ng Luo shook his head, his face serious: "When the beast charged at him, his tusks pierced him in many places, so he bled a lot."

Ji Nuan pressed her lips together: "Let examine him, then."

ng Luo nodded, proceeding to prop the orc’s head on his knee. Ji Nuan carefully lifted the orc’s clothes to reveal a robust body covered in wounds, both old and new. After a thorough examination, she eventually located a wound on the orc’s arm, currently wrapped in Beast Skin. The wound was still profusely bleeding, despite application of dicine.

Upon seeing this, ng Luo was puzzled: "This wound was bleeding heavily, so I imdiately applied so dicine and wrapped it in Beast Skin. Why is it still bleeding?"

Ji Nuan looked grave. Judging by the orc’s condition, it seed like an artery in his arm had been injured and that caused an extensive loss of blood...

She felt utterly powerless at the prospect of stitching up an artery...

Trying to smile reassuringly, she reached into a small pouch by her waist and retrieved a porcelain bottle. "When I left, I brought along so Divine Wood Powder. Let’s apply it to him and see if it can stop the bleeding."

Ji Nuan’s hands were trembling. She knew that even in China, arterial bleeding was a severe trauma that required imdiate hemostasis followed by surgical stitching at a hospital.

But her current situation only allowed her to silently pray in her heart, hoping that the miraculous Divine Wood Powder could prove effective and save this life.

The inclined bottle was abruptly grasped by a blood-stained hand. The orc had awakened, his pale lips curling upwards in a weak smile. "Thank... you... Ji Nuan... Shaman... I can already... feel... the Beast... Beast God... Lord Beast God’s... call..."

Struggling to lift his head, he looked towards the tear-stricken Shaman ng Luo: "Quick... return... to the tribe..."

The robust arm that could once hoist a Green Bull Beast dropped listlessly, devoid of all strength. It slumped onto the leaf-covered ground, the bright eyes closing slowly, the body cooling.

Ji Nuan watched the orc pass away helplessly. Her mind was buzzing, blank with shock. This was her first ti witnessing an orc’s death so closely, the feeling of helplessness filling her heart.

The trembling Shaman ng Luo adjusted the orc’s Beast Skin clothing, wiping the blood from his face, lightly arranging his hair.

Ji Nuan knelt silently on the side, sensing ng Luo’s profound sorrow. During their previous barbecue party, ng Luo had boasted about the three guardian orcs who had accompanied him since his days as a Shaman Disciple.

Their bond over several decades must have grown as strong as that of family mbers.

anwhile, the two orcs from the Monte Tribe finally managed to assist Xiu Yan and Ya Li in defeating the four beasts, before slaying the last beast together.

Upon reaching the tree, the orcs finally noticed sothing amiss with ng Luo and Ji Nuan. Both shamans were kneeling under the tree, their eyes red, beside a peacefully reclining orc who had ceased to breathe.

The two guardian orcs felt a jolt in their hearts and rushed over. Kneeling beside their fallen comrade, a wave of mourning washed over them.
