Xiu Yan, who just happened to visit, looked at Ya Li disdainfully and said, "Magnanimity is a word that has absolutely no connection to you. You really misunderstand yourself."
Just think about the orc you beat until he couldn’t even recognize his own parents. You’re really magnanimous.
"Ya Li." Xiu Yan, whose eyes stung from the chili pepper kicked up by the orc in the yard, decisively made his presence known.
Ya Li, with his back to the yard gate, grumbled disdainfully, "What is it?"
"Co to my place for dinner, there’s sothing I need to discuss." With that, he turned and left.
Ya Li’s expression froze for a mont before he turned back with a brilliant smile, "owow, why don’t you go in and rest for a bit? I’ll clean up the yard and then go make so yummy food, alright?"
Even though she’d transford into an orc, owow’s foodie nature hadn’t changed a bit. The ntion of tasty food had her salivating instantly.
But...
She patted her round belly, still full from a recent al and sighed helplessly, "Alright, I’ll go rest and digest a bit before eating your food."
Ya Li nodded, watching the young female Orc go inside before taking off his beast skin top and hanging it on a branch. He then got to work tidying up the yard.
Xiu Yan always sorted things out on his own unless it was a significant issue. The orc’s face was now devoid of the previous brilliant smile, his eyes deep in thought. What could bother him so much?
After informing Ya Li of the appointed ti, Xiu Yan headed ho with a plump Gagabeast he had picked up outside soone’s house.
His yard was overrun with weeds, and his own Gagabeast had run off without him knowing. This one would make a good additional al for Nuannuan.
"Soone in the tribe is trying to replicate our brick-making clay?" Ji Nuan looked at Xiu Yan in surprise, "Could it be the youngsters and tribe mbers ssing with it for fun?"
"No." Xiu Yan shook his head, "That’s what I initially thought, but Fu Yi told that the clay used for each discovered artifact is different."
"That’s strange. Our tribe mbers would never do such a thing, which ans it must be an orc with ill-intentions from the new tribes that have joined us. This is truly troubleso."
Ji Nuan turned towards Xiu Yan, "Brother Xiu Yan, what are your thoughts on this?"
Xiu Yan turned to her, "I plan to handle this matter with Ya Li, and we’ll conduct the investigation privately. We can’t let the new tribe mbers know, or they’ll think we don’t trust them."
Ji Nuan nodded, "That’s what I thought too. We can’t let one orc ruin the relationship between our tribe mbers. I’m curious though, as they all swore to the Lord Beast God during the priest rituals, how could any orc still breach their vows?"
"If they breach their vows to the Lord Beast God, then we have no way of knowing if the secret of green clay is the only thing they’re after," Xiu Yan said in a low voice.
Ji Nuan rubbed her arms, "Why do I suddenly feel surrounded by danger? And we don’t even know if this orc is an evolved one."
He held Ji Nuan’s hand tightly, "What’s there to fear as long as I’m here?"
Gazing into Xiu Yan’s deep eyes, Ji Nuan chuckled, "I’m not afraid; I have Xiu Yan."
A soft smile played at the corner of Xiu Yan’s mouth as he lowered his gaze on the beaming Ji Nuan, "From now on, call by my na."
