5:30 a.m., Washington D.C, Georgetown, inside an unremarkable little building.

"Did you apprehend the relevant personnel?"

"Ready for interrogation at any ti?"

Beside the square dark brown wooden table, Ms. Ingeborg looked at Luo An in disbelief, while Trick Kennedy and Mr. Clent’s faces were also filled with amazent.

Beside them, Mr. Maximilian, who was full of wrinkles and leaning on a cane, was also montarily taken aback by Luo An’s words and smiled as he asked:

"Do you know who the other party is?"

"I don’t know that for now."

Luo An shook his head honestly, then added:

"However, during the investigation of this case, I did find so evidence that others are secretly ddling behind the scenes."

When Luo An initially took over this case, he indeed didn’t notice anything unusual. Initially, it was just two ordinary murder cases that caught attention because the perpetrators of the two cases were likely connected.

During the investigation, the appearance of similar inverted crosses and wooden necklaces made Luo An realize that there might be a significant problem behind the case.

The real mont Luo An sensed there was more unusual behind-the-scenes activity was when he received a text ssage to go to the cafe.

Walking into the cafe, Luo An imdiately, relying on his "emotion detection" in his mind, sensed a cold and unmasked malevolent intention to kill him.

That person was none other than Harries, standing in front wearing a leather jacket.

Later, in a small room eting Sister Ali, Luo An assud Harries’ emotions stemd from the sister’s orders.

But after Sister Ali proposed a condition, which Luo An pretended to agree to for the ti being, Harries’ malicious intent not only didn’t diminish but grew more intense.

During their negotiation, Harries also exhibited much impatience, and afterward, when Luo An fought back, Harries’ emotions beca much more agitated, giving the impression he could finally act and kill Luo An.

Sister Ali went through great lengths to bring Luo An for negotiation, obviously intending to have him under her control like a dog.

Harries, as Sister Ali’s subordinate, yet continuously harbored ideas of wanting to kill Luo An, led Luo An to many speculations.

For instance, Harries being ntally unstable, having personal vendettas through relatives or friends against Luo An, or Harries not being Sister Ali’s man but following soone else’s orders.

Regardless of the speculation, it signified that Harries had issues, so Luo An didn’t kill him on the spot but knocked him out and had Reesi secretly take him away, temporarily detaining him in a place only she could locate, for future interrogation.

Hearing Ms. Ingeborg’s words just now, Luo An imdiately recalled this incident and found that his guess was indeed correct.

There was soone behind Harries; he was an undercover agent in Sister Ali’s ranks, and the mysterious figure’s actual goal was to use Sister Ali’s hand to eliminate Luo An.

Luo An selectively recounted half of his discoveries and analysis.

Even so, after hearing Luo An’s description, Trick Kennedy was slightly slack-jawed, and Ms. Ingeborg looked at Luo An with a mix of suspicion and uncertainty.

Maximilian examined Luo An with an appreciative look for several seconds, then turned to the similarly shocked Mr. Clent and laughed, saying:

"Clent, Ingeborg was right; you really do have a luck that’s enviable."

Having worked in the White House for most of his life, Maximilian had t countless people, and to a seventy-four-year-old, even forty-year-olds were considered young.

Even so, it was the first ti Maximilian had seen soone like Luo An, with sharp perceptions, quick thinking, and exceptional combat skills, surpassing multiple adversaries with ease.

Additionally, Luo An lacked neither political acun nor knowledge of rules and how to exploit them.

Most importantly, Luo An was only in his twenties, not yet thirty, with decades ahead of him.

Thinking this through, a scarcely noticeable flash of envy crossed Maximilian’s eyes as he looked deeply at Luo An, patted his shoulder, and then left the room quietly with his cane.

Once Mr. Maximilian’s silhouette vanished, Ms. Ingeborg cautiously approached Luo An:

"You surprised today, Luo An."

Though slightly shorter, she ticulously scrutinized Luo An several tis, smiling as she gently smoothed out the creases on his shoulder fabric.

At last, Ms. Ingeborg pulled out a jet-black card with gold-embossed letters from her pocket and handed it to Luo An, smiling:

"Next month, there will be a dinner party at my estate. You and Trick should join. Rember to bring a lady friend."

"No problem, ma’am."

Luo An accepted the card, smilingly nodding:

"I certainly won’t miss it."

"Good."

Ingeborg’s smile grew more benevolent as she turned to Trick Kennedy, her smile fading, and cast him a sidelong glance saying:

"I truly wonder what Little Robert taught you... make sure to handle the subsequent matters well, don’t ss up again."

"Absolutely."

Trick Kennedy’s smile looked awkward, and Ms. Ingeborg didn’t say more, turning to lightly pat Luo An’s arm, leaving the room without a backward glance.

Now, only Luo An, Mr. Clent, and Trick Kennedy remained in the room. Luo An glanced around, about to speak, but Mr. Clent shook his head, leading the two out of the room.

An elderly white man, looking like a butler, stood at the door smiling as he handed Luo An back his weapons and equipnt, though the backpack was gone. Mr. Clent saw this but said nothing, leading Luo An and Trick toward the small building’s entrance.

Once outside on the street, Trick Kennedy patted Luo An’s shoulder apologetically but said nothing. He nodded to Mr. Clent before hastily running toward a car in the distance.

Mr. Clent waved down a car, which slowly ca to a stop in front of him:

"Luo An, ride with ."

"Yes, sir."

Luo An sat in the back seat of the car with Mr. Clent, the door closed, and their familiar secretary started the car moving slowly.

After several seconds of silence, Mr. Clent said:

"Trick just took that position, so he isn’t familiar with certain matters and didn’t react imdiately; it wasn’t intentional for you to take on this case, but soone predicted it and made use of it."

Luo An’s expression didn’t change as he asked:

"Sir, what exactly is going on?"

Luo An had detected there was soone targeting him behind this case, but he had yet to ascertain who that person was or why they were doing so, with so aspects still puzzling him without having interrogated Harries.

To Luo An’s question, Clent didn’t answer imdiately but counter-asked:

"Luo An, do you know where this is?"

Luo An glanced at the scenery outside the car window, answering:

"Northwest Washington D.C, Georgetown."

"Correct, Georgetown."

Mr. Clent nodded slightly, saying:

"Here, it’s only two miles from the White House, an eight-minute drive, with nurous notable political figures from Congress, the Supre Court, and the White House residing nearby.

Besides that, many Federation Governnt departnts’ ministers, deputy ministers, and key officials also live in this area."

Mr. Clent paused for a few seconds before finally turning to Luo An, smiling:

"Which is why so say Georgetown is the true political center of the Federation."
