The match didn't last long. This ti, Leon managed to defeat his opponent in under a minute—an even shorter ti than when he faced his previous opponent, the Pride Champion.
With this victory, Leon secured his place as the group champion, guaranteeing his spot in the finals. Now, only four contestants remained: Broken, Frostedge, Elincia, and one more contestant.
If only Livelywood had been placed in a different bracket from Elincia, he might have had a chance to beco a group champion as well. That would have ant even more players from the Vensalor Guild making it to the finals. Still, having two out of the four finalists as mbers of Vensalor Guild was already an incredible achievent. In truth, many mbers of Vensalor Guild had risen through the competition with impressive victories. Even though they weren't officially representing the guild, most people still recognized them by their in-ga identities.
Beyond that, there were other factors shaping the competition in this first official event. For one, not all of Immortal Legacy's top players had participated. Many powerful players—both well-known and those who had chosen not to register on the leaderboards—had yet to make an appearance.
Since this was only the first official event, the number of participants would likely grow in the coming years, making future competitions even more intense. That was an exciting prospect.
Even now, how many Divine Champions had Leon encountered? He had lost count. This was the first ti he had ever faced so many Divine Champions in a single competition—far more than he had ever t in the ga itself.
With that…
Leon would be facing Elincia in the semifinals in just three days. And he was genuinely excited for this match. Not because he was desperate to win or anything like that, but because standing on the sa stage in an official tournant, facing off against soone he personally knew in the ga, sounded like an incredibly fun experience.
In fact, Leon actually wanted to compete against his own companions or guild mbers in other events, like the Raid Race or even a team battle. That would be thrilling—probably even more exciting than this entire tournant.
At the very least, the finals were shaping up to be sothing extraordinary, especially for Leon. Not only would he be facing Elincia, but there was also a strong chance he would go up against Frostedge in the final match! And because of that, Leon had no intention of holding back against Elincia. He would secure his spot in the final—because, yes, he was certain Han Feng, or Frostedge, would also keep his promise.
This official final would be sothing truly special. It would bring Leon an incredible sense of excitent, especially since Frostedge was an opponent he had been looking forward to facing. After all, in their first sparring match, Frostedge should have won—if only he hadn't logged out of the system.
With this final battle ahead, Leon had one goal in mind. He had to make sure their score beca 1-1!
Later that day, two new arrivals appeared at the venue. One was a man with dyed blue hair and the other was a young woman, seemingly three years younger, with long, straight black hair. Both had distinctly Asian features, and their faces were instantly recognizable to Leon.
It was Tora and Toya. These two had actually flown all the way from Southeast Asia just to be here at the venue. And yes, they really were like siblings in real life, too.
"Mr. London covered our flight expenses," Tora said with a wide grin.
The woman standing beside him, Toya, gave a small bow and smiled. Her deanor in person wasn't too different from how she was in the ga—intelligent, reserved, and soone who only spoke when necessary.
"Nice to et you, Broken," Toya said.
"Nice to et you both as well," Leon responded. "Let's go. I think the others have arranged yet another party and dinner for the guild mbers." He gestured for them to follow, along with Freya and King, who were also with him.
Well, Tora and Toya weren't their real nas, but for this eting, they had specifically asked to be called by their in-ga nas. It made everything feel more like they were still inside the ga—an odd logic, but Leon didn't particularly mind.
And as expected, London had gone the extra mile to bring as many people here as possible. He had covered everything—the flights, accommodations, and even their expenses while staying. It was almost ridiculous how much money he seed willing to spend.
Their dinner gathering that night had definitely been taken to the next level. Sohow—who knew whose idea this was—the entire cost had been covered by a sponsor. An entire restaurant had been rented out exclusively to host Leon and the rest of the Vensalor Guild mbers.
Of course, a few non-guild mbers were present as well, including so of their family mbers. King had brought his wife and daughter, while Maylon had also brought his own daughter.
The fact that the restaurant covered the entire dinner for them was nothing short of incredible. Just imagine—seated around the large table with Leon were people widely recognized by many. If they weren't outright celebrities like Heejin, then they were people from insanely wealthy families, like Euna and Booyoung, or high-profile business figures like Ronald.
Among them was also Juliette, the leader of Northstar, who went by the in-ga na PussyCat. She had joined the gathering as well.
And for the first ti, Leon finally t the person behind Forev—the last mber completing the trio of Rember, PussyCat, and Forev. It turned out that Forev was actually PussyCat's personal assistant, which explained why she was always seen close to the wealthy CEO's daughter, ensuring that all her needs were t and taken care of.
So ti later, more people started joining the gathering. This ti, it was Lucy—yes, Uncle Ben's fiancée. She arrived with several of her companions from the guild, all of whom had now migrated to Slumdon Town.
Unfortunately, Uncle Ben wasn't able to make it that night, which Leon found a little disappointing. He had wanted to share this mont with him. Maybe he would just arrange a private get-together later, as he always did, with Lily and their uncle.
As more people arrived, Leon found himself eting faces he still wasn't quite used to seeing in the real world. Livelywood, for example, looked incredibly refined and polished—like a young, wealthy aristocrat. Then there was Trison, who was infamous in the ga for being a heavy drinker, but in reality, he was just an ordinary college student working his way through university.
Soon, the large table was completely filled, and the room buzzed with lively conversations. Surprisingly, despite the overwhelming number of people, Leon felt completely at ease among these remarkable individuals.
Then, all at once, everyone raised their glasses and turned toward him.
Leon chuckled, lifting his own glass. "Thanks for this incredible gathering. I hope we can keep this going for a long ti—next year, and for many more years to co."
Toss!
"All hail King Broken! All hail Vensalor Guild."
Laughter erupted across the room, filling the space with warmth and energy.
Just how…
Just how had everything changed so drastically for Leon?
In less than a year, his life had transford completely. From soone who had struggled just to get by, he was now surrounded by these incredible people—becoming part of their world, belonging among them, and, more than anything, becoming soone who mattered.
