Chapter 114: End of the Road
BOOM, BOOM, BOOM!
The white rays of light broke the air. These white rays contained a scorchingly high temperature as though they were able to disintegrate everything in the world.
Under the white rays, a multitude of things would be completely disintegrated into their most basic atoms.
The pyrolysis particle cannons were large-scale weapons of calamity that were forbidden for usage by the various governnts of the Interstellar Era.
But since the Giant Pharmaceutical Company had sent out an army of clones, the Mars Revolutionary Army saw no reason to be polite and showed their trump card.
Those powerful clones all disintegrated into particles together with their military equipnt when they were hit by the blasts from the pyrolysis particle cannons. The clone army suffered heavy casualties.
As this location was near their original base, the Mars Revolutionary Army had almost unending waves of reinforcents.
The Giant Pharmaceutical Company was defeated again and again and almost half of the gigantic Shitai City was already occupied by the Mars Revolutionary Army.
The battle situation was rapidly changing.
Even for Feng Lin who was greatly responsible for this internal warfare, he felt that it was sowhat unbelievable.
Ever since he exterminated those people to prevent future trouble, Feng Lin had been keeping a low profile in the Giant Pharmaceutical Company.
BOOM!
The door to the underground laboratory suddenly opened.
Feng Lin glanced over only to see Frank with an extrely heavy expression on his face. He walked in with a group of people.
These people were all clad in a white-colored chinese-style unlined garnt, and there were even clone soldiers standing in two rows escorting them. Among those in white, Feng Lin even saw Aike. Right now, for so unknown reason, one of Aike’s arms was severed off. He only had one arm left and his countenance was pale white.
This group appeared like a group of defeated dogs, no longer as high-spirited as they were when they were conducting human experints in the past.
Frank walked to the front of the crowd as he revealed an earth-shattering truth. “Everyone, we have lost. The Giant Pharmaceutical Company have already lost all our bases of operations. We are the only ones left!”
“What? How is it possible for our Giant Pharmaceutical Company to lose?”
“What should we do? We have to escape. If we are captured by the Mars Revolutionary Army, all of us would die.”
“But we are underground and like birds trapped inside a cage. There’s basically no way for us to escape!”

Cries of alarm sounded in the underground laboratory. These egg-humans were all extrely terrified, and all logic had already flown out of their heads.
The Giant Pharmaceutical Company was mortal enemies with the Mars Revolutionary Army. If they landed in the hands of the Mars Revolutionary Army, their fate would be extrely dire. Before this, they did human experintations and on paper, those human test subjects were all death convicts. However, in reality, they were all captives from Mars Revolutionary Army.
One could say that the hands of the Giant Pharmaceutical Company were stained with the blood of the Mars Revolutionary Army. Hence, if they were captured, they didn’t even dare to think of what would happen to them.
Earlier when they were experinting on humans, they didn’t feel what they were doing was cruel at all. Yet now, all of them were so frightened.
The emotions of fear and panic quickly spread through the crowd. Before their eyes, all they could see was darkness if they continued walking on this path. They felt boundless despair.
Feng Lin stood among them, but his expressions remained largely unchanged. He didn’t show too much panic.
With his cultivation base, there was no worry in his heart.
This was also the benefits of having strength.
He had a certain amount of confidence in himself. No matter how difficult the situation might be, he had the hope of turning things around.

Facing the looks of fear and panic of the researchers around him, Manager Frank actually had a calm look on his face as though he felt extrely confident.
His eyes swept over the researchers and when he noticed that Feng Lin didn’t have much panic or fear on his face, he nodded with admiration and continued to speak, “Everyone, there’s no need to panic. What’s fortunate is that our company still have a private flying shuttle. We can exit from a secret tunnel under the largest volcano, Olympus Volcano! You guys are the elites of our Giant Pharmaceutical Company; we can leave here together. As long we survive, we can always rebuild the Giant Pharmaceutical Company!”
A glimr of light at one’s darkest hours.
“As expected of the Manager, he had a contingency plan no matter what!”
“That’s right, those who died are low-grade researchers who have no idea of true advanced scientific techniques. With us surviving, we can definitely rebuild the Giant Pharmaceutical Company!”
“What are we waiting for? The Mars Revolutionary Army is going to attack us soon. Let us leave as soon as possible!”

