Before the Orc could finish speaking, he was bitten in the throat by the poisonous snake resting on the old shaman’s shoulder. He collapsed, his face turning pitch-black, and in a short while, he had beco a dark corpse.
"Ah!!!!!" The females scread in terror.
The orcs also turned pale and hurriedly retreated.
At this mont, a large space had cleared around the old shaman, who stood, head bowed, with nothing but the hissing snake lifting its head and flicking its tongue.
He slowly raised his head towards Layla, "I had high hopes for you. I even thought that after my visit to the Beast God, I would let you take my place as the shaman. But I didn’t expect!"
No longer was there any kindness or anxiety for the tribe on his face. Instead, he was rather calm. "The Clan Leader, that old fool, even conspired with the forr shaman to give the position of shaman to another disciple. Why? Clearly, I am the one who studied better and knew more, am I not?"
"So you killed my father and the Shaman?" Mo Zha looked unbelievably at the elderly figure.
The old shaman laughed: "What? Are you going to avenge your father now? If I hadn’t killed those two old fools, you would never have beco Clan Leader. Because you are too incompetent. But for , a chieftain like you is easy to control. That’s why I killed your forr mate and made you the mate of my daughter. Look how good I’ve been to you."
"So, you killed my Amu in order to make your daughter the mate of the Clan Leader?" Layla gripped the Beast Fang necklace in her hand.
"Amu? You still call that female Amu? Your Amu is long dead," the old shaman sneered.
Layla’s face was calm, "Amu raised . She has always been kind to and to Mo Peisi. She is my Amu."
The old shaman stroked the slippery body of the snake, "If that is so, then I’ll send you to et your Amu."
With that, he pointed at Layla, made a strange noise in his mouth, and upon hearing the noise, the normally obedient snake, suddenly lifted its head and darted toward Layla in a streak of black.
The speed was such that, as an ordinary orc, Layla had no chance to dodge it. The stench from the snake’s mouth seed to fill Layla’s nostrils, causing a light dizziness in his head.
He closed his eyes with a bitter smile.
"I said, when are you going to co down, don’t you know you’re heavy?" A disgusted orc voice rang in his ear. Layla opened his eyes and looked towards the source of the voice.
Uh...
At this mont, he was actually lying on the back of a strapping orc. His face flushed with embarrassnt, he hastily hopped down.
"Thank you, ng Tai!"
ng Tai dismissed him with a wave of his hand, "You should get to the back. You’re a distraction."
Layla scratched his head awkwardly and then obediently scurried to the back.
"Old Shaman, which is more powerful, your poisonous snake or , the evolved orc?" ng Tai raised an eyebrow towards the sullen old shaman.
The old shaman laughed coldly, "Why not give it a try? Since you want to die, let you experience the real strength of my pet."
Strange noises again erged from his mouth, and in an instant, the snake changed its target, attacking ng Tai.
But before an evolved orc, the snake’s speed was simply too slow. Its nurous ferocious attacks were all avoided by ng Tai.
