"Grandpa, you are so strong." Damien asked, "Can't you take care of them?"

Damien's eyes were full of expectations when he looked at the Water Celestial. He was easily the strongest person he knew. His own father, who was secretly the third heavenly knight, one of the strongest five of the empire, held him in high regard. He thought that it would be easy for him to kill the shit out of the pesky bastards of the Alliance of Evil surrounding his body, even though he was injured.

The Water Celestial said in a casual tone, "They are so weak that I can kill them with a glance." He was talking about killing people without any change in his emotions, as if he was talking about buying vegetables from a hawker.

With those words, he confird Damien's suspicions.

"So you really can." Damien's eyes lit up when he heard the Water Celestial's words, showcasing that he was overjoyed to hear what he said. 'I guess I have nothing to worry about now."

"No, you are wrong."

"Huh?"

What the Water Celestial said next instantly diminished the light in Damien's eyes.

"As I am physically present in the Endless, it will take so ti to exit it and enter the Far West Continent. Not to ntion, it will take even more ti to pinpoint your location and get to you. But ti is what we lack the most. Don't forget you are only an instant away from getting caught by Death."

Damien staggered, hearing his words. It's exactly like what he said. Marty was infinitely close to chopping his head off from his shoulder.

"Basically, what you are trying to say is that won't be of any help to in this situation, right?" Damien pouted, feeling displeased, and he grumbled, "You are useless, grandpa."

The Water Celestial grabbed his chest, a painful look on his face. Damien's words pierced his heart like an arrow, making him almost cough up blood. He was the one revered as the Water Celestial throughout the seven skies and Earth. Yet, now he was called a useless thing by his own flesh and blood. He felt defeated.

The Water Celestial glanced at Damien and thought, 'Honestly, only he has the honor to call useless and still remain alive in this world.'

In front of this child, he felt helpless.

"I will be as accurate as possible from now on."

The Water Celestial sat down crosslegged and signaled Damien to sit down as well.

"According to my observation, the ti in the Endless flows trillions of tis slower than the Far West Major Realm. But once your consciousness steps of it, ti will flow regularly for you. The sa goes for . Once I exit the Endless, I will only have a millionth of a second to save you, which is the amount of ti I need to reenter the Major World." The Water Celestial said after Damien sat down opposite him. He could see him becoming depressed the more he talked, but he didn't let that stop him from laying bare the truth bare. "I might be a True being, but I am a severely injured one. Even the strongest amongst us, let's say, for example, soone like Yulran, won't be able to save you from such a long distance away in such little ti. True beings aren't omnipotent and omniscient."

Damien's mood took a big hit when he found out that even his grandpa didn't have a way to save him.

"Doesn't this an this is it for ?"

Damien was afraid that he would return to his dismbered corpse. The ti needed to return to the Far West Major World from the Endless was one-millionth of a second, and in that amount of ti, Marty would have his head.

"No, it's not as you think. Sure, I can't save you. But who said there isn't anyone who can't save you?" The Water Celestial said with a mysterious smile, bewildering Damien.

Damien looked at him in disbelief, "What are you trying to say, grandpa? Be clear. This concern my life."

"I said there's still soone who can save you."

The Water Celestial repeated himself as he looked at Damien unwavering.

Damien raised his head to et his eyes and asked, "Who?"

He was anticipating an answer and the Water Celestial gave him you.

He pointed at Damien and, in a voice bursting with confidence, said, "You!"

"?" Damien pointed at himself in confusion before he blurted, "You must be joking?!"

"I really an it. You et all the conditions necessary to accomplish the impossible. Rember when I said it would take one millionth of a second to renter the world? Well, that rule applies only to bodies of flesh and blood, not soone like you. Only your consciousness is present in the Endless. And consciousness can return to the world from here far faster than a physical body." The Water Celestial explained to Damien.

"Okay, I get it. You are playing ! What change would it make if my consciousness returned to my body before I am beheaded? There will indeed be a change. I will get to taste the feeling of being killed." Damien pointed at the many people that could be seen through the gap in the void. They are all experts. Even a single one of them can take on an army of awakened. I, on the other hand, only have the strength to tussle with magical beasts. Forget about opposing them, I don't have the strength to resist them."

In a fit of anger, Damien looked away from the celestial water, silently protesting.

'I have been misunderstood.' The Water Celestial sighed in his heart.

"Who said you lack the strength to overco them? Haven't you still realized why Chaos was targeting you? Its purpose was the sa purpose as theirs. It wanted to steal your innate powers."

The Water Celestial pulled him, making the little tiger sit on his lap.

Then, he gently coaxed him by patting his head.

This made Damien feel bad.

He felt like a villain for shouting at soone who was sincerely trying to help him.

"I have been that since I beca conscious, and because of it, I have been targeted many tis, and my life is a ss. But I have never felt it. I have called out to it countless tis. But it has never responded to . Do I even hate this power that half of the world is going crazy to obtain?" Damien said sadly while looking at his powerless hands.

They were closed into fists by the Water Celestial, who said, "You do have it. Even now, I can sense it. A great power flows within it, a power so great that it will strike fear in the heart of Gods."

Damien looked back in surprise. "Really? But why have I never been to feel it?"

"Because it was broken down and sealed deep within you by the heirloom of the Baldwin Clan, the Nine Draconian Seals." The Water Celestial answered calmly.

Damien felt like he had been wronged, and he asked, "Who did it, and why?!"

The Water Celestial felt his anger and shook his head, saying to him, "You shouldn't feel slighted. Your parents did it for your own good. Your power was too great for your body to handle. If they hadn't sealed it, you would have exploded before you were even one month old, and with that, you would have taken everything around you with you. It's so great that only a heaven-rank physique can contain it. It's regretful that you only have an Earth-ranked physique. But that should be enough for you to use it for a while."

"You are trying to say..." Damien uttered.

"Boy, tell this God, do you want to save yourself, stop feeling like a burden to your family, avenge your fallen comrades, and take revenge for everything they had done to you?"

The Water Celestial said this in the sa way a priest would recite a chant.

"Of course I do!" Damien nodded without hesitation.

The Water Celestial didn't do anything even after hearing his answer and continued calmly staring at him. His eyes, wavering occasionally, showed inexplicable emotions.

"This choice would cost you your life." He asked after breathing out a mouthful of foul air, "Are you sure you won't regret it?"

"Chaos ticulously constructed my fate. I didn't know, but now that I think about it, from the start of my life till now, I have been doing exactly what it wanted. All my life, I have been dancing in the palm of its hand. I couldn't decide how I lived. But I can at least decide how I die." Damien showed a weak but resolute smile. "I refuse to die while cowering in fear! If I am to die, I will die fighting."

"Well said." Just at that mont, the Water Celestial placed his hands on Damien's back and commanded, "Unseal what has been sealed and return to this God."

The next mont, Damien's power level surged to an unimaginable level, breaking common sense, and going beyond the known realms!