Everyone was extrely impatient, wanting to leave right away, not wanting to stay for even a single mont longer.
Yet, Feng Lin remained silent. Because when Frank said his speech, he didn’t actually specify anything about everyone leaving together. There was naturally a deeper aning to his words.
The impatience everyone felt caused the atmosphere to grow tenser, yet Frank simply stood at his original location with a cold expression on his face.
“Unfortunately, the space shuttle is a small-scale one, and we can only fit fifty people inside there. Everyone, I’m sorry. Our Giant Pharmaceutical Company doesn’t need trash. Only those of true talent can leave here with !”
“What?” Cries of shock filled the air.
A single thought leading to heaven, a single thought leading to hell.
Just when they were all still feeling very happy, the situation suddenly changed.
There were still over a hundred researchers who were present now. Didn’t that an more than half of the people here wouldn’t be able to leave this place?
If they could leave here, it ant that they would survive. Naturally, if they stayed, it ant death.
Nobody knew who would die or who would survive. The atmosphere instantly turned quiet and felt incredibly heavy.
Frank didn’t care about their reactions. He activated his id microchip and showed a list of nas. After that, he shouted, “Andrew!”
“Many thanks, Manager Frank. After leaving here, I will definitely work hard to rebuild the Giant Pharmaceutical Company!” A thin white male with blonde hair had a look of wild joy on his face, thinking that he had been chosen to leave here.
But the next instant, Frank’s words made his heart fall into the bottom of the valley.
“Andrew, your achievents are too weak. You cannot leave with us!”
“Manager Frank, you can’t do this. I’ve designed a plan for developnt after studying the ancient divine dicine!” Andrew protested with reluctance.
“But was it effective?” Frank coldly spoke, as though sentencing Andrew to his death.
Andrew started to scream.
Frank didn’t want to hear his whining any longer. Pointing his finger at Andrew, two clone soldiers walked out and captured him with ease.
The floor panels silently opened, revealing a tallic passageway that led straight to Mars’s core. Over there, lava was churning wildly. If one fell into it, not even their bones would remain.
Andrew was completely terrorized. He begged, “I don’t want to leave now, I’ll just stay here, okay? Quickly release !”
“No.” Frank had no emotions on his face. “You know too many secrets, and we can’t allow you to fall into the hands of the Mars Revolutionary Army. I apologize.”
With a gesture, the clone soldiers tossed Andrew into the passageway. Screams of agony rent the air as he fell into the lava. However, everything soon returned to silence.
“Lear!” Frank continued calling out nas. A chubby white male scread. He turned and wanted to flee but was instantly captured by the clone soldiers. He was like a squealing pig as they tossed him down the passageway. Not even his bones remained.
“Krosov!”
“Zhang Tianfei!”
“Saburo Enomoto!”

Frank continued reading out the nas of the list. He was like a god of death, pronouncing judgnt on the mortals. Once one’s na was ntioned, that person was destined to die miserably.
These fragile researchers were naturally helpless before these muscular clones. They were like dumplings being tossed down into hot soup.
The other researchers stood at their original locations, trembling badly. They simply watched as their colleagues died a horrible death, but no one dared to raise any objections. If not, if their own nas were called out because Frank was irritated, they would truly have died an unjust death.
Since the Giant Pharmaceutical Company was at the end of its path, these people naturally also had no more places to go.
Feng Lin coldly watched everything. A look of panic appeared on his face, yet he was coldly laughing in his heart.
These clones originally were created by the researchers through experints. Yet now, they were dying to the things they had created. It seed apt sohow.
What a great irony!
