The King took an hour to finish his enlightennt.

Liu Wei and the Crown Prince waited in silence, afraid to disturb him.

Although Liu Wei knew that a casual chat with the Crown Prince would not disturb the King, seeing the Crown Prince staring intently at his father, he decided not to disturb both of them.

Finally, the mont the King awakened from his enlightennt, as his tears already dried on his cheeks, he finally regained clarity.

He tried to compose himself, feeling embarrassed after recalling that he wept earlier, and cleared his throat.

"I am very thankful to you, Liu Wei. This book not only saves , but the kingdom itself...

No, the mortal world."

Liu Wei was surprised.

He tried to make sense of the King’s words and his face turned solemn.

He asked, "It seems you want to disclose sothing, King.

Don’t hesitate to do so.

I might be able to extend my assistance."

Of course, Liu Wei knew he would be helpless if even the King himself was incapable against it.

But, he was itching to know.

The King smiled and said, "Let’s begin with our cultivation technique.

The core concept of the Blazing Sun Imperial Technique is for the human to embody the blazing sun.

The technique fuses Yang Qi with imperial intent, turning the cultivator’s Qi into miniature suns within their dantian, orbiting their core.

It is imparted by the Golden Crow himself, when our ancestor t him.

However, he suddenly forced a funeral ritual to every cultivator who cultivated his technique.

It was for their body to be offered to him.

For millenium, he had been eating my predecessors, who achieved the peak of the Core Formation rank, as he forbade us to cultivate other techniques to pursue higher rank.

And for so reason... despite so of my predecessors being talented enough to be accepted in so sects or factions in the Spirit Ascension Domain, the mont they understood our cultivation technique, they instantly turned their back on us.

Of course, so of my predecessors were dissatisfied. They were not content in simply ruling the kingdom. They wanted to explore the Spirit Ascension Domain.

Hence, they tried to abandon the cultivation technique and learned another cultivation technique that was given by the factions of the Spirit Ascension Domain.

However, it appeared that the cultivation technique already integrated into our bloodline.

Our predecessor who learned other cultivation techniques was suddenly engulfed by the fire that seed to originate inside their body.

Afterwards, the Golden Crow was suddenly enraged and warned us to wipe the whole kingdom if they ever tried to abandon him.

We were afraid.

That was then we started to investigate."

The King paused, closed his eyes and took a deep breath to continue.

"It turned out, the cultivation technique was a curse. According to our ancestor’s journal when he t him, the Golden Crow was already injured.

He descended from above.

Hence, it was not difficult to speculate that he has been using us to recuperate.

A millenium already passed and it appears he has not recovered yet, since he remained docile, as long as we don’t betray him again.

However, we are afraid that it won’t be long before he fully recovers and returns to the sky.

But, will he be satisfied with that?

Although, as much as I rember, beings above the Mortal World are bound by the restrictions and laws the mont they enter the Mortal World, it appears he can ignore it.

Hence, there might be a great calamity brewing in the Mortal World at the mont."

Liu Wei listened attentively and asked after pondering, "How can you be so sure that he will cause a great calamity in the Mortal World?"

The King lowered his head and his body shivered in fear.

He stuttered. "B-Because my predecessor wrote in his journal that he caught the Golden Crow, swearing to cause a massive destruction in the Mortal World, so the sects above would be greatly affected.

After all, most of the sects in the Spirit Ascension Domain established their branch in the Mortal World to not waste the geniuses to appear.

Furthermore, they relied on most of the abundant resources in the Mortal World. Hence, getting rid of them is like taking their legs out."

Liu Wei frowned, falling into deep contemplation.

There were still so questions that had not been answered yet.

The King continued, "For millenium, there were so beings in the Spirit Ascension Domain that would ignore the restrictions and laws of the Mortal World and wreak havoc. However, the punishnt of the Mortal World was powerful enough for them to be crippled and worst... die.

The fact that the Golden Crow seed to be adamant on recovering yet only to die in the punishnt on the Mortal World, when it appeared that his desire for revenge was directed to the Spirit Ascension Domain, doesn’t seem to be likely, right?

Hence, we could only assu that he could bypass the Mortal World’s punishnt."

Liu Wei then stared at the King with a grave expression and said, "Then, he’s not just any average being in the Spirit Ascension Domain.

It appears that he is trying to make the whole Spirit Ascension Domain his enemy.

If that is the case, then the Mortal World is really in danger."

The King was taken aback.

He clasped his hands tightly and felt the heavy pressure as a king of his nation... as well as the weight of the responsibility that was passed on by his predecessors, knowing the freedom was now in his hands.

Liu Wei, on the other hand, shook his head and sighed heavily.

He was helpless... totally so.

After all, it was in the Spirit Ascension Domain... and not just an ordinary one, too.

The Golden Crow would obviously be stronger than the Nascent Soul cultivator.

He even joked with the System.

’If he really wreaks havoc and we will be affected, System, will you be able to defend the library?’

The System snorted.

[You can increase the library’s defense by spending your System Points, of course.

If I don’t have a choice, then I have to forcefully drown you in debt again just to save your ass.]

Liu Wei rolled his eyes.

The Crown Prince interrupted him.

"Liu Wei... I’m afraid you will still be affected by this."

Liu Wei was startled.

He furrowed his eyebrows and asked, "Why?"

The Crown Prince smiled bitterly and raised his finger, suddenly turning them upside down, seemingly pointing below.

Liu Wei’s eyes widened.

His heart skipped a beat.

It did not take an idiot to understand what the Crown Prince ant.

The Golden Crow is here below the entire ti?
