*"Where did that co from!?"* A kobold shouted to the top of its lungs, it crouched with it's arms down just like an animal.
"We can understand them," Lucas confird to everyone and drew out both of his swords from his waist.
The leather belt on his waist had beco a lot more better than before with the help of John.
There were many things attached to it. Five small vials of the potions, a small good quality dagger in a leather hilt. The belt was making him look like a professional hunter.
"ONE MORE!" Lucas shouted and another bullet shot toward the Kobolds. Many of them saw the bullet coming this ti yet no one could do anything.
The speed of the musket was high.
*"DODGE!"*
A kobold shouted yet another one of them was dead after getting pierced in the head by the mana bullet.
Lucas grinned seeing them all disoriented, there was so sort of happiness in their grievances that he could not quite understand why he felt.
"Jerry, use your shield well. Co!"
Lucas dashed forward toward the group of Kobolds that had no idea what they had got themselves into.
A big Kobold, bigger than all who were there moved forward and stood in front of them all.
*"Kill them all!"*
Lucas was running without any hesitation, his speed was even trying to increase with each step he took ahead. The others had been left behind, which was a good thing as they traveled slowly without taking any dangers on their heads.
Jerry was right beside Lucas trying his best to keep up with his speed which was a surprising developnt as Jerry was way bigger than Lucas.

Even the Kobold in front started to move on its fours with its eyes all murderous.
And finally, it pounced high making Lucas look at it with even more excitent.
He himself jumped with the two swords hungry for blood. His hands clenched very tightly making the sword's balance even more sturdy.
"Wait! I can't protect you if you fly!" Jerry said while looking at the other Kobolds moving toward him, there were six Kobolds who were heading in his direction.
CLANG!!
Lucas's swords clashed with the nails of the Kobold. He was surprised to see the length of its nails. They were big enough to hold his sword with even ground and not break with contact.
Lucas was still in the air while they started getting down. He was face to face with the big Kobold, his eyes filled with bloodlust of his own.
The Kobold could not break the eye contact, it was just sothing it had to hold. Lucas was intimidating it and the kobold could not take it as it was the leader of the whole kobold group.
*"Only one prey?"* A kobold among the six on the ground said with its long tongue out of the mouth. It looked very aloof and now that Jerry could understand them, he knew that monster was not taking him seriously at all.
*"Let handle it!"* The sa kobold said as it dashed way speedier than the other getting so grunts in the response. John had stabilized himself, his buckler ready to defend and the mace with reddish spikes ready to poke so holes in the monster's brain.
Yet before the Kobold could reach John, a shadow ca out of the running Kobold's shadow and a dagger swiped the next second.
THUD
All the Kobolds froze, seeing the man who just ca out of the darkness with dumbfoundedness, tit could be seen on their scaly faces.
Bill looked at his dagger covered in green blood and clicked his tongue not liking it getting all dirty.
Even John had frozen completely while looking at Bill who just stood there with no guard as if nothing had the ability to hurt him.
It all happened in seconds, Bill ca out of the kobold's shadow and cleanly split the monster's head with no extra movents.
*" What"* A KObold spoke as greeny veins started showing on its scaly face.
Bill looked at the Kobold and then at its hand, his eyes flashed with amusent for so reason.
"Shield yourself good, Jerry." He said and stood there silently waiting for sothing.
*" Brother! I can understand this prey!?"* Another KObold said from the back, it was smaller than the ones around it.
*"Shut up!"*
"Be careful" Bill said again without making much changes in his stance.
At first, Jerry didn't understand. It was his first ti seeing Bill fight like this. It was like he was a totally different person from the one that they had lived for many days at the start.
*"Get back!"* The Kobold shouted not caring enough of the fact that both sides could understand each other now.
Suddenly, the Kobold's hands started exuding steam which fell down as if it was heavy.
Soon, a small spike of ice ford in its hand.
"Well, shit." John had not taken into account that even the Kobolds could use tricks like these.
Till now, only the humans had the ability to use them in the creatures around them, it could be said that it was the first proper fight of the shelter with a group of monsters as intelligent as this one.
*"HAAHH!!"* The KObold threw the small spike with a smug-looking face, it was hard to understand the crocodile-like face's emotions but they were different from an actual crocodile. More expressive and emotion-filled than normal.
The Spike flew with unimaginable speed toward Bill, who at the right ti fell while staying stationed on the ground like a normal person. His technique of entering shadows was sothing like a heaven-defying fleeing technique that could let him get out of more than ordinary situations with ease.
The spike missed Bill and ca straight toward John who was already ready. His senses were also sothing to not take lightly.
SMASH!
CLUTTER
The spike hit the shield and shattered into small pieces just like normal snow.
John looked at his shield covered with shattered ice pieces and shook it.
There was a single dot in the whole tallic buckler and no more damage making him relieved.
