Hearing about a ferocious beast, Ya Li’s eyes brightened, jumping off of Xiu Yan and assuming full beast form. With a flick of his tail, he tossed the dozing kitten into Ji Nuan’s arms: "Xiu Yan, protect Ji Nuan. I’ll go and look."
With that, Ya Li dashed off like a streak of black light, disappearing in the mottled jungle up ahead.
Xiu Yan assud his Orc form, holding Ji Nuan in his arms as he followed and run forward in Ya Li’s steps. The site of the skirmish wasn’t too far from them. By the ti Xiu Yan and Ji Nuan arrived, Ya Li and two other Orcs were engaged in combat with five beasts.
Not too far away, a blood-drenched Orc stood protectively beside Shaman ng Luo. ng Luo was remarkably calm, taking herbs from his basket to treat the Orc’s wounds.
Ji Nuan’s eyes lit up, tapping Xiu Yan’s arm: "Brother Xiu Yan, it’s Shaman ng Luo, let us head there."
Although Xiu Yan scowled, he still led Ji Nuan over.
"You all stay here, I am going to help Ya Li." Initially, he thought Ya Li could handle it, but he realized upon arrival all five remaining beasts were all adult males.
With a stern look in his eyes, he transford into beast form and charged in.
With Xiu Yan joining in, the combat situation beca much easier. Two Orcs from the Monte Tribe were tead up against one beast, while the remaining four beasts were evenly distributed between Ya Li and Xiu Yan.
Over here, Ji Nuan, cradling the kitten, also reached Shaman ng Luo: "ng Luo, are you all right?"
Seeing Ji Nuan’s group approach, ng Luo felt a large weight lift off his shoulders. His facial expression relaxed slightly: "I’m alright, they’re protecting ."
He pointed out to an Orc in front of him with so worry: "He got hurt by the beast, he lost a lot of blood..."
His eyes were filled with concern.
Ji Nuan glanced around, pointed to a spot under a large tree: "Let’s go there first and check out her wounds."
ng Luo’s eyes brightened, and he prepared to help the Orc who had been shielding him. However, the mont he touched the body of the Orc, the massive creature tipped over.
Both Ji Nuan and ng Luo received a fright. ng Luo quickly half-carried the unconscious Orc and dragged him to the large tree Ji Nuan had pointed out. Ji Nuan put the kitten down: "w, wait for a mont. I’ll put – on this basket of herbs, then I’ll co to hold you."
The small kitten obediently sat on the ground, nodding.
Ji Nuan picked up ng Luo’s basket, bending down to pick up the kitten, not expecting the little guy to cooperate by standing on its hind legs and reaching out its fore paws.
Ji Nuan’s face changed, she imdiately hoisted the kitten up: "w, what’s wrong with you? There’s so much blood on you!"
The small kitten looked at Ji Nuan, puzzled, pointing towards the grass where it had crouched: "w~"
Ji Nuan squatted down touching the grass, her eyes suddenly changed. The liquid that had deeply penetrated into the grassland soil had dyed the surrounding soil a deep colour, causing Ji Nuan to feel choked, she could only breathe, unable to speak.
The whole grassland was soaked red with blood... whose blood it was...
She looked at the unconscious Orc who was under the tree, she ran over with the kitten, then knelt down: "Shaman ng Luo, where has this Orc gotten hurt?"
