Ben stepped closer to Leon and Lily, greeting them warmly. He gave Leon a firm hug before turning to embrace Lily, who shot him a curious look.
With a broad smile, Ben gestured to the woman beside him. "Allow to introduce Lucy. She's going to be my wife." Turning to Lucy, he added, "Lucy, these are my beloved nephew and niece, Leon and Lily. I hope you all can get to know each other well."
For a mont, Ben paused, noticing sothing odd in Lily's expression. "Have you two t before?" he asked.
Lily hesitated briefly, then forced a light laugh. "Uhm... Haha... No, I must have been mistaken, Uncle," she replied, offering a small grin.
Lucy gave a shy smile, extending her hand to shake theirs. "It's lovely to et you both. I hope I'll have the chance to get to know you better. Ben has told so many wonderful things about you. He's so proud of you both!"
Ben led them to the reserved table. As they walked, Lily moved closer to Leon, leaning in to whisper discreetly.
"Leon, she's Lucy..." she murmured.
"Who?" Leon whispered back, confused.
"The Guild Master of FairyTool," Lily clarified. "The one who orchestrated the assault on Slumdon Town."
Leon's brows furrowed as he replied in a hushed tone, "How do you know that, Lily?"
"I rember her face from the live-stream broadcast," she said firmly, glancing cautiously toward Lucy.
Leon's mind raced as the realization sank in. The woman responsible for organizing two major attacks on Slumdon Town-both of which had ended in failure was now standing right in front of him. And she was about to marry his Uncle Ben.
Oh, damn. What a ridiculous coincidence. She's my enemy in the ga, but now we're being brought together like this? Damn!
As they began their dinner, Ben, as always, took the opportunity to catch up with Leon and Lily, sothing he prioritized every ti they t.
"You've really beco soone extraordinary, Leon," Ben said with a wide smile.
"Not really, Uncle," Leon replied casually. "I'm just playing a ga."
Ben suddenly perked up as if a thought had struck him. He turned to Lucy, resting a hand gently on her back.
"Oh! I just rembered," he said. "Lucy plays the sa ga as you, Leon. What's it called? Immortal Legacy, right?"
Leon gave a slow nod at Ben's words. Lily, sitting nearby, watched him intently, waiting for how he'd respond.
Lucy spoke up before Leon could. "Not really," she said smoothly, giving Ben a polite smile. "I just play as a hobby."
Ben turned back to Leon. "Have you ever heard of Lucy before, Broken? She's a pretty well- known live strear with tons of followers."
Lucy added in a quieter voice, "Not really... It's nothing big." She offered a shy smile.
"I think that ga sounds really interesting," Ben continued. "I've been aning to try it out myself, haha. Lucy even told about a ti she was teaching so arrogant player a lesson
"Ben!" Lucy interjected abruptly, cutting him off mid-sentence. "I really like the food here," she added with a forced smile, trying to redirect the conversation.
Lily couldn't suppress a small chuckle, clearly picking up on Lucy's awkwardness. anwhile, Leon sat silently, unsure how to react to Ben's words and Lucy's sudden interruption.
The mont was broken by the sound of a phone ringing. The call ca from Ben's direction. He glanced at the screen before deciding to silence the device and placed it back down.
"Uncle Ben... It's alright," Lily said gently.
"No, this is an important mont for ," Ben replied.
However, the phone rang again, and with a sigh, Ben picked it up to check the caller.
"It's okay, Uncle Ben," Lily reassured him with a soft smile.
Ben muttered under his breath, "Ah, I hate this." He looked at the group apologetically. "I'm sorry, I need to take this. Just a few minutes," he said, before standing and stepping away to handle the call.
After Ben walked away, an awkward silence hung heavy over the table. Until, Lucy finally broke it. She clasped her palms together, pressing them to her forehead as she spoke in a pleading tone.
"I'm sorry... Leon... Please don't let Ben know about the issues between us in the ga..." Her voice trembled slightly as she continued. "I had no idea you were Ben's nephew. I know I acted irresponsibly toward you in the ga, and I'm truly sorry. I'll do whatever it takes for you to forgive ."
Lily's lips twitched into a small smile as she watched Lucy's earnest attempt to make ands, though she remained silent.
Leon leaned back slightly, "So, you really are Lucy from Valantar City?"
Lucy nodded slowly, her gaze dropping to the table.
"Yes, that's ..." she admitted. "I deeply regret the loss of two of your knights and the destruction of hos in Slumdon Town. I... I'll do everything I can to make it right," she added.
"Are you apologizing only because I'm Uncle Ben's nephew, Lucy?"
Lucy shook her head quickly. "No, not at all... I would offer the sa apology to anyone I t outside the ga. I'm not as bold in real life as I am in the ga. I did all of that... just to get viewers and sponsors."
Leon's eyes narrowed slightly. "Why, of all people, did you decide to attack my town? I've never even known you before, and I've certainly never had any issues with you."
Lucy took a deep breath, steadying herself before finally eting his gaze. "I did it for the money, Leon... That's the only reason."
Leon's voice lowered as he replied. "Aren't you a famous live strear? Don't you already make money from your profession? Why would you need to go to such lengths?"
Lily, sitting quietly, observed the exchange with growing curiosity.
"Yes..." Lucy admitted slowly. "A large portion of my inco goes toward covering my mother's dical expenses. And because I love the gaming world, I've been trying to increase my earnings so I don't end up being a burden to Ben with my hobbies and responsibilities later on."
She paused, taking a breath before continuing. "But I understand that my personal reasons don't justify troubling or harming others. I take full responsibility for my actions and admit
my mistake."
Lily broke the silence. "Leon... Knowing you, I'm sure you're planning to seek revenge on Lucy and her allies, right? I can't imagine you letting this go without a response. You're going to attack Valantar City, aren't you?"
Leon's expression turned somber, his voice slow but firm. "Yes, that's exactly what I've
planned."
Lucy nodded slowly.
"I understand this is a risk I have to take," she said. "But after learning more about you, Leon,
I'm hoping we can resolve this without creating more victims. I know it's foolish of to
ask."
Leon regarded her for a mont before responding. "I don't think this has to end in the typical way," he said, though his voice trailed off, leaving his aning ambiguous. Lucy tilted her head slightly. "Are you about to make an offer, Leon? Is there another way I can make ands? If it's money you need, I'm afraid I can't provide it. But I can help you in other ways if it would make a difference."
Leon's lips curved into a faint smile. "That might work in my favor," he said. "Tell , Lucy, was Constantine involved in the attack? What role did he play in your assault on Slumdon
Town?"
"Constantine?" Lucy repeated softly, her brows furrowing as if trying to process the question. "Why him?"
