Chapter 84: Chapters 84 and 85 “Ordinary” Mariti Disaster Chapter 84: Chapters 84 and 85 “Ordinary” Mariti Disaster “Help!”
“Run!”
“The sea monster is eating people!” The fishing boat had descended into chaos.
Witnessing his own brother being devoured, Tanaka Jiro’s face turned pale, but he didn’t scream. Instead, he imdiately rushed to the wheelhouse and hurriedly used the satellite phone to call for rescue.
“This is the fishing vessel Tanaka, we are being attacked by a sea monster, requesting support! Coordinates (XX)!” After Tanaka Jiro sent out the distress signal, he didn’t forget to record a video with his phone.
In the video, he saw the “sea monster” relishing the hunt, leisurely preying on the crew.
So crew mbers, terrified, jumped directly into the sea, but it seed there were other creatures in the water. Those who were skilled swimrs disappeared without a trace as soon as they hit the water.
“Hello, hello, this is the Security Hall, are you sure you’ve encountered a sea monster?” The operator was skeptical, are there really any sea monsters?
However, Tanaka Jiro had no energy left to reply.
“I must escape back!” Amidst the chaos, he ran to the lifeboat at the stern of the ship, leaped aboard, and imdiately started the engine.
“Save !” Another crew mber tried to join him but was pounced on by the monster.
Tanaka Jiro did not look back, he just started the lifeboat and dashed forward.
Behind him were the screams of the crew! He looked back to see the monster eating people, its eyeless head turned towards Tanaka Jiro, its gaping maw splitting open as half a human head rolled onto the deck. It seed to be laughing, mocking!
This scene was deeply etched into Tanaka Jiro’s mind, an unforgettable horror for the rest of his life!
At this ti, at Sakura Sea Guard Hall, the operator reported the distress information.
“Are you sure it’s a distress signal from Tanaka? It’s not a prank?” asked Kojima Hiko, the person in charge.
“We checked the port information and the declaration records; Tanaka is indeed fishing in the nearby waters at this ti. The signal is correct; as for the sea monster, it might be a large marine creature,” the operator was unsure, “Anyway, the vessel is in trouble.”
“Dispatch the rescue team imdiately!” Kojima Hiko ordered, and his subordinates imdiately carried out the instructions, “Wait!”
Kojima Hiko thought for a mont and then added, “Deploy a surface patrol ship and a surveillance aircraft.”
“Captain, it’s just a fishing boat rescue, is that necessary?” one subordinate was puzzled.
“Carry out the mission!” Kojima Hiko did not explain. He always had an uneasy feeling.
He didn’t really believe in sea monsters, but the frequent appearance of deford marine life in the nearby waters had always made him uneasy.
Kojima Hiko himself also joined the rescue team, boarding the surveillance airplane and heading straight for the target area.
Half an hour later, they arrived at the destination.
“Commander, target located!” the pilot shouted, “Tanaka is sinking!”
In their view, a midsize fishing vessel, with half of its hull already below the waterline.
“Tanaka calling Tanaka, this is the Mariti Security Hall, we are conducting a rescue mission!” The communication officer was still trying to contact the crew on board Tanaka, but there was no response.
“Get closer! Check the situation!” Kojima Hiko ordered.
The surveillance airplane began to descend slowly, and Kojima Hiko, with binoculars, could almost see the situation clearly.
Just one glance, and his face changed dramatically!
The deck was covered in blood! Normally, this is quite common on fishing boats, as so deep-sea fish are not easy to preserve, so they are often processed right on the deck.
But the blood here was not from fish but from humans! Because he clearly saw human limbs scattered about, seemingly cruelly killed by so creature!
“What… what happened?” Kojima Hiko’s voice trembled.
“Captain, look, the sea monster, it’s a sea monster!” the pilot cried out in terror.
As the aircraft continued to approach, they could see on the deck a monster nearly five ters long, with a black carapace on its back and thorn-like spines, eyeless, with claws and a big mouth, now munching on its al.
And what it was eating, vaguely visible, was a part of the human body!
“There really is a sea monster!” Kojima Hiko was going insane, what species was this, why had he never heard of it before?
This bloody, brutal scene was unbearable to watch!
“The crew, I’m afraid they’re all gone!” The pilot’s hands trembled uncontrollably.
At this mont, the “sea monster” had noticed them, it roared angrily at the airplane, then tore off part of the ship’s hull and threw it at the plane.
“Ascend, ascend!” Kojima Hiko shouted, “Call for reinforcents, take it out, no, capture it!”
The surveillance plane was only equipped with machine guns, and a team mber imdiately manned the machine gun, opening fire on the sea monster.
Bullets poured down, and the sea monster was injured; it beca even more furious, leaping dozens of ters high!
This sight sent Kojima Hiko and his team into a sheer panic — could this thing really jump that high?
“Run!” At this point, Kojima Hiko had lost all will to fight.
The plane continued to climb, the pilot’s palms were sweaty, but fortunately, the sea monster couldn’t jump so high and could only roar angrily at them.
Then ca the sound of the patrol ship, support was imminent.
“Hurry and support us, bombard that creature!” Kojima Hiko shouted into the communication device.
The crew on the patrol ship suppressed their shock and began shelling.
The first shells did not hit the sea monster, but hit the wreckage of Tanaka, causing a violent explosion.
Seeing this, the sea monster dived into the sea, disappearing without a trace.
