Under the burning holy light, darkness erupted, shrouding the nearby clouds in an inky blackness. Vesuvius flapped his colossal wings, each beat sending out gravitational shockwaves that tore through the heavens, knocking down countless lesser angels like leaves in a storm.
With a roar, Vesuvius ignited, his purplish solar flas intertwining with the demonic dragon's bright red fire. The sky itself seed to burn, consuming the heavens in a fiery inferno.
The white buildings lted, the white clouds dissipated, and the white light diminished under the purple and crimson hue.
'Two dragon kings fighting in a single battle—that has never happened before.' Vesuvius couldn't help but want to fight with all his might, unwilling to show less power than the demonic dragon.
Suddenly, an enormous beam of light shot out from nowhere, colliding with the demonic dragon in a cataclysmic explosion of light and crimson fire. Smoke rose and steam hissed, with countless glowing sparks flying everywhere.
"Who dares! Grahh!" An enraged roar cut through the chaos, followed by a clarion trumpet and an ethereal voice, "It's , Gabriel! Today I will extinguish your eternal wrath, corrupted dragon."
"You insignificant insect! I will tear your wings off one by one!" The seven-headed dragon erged from the flas, its fury propelling it forward.
Vesuvius's attention was directed to a rapidly approaching holy aura caught by his senses. Only a thousandth of a second later, an enormous burning spear pierced through the sky toward him, cloaked in silver flas.
A barrier of burning darkness and warped space ford in front of him, its divine energy giving it a golden glow.
The spear and the barrier clashed, detonating in a shower of silver and golden sparks.
'Like before.'
Unlike his encounter with the dwarven earth god's avatar, Vesuvius was now adept with his new powers. Instantly, countless blazing stars and pitch-black black holes sprang to life across his domain, forming a massive magical formation.
He no longer spent ti arranging stars, he now instantly summoned the circuit he wanted with his domain—his super-accelerated thoughts allowing him to weave the spells at once.
Energy surged between them, the imnse power of his star fueling them up.
A tall, beautiful man with flowing blonde hair appeared, clad in silver and gold armor, a winged helt on his head, and nine pairs of burning wings cascading down his back like a fiery cloak.
Ti seed to slow, the world around turning almost to a crawl as Vesuvius ticulously analyzed the situation.
'Mikhail, the angel of courage. In heaven, angels have access to an almost infinite supply of divine energy.' Vesuvius felt a headache building, knowing he faced one of the most dangerous angels. At least he was prepared, aware of the angel's most troubleso power.
'The stronger the foe, the more courage one needs to face them, and the more courageous he becos, the stronger he will be.' Vesuvius felt a twinge of bitterness, facing soone who grew stronger with every challenge, like a protagonist gaining endless power-ups against all odds.
Ti resud, and the massive spell array flared to life. Each star pulsed, forming an enormous barrier around Vesuvius and the vault below, shimring with the darkness of black holes and the brightness of stars in a srizing display.
Lances of light, beams of heavenly fire, and bolts of holy lightning struck the barrier from every direction, sending ripples across its surface. The angelic army gathered around, arranging themselves into formations under the command of lord-level angels.
Vesuvius opened his mouth, gathering energy within, while more stars and black holes materialized around him, their gravity and space warping under intense pressure.
Mikhail vanished from sight, reappearing with a sonic boom as he drove his sword into the barrier, unleashing a massive shockwave of silver flas that erased all clouds in sight.
The angel blurred, swinging his blade again and again, the divine power at its edge growing stronger and more blindingly bright with each strike.
Under the strain, Vesuvius's horns lit up, and the barrier strengthened as a crown materialized above his head. And, at last, he exhaled his gathered breath, unleashing an enormous beam of darkness that seed to suck in all light as it swept away the angel of bravery.
He turned his neck, sweeping the beam through the angels swarming him, sucking them into its destructive path like a giant blade forged from a black hole.
Yet more angels arrived, their countless domains overlapping, their collective light growing brighter and brighter, pushing against Vesuvius's darkness. He closed his mouth, already charging another breath, the hot sensation thrilling him.
'This is the power I always wanted! To face against armies of heaven straight in heaven!'
The eighteen-winged angel burst from the darkness again, his sword blazing even brighter as he struck the barrier with a thunderous clap—the strike stronger then ever before.
The barrier trembled as the blade of light and fire clashed with the wall of darkness and fla.
'He truly grows stronger!'
Vesuvius felt his divine energy draining like a river to support the barrier. He drew more energy, tapping into his stars. The barrier and his domain expanded like an enormous bubble, devouring the angels in its path, using them as fuel to grow stronger, and pushing back the eighteen-winged angel.
Mikhail's body cracked under the force, and his armor shattered.
Yet Vesuvius remained vigilant as a second magical array of stars flickered to life. Simultaneously, silver flas and light gathered into an enormous, towering form of a monstrous angel, burning with flas around its countless eyes and whip-like tongues of light moving alongside its eighteen enormous wings.
'So this is your true form.' A beam erupted from the dragon's mouth, all the stars linking together to empower it with a massive magic formation. Simultaneously, the monstrous angel brought down its blade against the incoming beam, light, and darkness colliding with earth-shaking force.
