"Ehhh, Liam has magic? Since when... wait! Did you awaken the night I moved in? Is it my fault? No, wait! That wouldn’t have happened—"

For so reason, Bianca sounded more shocked than she looked once she heard about Liam having magic.

Liam had not wanted to tell her, but the younger female had just been there when Elder Erin and Liam reached ho, and she had seen Liam’s invitation letter to the academy.

Since Bianca had been a part of the magic world for so ti, it was a given that she knew about the academy. She recognized the letter at once and connected the dots.

"There is no need to sound so surprised, Bianca. Magic is sothing we are still trying to make heads and tails of. It is a given that we don’t know much about it and end up discovering sothing new. Liam’s case is just another mystery we have to resolve."

Elder Erin cald Bianca down, and his words worked like a charm.

"Ah, you are right. Looks like I got far too excited. Sorry about that. Anyway, when are you ending your break? I will prepare accordingly and join you as a senior student. It is about ti I end my break as well."

Bianca assured Liam with a smile on her face.

Liam tried not to feel surprised to hear Bianca’s words. Bianca was young, and there was a solid chance that she was connected to the academy.

But still, having a gut feeling about it was different from actually knowing that Bianca was a student of the academy as well.

And a senior one at that.

That ant that she would be Liam’s senior at the academy once he joined.

’Fuck, this is annoying. This also ans that I will have to tell her about my identity and the false na I will be using in the academy.’

Sohow, telling Bianca about his ’other identity’ felt different than telling Elder Erin. Liam was much more reluctant to tell her about it.

But in the end, he did end up revealing to Bianca who he was. But unlike with Elder Erin, he did not tell her much about it.

Thankfully, it did not seem as if Bianca minded this either. She looked mostly indifferent, and her eyes seed as if they couldn’t care less.

Finally, this topic seed to be over, and Liam went to sleep. The next week was going to be a busy one, and Liam wanted to be in top condition before he started it.

The next morning, Liam woke up at his usual ti and went for practice. But unlike other days, Elder Erin was awake as well, and he decided to join Liam for his training.

Liam felt a little reluctant to have soone with him, but he knew he needed to get used to it quickly.

There would be many more people in the academy who wanted to get into his business, and Liam would likely not be able to keep them all away from him.

Still, Liam held back his powers and only did physical workouts with Elder Erin around. He wanted to hide his magic and its mastery for as long as possible.

He had shown so of his capabilities in the test, but the more he was underestimated, the better he would be able to fly under the radar.

______

Liam trained with Elder Erin for a few days, following the elder’s guidance through basic magic control exercises.

Though Liam was far beyond that stage, he humored the elder by going through the motions. If nothing else, it helped him build muscle mory and reinforce his core strength.

Morning training with Elder Erin beca a routine, but in the evenings, Liam did his real training—pushing his magic beyond its limits, practicing precise control, and testing new applications.

He worked in secrecy, ensuring that no one, not even Elder Erin, knew just how much he had progressed.

A week passed quickly.

he day had finally arrived for Liam to officially enter the academy.

He was being introduced as a mid-term transfer student—a first-year, despite already having more experience than most students in his supposed rank.

The thought made him self-conscious, but he decided to approach it with a practical mindset.

’I’ll just treat it like college. If I think of it like that, maybe it won’t be so frustrating.’

He followed Elder Erin to the academy gates, his nerves hidden behind a neutral expression.

The academy was massive—larger than he had expected, even though he had read about it. Towering structures of white stone stood against the sky, intricate runes glowing faintly on their surfaces.

The main building had a gothic, cathedral-like appearance, and Liam could feel the powerful enchantnts woven into its foundation.

Students bustled around in uniform, their robes embroidered with different insignias that likely signified their ranks or departnts.

So of them threw curious glances in his direction, whispering among themselves. He ignored them.

Elder Erin stopped at the entrance, turning to face Liam with an unreadable expression.

"This is where I leave you. If you want anything, then co and tell . But try to do things mostly on your own and not get into trouble."

The elder said, handing Liam a small, ornate card. It had the barest hints of magic and it reassured Liam a bit to hold it.

Liam looked down. It was his official academy ID—marked with the na Nico Vale. This was his new identity in the magic world and sothing that would protect the ’real him’ until he was ready to use his real na.

"From here on out, you’re on your own. Give it your best, and don’t do anything reckless."

Liam hesitated for a mont before nodding.

"I’ll be fine."

Even so, a feeling of unease settled in his chest as Elder Erin walked away. He hadn’t expected to feel so... alone.

But he quickly shook it off. He had prepared for this. This was what he wanted. He would be fine.
