She had never heard anything about a child from Annelise.

Suddenly, she recalled the news in the socialite circle a few days ago.

They said June Winter pulled Annelise to jump off a building because of a child.

This was sothing spread by a mysterious person in the circle, known to very few.

She only heard it as gossip at a gathering.

At the ti, she wondered, when Annelise was with her, she never ntioned having any child with Chase Perry; she thought it was just a rumor.

Unexpectedly, she saw this child in Elias Warner’s villa today.

She had to find June Winter to ask what was going on.

Kybourne Hospital

June Winter’s Ward

Mrs. Winter had been staying with June Winter, despite being unwell herself.

She felt she owed a lot to this daughter before her.

These days, she had been constantly accompanying June Winter.

She comforted her emotions, though she didn’t know why June Winter would jump from the eighth floor of The Airline.

But she heard it was related to Annelise.

She hated Annelise to the core.

Like Vincent Winter’s thoughts, not her biological daughter; no matter what, she raised an ungrateful wretch.

Luckily, the Winter Family had already cut ties with Annelise.

"Knock, knock, knock."

There was a knock on the door.

Mrs. Winter opened the door to see Sylvia Lowell.

Sylvia stood outside, smiling and greeting, "Can I talk to June Winter?"

June Winter hastily asked, "Sylvia Lowell? What are you doing here?"

Mrs. Winter invited Sylvia to sit down.

Sylvia looked at June, hesitating to speak.

Mrs. Winter quickly smiled, "You two chat, I’ll go out and buy so water!"

The room was left with only the two of them.

June Winter said bluntly, "Sylvia Lowell, are you here to gloat? Your good friend only got minor injuries, while I am severely injured and bedridden!"

Sylvia shook her head, "I just want to ask you, why did you pull Annelise to jump? What really happened?"

June’s mood had just improved a bit, but upon ntioning this, she said nothing.

"You’re asking ? Why don’t you go ask your good friend?"

June gave a wry smile.

She didn’t want anyone to know about Chase Perry and Annelise’s child.

Sylvia grabbed June’s hand, "Annelise and I broke it off long ago, you know that. Elias and I are engaged!"

June rembered Sylvia ordering a dance partner at the bar last ti.

She understood imdiately.

"So, when you ordered a dance partner at the bar last ti, did you do it on purpose? Did you already know that this dancer Poppy was Annelise?"

June was amazed.

"Yes, I did, so can you tell why you pulled Annelise to jump off the building? Maybe we can be on the sa side!"

Sylvia looked intently at June.

She thought June wouldn’t refuse her.

After all, June had always been hostile toward Annelise, not to ntion back then, the matter between Annelise and Chase Perry might have made June resentful?

At worst, Annelise stole her identity and enjoyed the life she should have had for over twenty years.

June looked at Sylvia and pulled her hand back from Sylvia’s grasp.

She had always known about Sylvia’s existence.

She just wondered how Annelise could have such a good friend by her side initially.

Even the Winter Family had already severed ties with Annelise.

Annelise had beco a genuine clown in the socialite circle.

Even though the matter between Annelise and Chase Perry had caused an uproar.

Sylvia had always stayed by Annelise, never leaving her side.

Ha!

Turns out, Sylvia was never a good person.

Annelise, oh Annelise, look at you, truly pathetic.

June’s mood suddenly brightened.

Although she didn’t like Sylvia.

Soone with such scheming stayed by Annelise for ten years; that’s ten years!

How terrifying.

June couldn’t help but shiver.

"You... what do you want to ask ?"

"Why did you pull Annelise to jump off the building? Do you know that Annelise has a child? We can use this child!"

Sylvia had already begun her plan.

Even if Annelise’s child is Elias Warner’s, so what? What she couldn’t have, others shouldn’t even think about it.

"How do you know that!"

June was shocked.

Not many people knew about this matter.

At that ti, she took the child to The Airline, but no one confird that the child was Annelise’s.

She never told anyone.

Could it be Chloe Joyce?

Impossible!

Chloe didn’t even know about this; even if she did, it would be speculation. Sylvia’s tone, obviously, confird that the child was Annelise’s.

"So why did you pull Annelise to jump because of the child? How silly are you? We can reveal the child’s matters and let Annelise be scorned by everyone!"

"So, your purpose in finding is to make reveal to the dia that Annelise has a child? Impossible! That child is Chase Perry and Annelise’s child; if I reveal the child, then Chase Perry..."

June couldn’t bear to think about what would happen afterward.

She thought of Chase’s gaze at Annelise again.

It’s possible that Chase would hate her for this and want a divorce.

No! Absolutely not!

"No, I will definitely not reveal the child’s matter to the dia!" June rejected.

"What? Are you saying that the child is Chase Perry and Annelise Winter’s child? Are you sure?" Sylvia was shocked.

