled up,’ he thought, flipping open the grimbook.

Either run from pain and gain nothing, or accept it and gain everything.

Pain is inevitable. Pain is acceptable. It doesn’t make you weak, it makes you stronger. Strong enough to endure hardships, like a ship built to sail through storms without fail or fear. Fear is just an illusion, one you can’t conquer without embracing pain as your companion.

Daniel’s forehead burned as his eyes read the words again and again. mories from the past appeared before him, the ti when he was naive and obtained the {Third Eye ability}.

"No fucking way... aghh..." he whispered, closing the book. "What do I do, I don’t want to feel that pain again."

He paused, thinking deeply.

The book wasn’t trying to trick him into gaining that ability. It was challenging him directly.

Daniel opened the book and turned to the page about the {Eternal Eye Ability}.

The illustration at the bottom was painted in red. A circle beneath another circle, with an eye-like drawing that resembled the Eye of Ra.

*Thud*

As Daniel kept reading, sleep took over, and the book slipped from his hands onto his face.

He drifted into a deep sleep.

...

He woke up and found himself in an empty void. Dots like distant stars glowed far away, and red fog drifted forward with faint light shining through it.

His body was translucent, and he sat on red water.

anwhile, Marnie walked past him in her chemise gown and continued forward, slowly fading into the fog.

’Mom!’

Daniel tried to speak, but no words ca out. He stood up, and suddenly Jessica appeared out of thin air and walked past him toward the light.

’Aunt?!’

Daniel tried to catch her arm, but his hand passed through her body, even though he could feel and touch his own arms.

With no other choice, he followed the only path.

The light.

He walked deeper, his vision growing foggy. The path beneath his feet changed from water to stone, and scattered bones appeared along the sides.

Ahead, he saw a mountain of skeleton bones and skulls, and soone sleeping on top of it.

’Why do I feel like I have been here before?’ he murmured to himself.

He stepped closer and climbed the mountain. At the top, he saw himself in flesh, lying face down on a book, one that looked almost similar to the grimbook he owned.

Daniel reached out, but his touch t no flesh, only hollow air as his hand drifted through the body. Surprisingly, he could touch the book.

He lifted it, his expression flat and motionless.

Then he opened the book, but page after page was blank. Until the sixth page from the back, where sothing was written.

He read silently.

’Where there is good, there is bad. Where there is life, there is death. The one who accepts pain shall find rest, and the one who refuses it shall beco the Penitent,’ he whispered to himself.

Daniel read it over and over, trying to morize the words. Suddenly, a hand shot out and grabbed the book. His eyes followed the hand, and he saw himself in flesh, standing before him.

His left eye was glowing red.

The mont the other Daniel pulled the book from his grasp, his translucent body grew weak, and his vision began to fade. He collapsed onto the mountaintop, motionless.

Before the darkness swallowed him, he caught one last glimpse of another version of himself watching from below.

Then everything went black.
