Divine Champions…

Surprisingly, one of the hottest topics—right alongside the Eternal Challenge event itself—was none other than the Divine Champions. This tournant had put their power on full display, allowing the world to witness firsthand just how overwhelming their abilities truly were. And that? That was enough to make anyone envious, wishing they could wield that kind of strength themselves.

Take Stormbreaker, for example. His blessing allowed him to land a 100% critical hit on every single attack. Normally, critical hits would deal anywhere from 150% to an extre 450% damage multiplier. Now, imagine a player being able to unleash that kind of damage with every single strike!

That wasn't just a re blessing—it was a ga-breaking power boost. With damage amplification like that, Stormbreaker could tear through monsters effortlessly, farm resources with ease, and dominate in battle like no other. It was insane. And yet, that very blessing was also what ultimately forced him to surrender when he faced Broken.

The sheer cheat-like nature of these Divine Blessings was undeniable. They were so powerful that discussions exploded across the community—how could one beco a new Divine Champion? Was there a way to take the title from an existing one? Speculations and theories were everywhere.

Beyond that, the synergy between a player's class and their Divine Blessing made these players feel practically invincible. Two nas, in particular, stood out—Frostedge and Galactron. These two were considered untouchable, their strength on an entirely different level.

In fact, there were even rumors that Galactron had never died once in the ga.

That was just how absurdly powerful the Divine Champions—and the holders of high-grade classes—truly were.

"Soone is actually auctioning off their Divine Champion status? Damn! That's absurd," Booba said, shaking his head as the topic ca up in the lively discussion.

In this conversation, everyone was deliberately using their in-ga nas. Since not all of them were familiar with each other's real nas yet, sticking to their gaming aliases made things much easier.

"You're the one who literally bought soone's Divine Blessing before. Why are you surprised when the sa thing is being auctioned off now?" Elincia quipped, responding to her older brother with a smirk.

Indeed, one of the hottest topics lately was the news that a Divine Champion had put their status up for auction. Unsurprisingly, this had sparked massive interest—especially among the wealthiest players in Immortal Legacy.

"Soone from our side has to win it," Rember chid in, earning several nods of agreent from the others.

However, while the idea of acquiring a Divine Blessing from another player was tempting to so, it didn't sit well with everyone. Right after the discussion heated up, Goldrich finally spoke up, sharing his personal thoughts on the matter.

"A Divine Champion is useless if their Blessing doesn't match their personality, playstyle, or even their class," he said, leaning back. "Like, let's say… a Blessing suited for a blacksmith like Broken—it wouldn't work for soone who isn't into a production-class profession. If that person spends most of their ti hunting monsters instead, it would be a total waste." He shrugged. "So, personally? This Blessing doesn't really catch my interest."

Maylock then shared his own thoughts. "Goldrich's reasoning makes a lot of sense, and I have to agree with him. However, the actual thod of transferring a Divine Blessing to another player hasn't been officially confird yet. So far, it's still just a rumor—sothing nobody truly understands except for those who have experienced it firsthand. In our case, that would be Charlyn and Booba."

Rember chid in again. "Wait… are you saying that Charlyn and Booba obtained their blessings in different ways?"

"Not entirely different, but not exactly the sa either," Maylock replied.

At that, everyone instinctively turned their gaze toward Laura.

She blinked, montarily startled by the sudden shift of attention. For a second, it seed like she had been lost in her own thoughts, but now, faced with the expectant stares of the entire room, she quickly snapped back to the present and tried to compose herself.

"Seven!" Laura suddenly blurted out, looking visibly awkward.

The blonde, wavy-haired girl quickly followed up, trying to clarify her out-of-nowhere statent. "I an… I only killed my target because it was an assassination contract… and right after I killed him for the seventh ti, the Blessing was transferred to ."

Most of the people around the table nodded slowly. This was sothing Charlyn had already shared with the guild before, though so were hearing it directly from her for the first ti.

With Laura's explanation out of the way, all eyes naturally shifted to Booba. After all, he had openly claid that he, too, had acquired a Divine Blessing from another Divine Champion. More specifically, he had bought his status. But until now, Booba had never gone into detail about the actual process or how the Blessing was transferred.

"Was there no quest or anything involved, Laura?" Booyoung asked.

"Quest?" Laura echoed, tilting her head before shaking it. "No… There was no quest. It just transferred to —completely out of nowhere, no warning at all."

"Ah, I see the difference now," Booyoung said. "I got a quest after killing my target once, hahaha… A quest that told I needed to kill him a few more tis to inherit his status."

Hearing that, several people leaned in, intrigued. There was a clear difference in how Charlyn and Booba had obtained their Divine Blessings from their targets, and that raised even more questions about the chanics behind it.

Seeing the curious gazes from several people, Maylon quickly spoke up.

"That's exactly what I ant… Charlyn is the Envy Champion, and Booba is the Wrath Champion. For now, we can assu that this depends on the Deity that holds the Blessing. Maybe each deity has its own thod of transferring their Blessing to another. And possibly, they also have different conditions for granting their Blessings in the first place. But one thing is clear—blindly killing a Divine Champion over and over doesn't necessarily guarantee that their status will transfer."

Hearing Maylock's explanation made Leon reflect on how he had obtained his own Blessing from Goddess Akidia.

First, he had been the very first player to et a deity face-to-face—a fact that had been confird by the global achievent he received at that mont. No other Divine Champion from the player side had ever experienced anything like that before. This alone was proof that each deity had their own preferred thod of granting Blessings.

On top of that… There had been no new Sloth Champion since he was chosen. At least, not as far as the public knew. That fact alone confird that Broken had received a Blessing far beyond the usual standard for a Divine Champion.

While others had only received one skill upon becoming a Divine Champion, Broken had received five. Not only that, but he also possessed the Self-Transcendent Blessing, which had repeatedly granted him extraordinary boons.

If nothing else, this proved that each deity had their own unique rules for selecting and empowering their champions.

But… could soone actually take his Blessing if they killed him multiple tis in the ga?

At least once, Elincia had killed him before—back when they didn't know each other. Yet, judging by her account, no quest or special event had ever triggered—neither for her nor for Broken himself.

So, it was safe to say that the transfer thod for the Sloth Blessing was different from what had happened with Booba and his Wrath Blessing.

"So what's the conclusion?" Euna responded, her sharp gaze fixed on Maylon. "Are you saying there's sothing bigger behind all of this? I know you've been suspecting sothing for a while now."