On closer thought, that child indeed sowhat resembles Chase Perry.

Could it be that I’ve got it wrong?

Elias Warner wasn’t lying, that child isn’t his?

Most likely, otherwise, June Winter wouldn’t be so agitated to the point of pulling Annelise Winter to jump off a building.

It seems June Winter has confird the identity of this child.

"Don’t worry, I’ll handle this matter!"

Sylvia’s mood was completely different from the beginning.

June Winter looked at Sylvia’s departing figure and shouted, "No, you can’t expose the child’s identity!"

But Sylvia completely ignored her.

June Winter was a bit angry.

This Sylvia, she really doesn’t care about other people’s feelings at all.

But she had no way to deal with Sylvia now. If Sylvia really exposed it, what would she do?

She hurriedly wanted to sit up from the bed.

But her legs couldn’t muster any strength.

In her agitation, she fell off the bed, crying from the pain.

Mrs. Winter heard the commotion from outside and imdiately ran over to help June Winter up.

"June, what’s wrong with you? Why are you so suddenly agitated? What exactly happened? That Miss Lowell, I saw her leave, what did you guys say? Did she do sothing to you?"

Mrs. Winter looked June Winter up and down.

June Winter started sobbing.

"Mom, help , help , I don’t want to divorce Chase Perry!"

"Divorce? What’s going on? Why do you want to divorce?"

Mrs. Winter also beca agitated.

"I... Sylvia wants to expose Annelise’s secret!"

"Expose Annelise’s secret? What nonsense are you talking about? Isn’t Sylvia Annelise’s good girlfriend? Why would she expose Annelise’s secret? You’re confusing !"

"Mom, this Sylvia is not at all Annelise’s good friend, she’s too cunning. She just tricked , she... anyway, you have to stop her, don’t let her expose Annelise’s secret!"

"Okay, okay, don’t worry, I’ll stop Sylvia, just tell slowly."

Mrs. Winter patted June Winter on the back, with concern.

Mansion

Beads of sweat were falling from Elias Warner’s forehead, and he felt his throat parched.

His whole body was unbearably hot.

His entire body felt like it was about to explode.

Luna stood cautiously in the corner, looking at Elias Warner, and asked with concern, "Daddy, what’s wrong? Should I call a doctor?"

She used her little hand to touch Elias Warner’s flushed cheek.

She asked with deep concern.

"Daddy’s fine, Daddy just feels unwell and needs to rest. Go find Mommy and go to sleep quickly!"

Elias Warner glanced at Luna’s bedroom.

He thought to himself, this woman really has a big heart, the noise outside even woke up Luna, and she showed no reaction at all.

"I understand, Daddy, if you need help, just let know!"

Luna reluctantly left Elias Warner’s side.

Feeling relieved only after seeing Luna enter her room.

But the scorching heat made him quickly run back to his room.

His staggering figure was seen by Luna through the crack of the door.

She hurriedly ran to Annelise’s side.

Annelise hadn’t fallen asleep, she was aware that Sylvia was outside.

She was just worried that Sylvia might see her, so she didn’t go out.

Initially, she tried to hold Luna back, but didn’t anticipate the little one sneaking out.

"Luna, how could you sneak out!"

Annelise was a bit angry, as being seen by Sylvia could cause unnecessary trouble.

But if she had also gone out at that ti, it would have been even more troubleso.

Hopefully, Luna’s identity won’t be questioned.

"Mom, it’s because Daddy is sick. You should go check on Daddy, I’m really worried about him!"

"Daddy is sick?"

Annelise frowned, she had been there the whole ti, so how did she not notice Elias Warner was sick?

How could he suddenly beco ill out of nowhere?

She was a bit concerned about Elias Warner.

"Mom, I saw that bad aunt, it must be her. I saw a bowl next to Daddy, and there was soup in it! That bad aunt must have done sothing to the soup, that’s how it always is on TV!"

Could it be...

Annelise was a bit worried.

"Mom, quickly, quickly go check on Daddy!"

Luna pushed and nudged Annelise, forcing her out of the room.

Annelise also worried about Luna’s situation.

At this mont.

Elias Warner’s room

Elias was showering in the bathroom, hoping to use cool water to relieve the feeling of unease.

But this drug was just too strong.

Damn it!

He bit his lips until they bled.

It seed everything was against him.

"Mm..." he groaned softly.

No matter what he did, he couldn’t quell the heat inside him.

He could only stagger out of the bathroom and collapse onto the bed, groaning.

Annelise had reached Elias Warner’s door.

She could clearly hear Elias Warner’s groaning sound.

She frowned.

Knocked on the door, but there was no response.

Noting that the door was slightly ajar, she braced herself and walked in.
