Broken and Frostedge were monts away from landing their first direct hits on Galactron.
The Wavebreaker Spear and Frostedge's sword closed in, poised to deliver a devastating blow—a combination of physical and magical damage.
Galactron appeared utterly unprotected, with no magic shield to guard him. This was it.
Just as the spear and sword were about to strike his neck, Galactron smiled faintly.
Their instincts flared to life. Both Broken and Frostedge halted their attacks mid-swing, leaping backward just in ti.
A massive explosion of green and shadow energy erupted from Galactron, unleashing a violent force that sent ripples across the battlefield. In an instant, dozens—no, hundreds—of skeletons materialized around him.
"Damn it!" Broken growled. "Is he really this hard to kill?!"
But sothing was different this ti. The skeletal warriors didn't charge at them. Instead, they converged on Galactron, wrapping themselves tightly around him to form a massive cocoon of bone and shadow, encasing the Necromancer completely.
Broken imdiately swapped out his Wavebreaker Spear for the Bedrock Breaker Pickaxe, understanding what needed to be done.
At the sa mont, Frostedge launched himself back into the fray.
"Broken, he's going to teleport away!" Frostedge shouted.
Broken nodded grimly and activated his skill.
[Terra Fury (Active Skill) activated.]
[Unleashes the full power of the earth, dealing 2000% physical damage to a single target and causing a series of aftershocks that deal 1000% physical damage to all nearby enemies.]
Broken slamd the pickaxe into the cocoon with all his might, the ground beneath them trembling violently from the impact.
Frostedge followed up imdiately, unleashing a massive slash of icy energy, freezing the cocoon as his attacks struck repeatedly. The battlefield was consud by a storm of shattering ice, waves of destruction, and booming impacts.
BBBB-BOOM! BBB-BOOM! CR-STRAKC—CRASH!
The combined power of their attacks sent both fighters hurtling backward, the force of their own efforts throwing them off balance. The skeletal cocoon shattered into pieces, bones scattering across the battlefield in every direction.
Then, the shattered skeleton pieces began to sink into the ground, disappearing as though being swallowed by the earth itself.
When the dust settled, their target—Galactron—was gone.
Broken scanned the area, his grip tightening on his weapon. There was no sign of the Necromancer, no trace of his presence. Frostedge, breathing heavily, also confird there was nothing left.
The battle was over.
Despite their relentless efforts, they had failed to kill Galactron.
Even with the combined might of two Divine Champions and a Unique-grade Class wielder, the cunning Necromancer had slipped through their grasp.
But if Galactron possessed an escape skill as powerful as this—an instantaneous teleportation ability—then just how could anyone hope to kill him?
With his overwhelming offensive potential, combined with his incredible mobility and near-perfect escape chanisms, Galactron wasn't just a powerful opponent.
He was a monster.
Broken turned toward Frostedge, letting out a sigh and shaking his head.
Frostedge chuckled softly. "We lost him."
"He's got plenty of tricks up his sleeve," Broken replied.
Frostedge nodded. "This was my first ti fighting him."
Broken tilted his head slightly. "He's the Guild Master of a top guild. Aren't you worried they'll co after you for getting involved in this ss?"
Frostedge smirked and shook his head. "I'd actually welco it. No, scratch that—I'd be thrilled if they ca after ," he said before pausing. "What I an is… I love these kinds of high-intensity battles. If they can offer sothing interesting, I wouldn't mind at all."
"You've got so interesting tastes, Frostedge."
Frostedge gave a polite bow. "Anyway, thanks for the opportunity. It's been… fun."
Broken and Frostedge exchanged quiet laughs after the intense battle.
Though they had failed to defeat their opponent, the fight itself had been nothing short of breathtaking.
It was their first ti working as a duo, yet their synergy had been remarkable. Despite the chaos, the battle unfolded with a sense of precision that highlighted their strengths.
Frostedge had showcased his exceptional skill and versatility, offering crucial support to Broken while ensuring the overall flow of the fight remained strategic and controlled. His contributions were seamless, a testant to his mastery.
He had lived up to his legendary reputation, and not once did it falter.
Not long after, Rember and the others approached, joining Broken and Frostedge amidst the aftermath of the battle.
"Woah, that was an insanely cool fight!" Rember exclaid. "Hahaha, you guys should've seen how hyped everyone was watching it live!"
Broken and Frostedge turned to face them as Freya spoke up.
"Well," she said with a casual shrug, "Frostedge, we'll be sharing the broadcast revenue with you, of course."
Frostedge blinked, looking slightly surprised. "But…"
"No worries," Freya interrupted with a small grin. "I'll even share so of it with Galactron."
Broken frowned, raising an eyebrow. "I didn't realize that was necessary."
Freya chuckled lightly. "It's not about necessity. I doubt Galactron even cares about the money. This is more about… keeping things smooth, you know? Just to avoid any unnecessary trouble."
"Everything okay on that front?"
Freya winked. "No worries! I'm great at handling things like this. Consider it handled."
Broken summoned Beebot once more, and the group climbed aboard the crawling carriage. Now loaded with six passengers, the vehicle creaked slightly under the added weight but moved steadily across the desert.
As they settled in, Broken turned to Freya. "What's the overall progress?"
Freya nodded, bringing up several floating screens in front of them. The displays showed updates from the capital, including the intense battle where Ivana and Elincia were engaged against one of the Horde of Hell's mbers.
"Pawpaw ntioned earlier that Princess Alora is in danger."
Freya gave a quick nod. "Yes, there's a strong chance she's being confronted by one of the Gluttony Champions, too."
"Who's most likely to be it?"
Freya paused, considering for a mont. "If their goal is to delay and stall for ti, I'd guess it's SpeedGang, the one you defeated a while back. He's perfect for this kind of tactic—setting up a domain that restricts everything and tips the scales entirely in his favor."
Broken nodded, his gaze narrowing. "That might explain why Lionell and rcy haven't been able to assist Princess Alora."
Freya sighed. "If that's the case, it ans they're playing a long ga to isolate and drag things out. And SpeedGang's domains are notorious for being nearly impossible to break."
Their attention shifted back to the floating screen, where Elincia and Ivana were locked in battle with Akiko.
"These Gluttony Champions are such a pain in the ass," Rember muttered, crossing his arms in frustration.
"We need to figure out how her blessing works," Forev added.
The group watched as the battle unfolded, their eyes narrowing at every move Akiko made.
"With Ivana's defensive skills, they shouldn't be taking heavy hits from soone like Akiko," Freya observed.
"But…" she continued, "her mysterious blessing is sohow nullifying their attacks entirely. Nothing they do seems to work on her."
"Just how?" Freya sighed. "We need to figure out how her power works and find a way to counter it."
Rember, still watching the fight, suddenly turned toward Frostedge, who was sitting quietly at the back of the carriage.
"Hey, man," Rember called out. "Have you ever fought soone like her? Or maybe her specifically? Do you have any idea how her blessing works?"
All eyes turned to Frostedge, waiting to see if the swordsman had an insight that could turn the tide.
