"So that's it, huh, just gonna run away?" But he wasn't about to back down, not this ti, not when the entire script had been entirely rewritten.

Never in the history of Travelers has anyone been able to reconstruct a Barrier imdiately after its collapse. And it wasn't because of lack of trying; no, there were plenty of Formations Masters, Artifact Craftsn, and Mages who'd tried nurous tis, but not once had soone been able to create an Indestructible Barrier that works in the sa manner as the Newbie one.

But that was only part of the issues presented; for so reason, the natural laws or physics of Genovia wouldn't support a new barrier being brought up right after the collapse of one, newbie or not.

It was kind of weird, sure, but it was basically an accepted fact.

Yet sitting on his ass, staring at the slight shimr in the air, Aoni denied what he was seeing to be real.

"No, you didn…eh, I'm too weak?" smacking his lips and contemplating the last line of text on screen, Aoni rebutted with a hint of confusion and embarrassnt in his tone.

Now Explain to HOW IN THE FUCK THIS BARRIER IS RATIONAL!" huffing loudly, Aoni ignored the response that ca from his AN when he caught sight of two distinct blurs moving in his direction and didn't need to think about what they were.

"Gaoooo," sprinting in full furry missile mode, Glacia kicked off the ground and launched her body toward the Wall, took two steps, and cleared the top of the Rampart, landing beside Aoni and munching on so snacks stored in her satchel, completely unbothered by what was going on around her.

One mont, she was getting new foods; the next, she was forced to lay down belly first on the ground. Then, her little sister showed up and said to head ho for new tasks.

Sure, she nearly pissed the mont the pressure pushed her down; however, she had seen it enough tis now that although it was intimidating and kind of scary, Glacia figured it was rather harmless.

anwhile, a silent Nyria landed on the opposite side of Aoni from her sister, and upon touching down, she scanned the Lad from top to bottom, looking for any signs of discomfort or injuries.

Only once she was sure he was physically okay did she dive into his chest, looking for comfort.

The reformation of the Barrier had been entirely too scary for her, who was bombarded by strange feelings she couldn't quite rember.

"Everything is fine; while I have no freaking idea what the hell happened, a new barrier has been set up, but it's very different." Taking a mont to cuddle his summons, Aoni swiped a hand at the AN and gathered his thoughts before explaining their new situation.

"Basically, that weird pressure set up a new barrier, which…I guess you two saw, right, uh…I really don't know much about it, but what I can tell you so far is that nothing stronger than can co through without saying they can."

"Gaaaa…oooo~?" Staring up at Aoni with narrowed and accusatory eyes, Glacia seed to be saying only weak food.

"uh…so *COUGH* nothing over 2-Stars, like you guys can break through it, aning the Wall…" pausing his explanation and…

Smacking the Rampart for effect, Aoni did his best to work through things understandably for Glacia.

"We will be able to keep things out now, and we will have plenty of things to cook and harvest from now on."

'Brother…are you sure?' Nyria asked with a bit of fear showing in her eyes.

"Yeah, it's called an Adaptive Warding Formation, and while a lot of my questions about it are unanswered, the one thing I know for sure is nothing stronger than us can break it." Patting Nyria's head, Aoni thought back to the colossal figure he'd seen earlier; if the Barrier could stop that thing from coming over, it should easily be able to stop sothing significantly smaller like that weird furry insect behemoth.

"But just because stronger things can't get through, that doesn't an the weaker ones can't. Everything we've killed today has had a grade of either 1-Star or 2-Star and since they seed to make up a good majority of the enemies, we can assu it's gonna be pretty busy."

"Unfortunately, the Barrier won't stop them, as it registers us as being strong enough to handle them, no matter how many there are, but that's where the Wall cos in handy, so long as we keep it powered on, we have nothing to worry about.

Since he'd already tested the Rampart's Barrier and was aware that it was a one-way warding, where things could co out, but nothing could co in, Aoni knew that if push ca to shove and he needed to force his way out, he could just stand atop the Wall and blast away with Ice Bullets.

"Growllll…" Before the Lad could finish up his explanation, a low growl ca from around twenty feet away from the Wall, causing all three of them to lean forward and see what was causing it.

"Hm? Oh, it looks like we have company," Tilting his head to the side and looking down, he and his summons were surprised to find a single wolf standing at the base of the Wall, growling at them and deciding how best to attack.

"Gaooooooo~" jumping to her feet and shouting out an equally nacing sound as the wolf, Glacia was about to jump off and attack the bastard who was interrupting her snack ti, but before she could, Aoni caught her by the scruff and held her back.

"Chilllll, chillll, conserve your strength; I got this guy, BANG," patting Glacia's head twice, Aoni quickly made a finger gun and shot an Ice Bullet directly through the head of the 1-Star SnowWolf, killing it instantly.
