Uesugi Sakura looked at the flickering orange-yellow flas of the campfire and smiled, reaching out to gently add so wood to the fire:

"I vaguely know that you all care about , but I don’t see myself as very important. If I don’t find myself important, I feel embarrassed to trouble you too much."

Hanamaru Hanabi, who was turning the grilled steak with tongs, looked over at Uesugi Sakura.

His cheeks were illuminated by the golden glow of the campfire.

The girl stared at him and said:

"Hanabi thinks the old Sakura seed very lonely."

"Yeah," Uesugi Sakura nodded, admitting, "a bit."

"At that ti, Hanabi really wanted to help Sakura, but didn’t know how... "

Uesugi Sakura heard her concern, turned to the girl, and smiled as he said: "Back then, you just needed to give yourself to , and with you, I promise I wouldn’t feel lonely again."

"But," Hanamaru Hanabi replied weakly, "even if Hanabi confessed back then... maybe Sakura wouldn’t have accepted."

"Not necessarily."

Uesugi Sakura rested his hands on his knees, his eyes reflecting the image of the girl by the campfire, "At that ti, I was indifferent, even if a ’little sister’ confessed to , I might have accepted."

"Feels... that kind of Sakura is really irresponsible..." Hanamaru Hanabi said.

"Whether I’m responsible or not, you’d only find out after agreeing... I think even if I didn’t like myself much back then..."

Uesugi Sakura rembered the day he confessed.

"When I confessed to you, Hanabi, I wasn’t sure how things would develop. I thought being with a girl I’ve known for twelve years, life in the future... wouldn’t be too bad.

"Looking back now, it was the right choice, I’m happy."

As Uesugi Sakura spoke these words, he occasionally recalled past mories, unable to resist smiling.

"How’s the steak coming along?"

Hanamaru Hanabi held the tongs with her right hand: "Mmm, after adding rosemary and black pepper, it just needs a little more grilling, how do you like it cooked, Sakura?"

"dium well, fully cooked is too tough."

"Okay."

Hanamaru Hanabi answered softly, the tender red steak sizzled under her manipulation, the fresh scent of rosemary mixed with the steak’s aroma filled the air, savory and fragrant.

"What’s the aning of rosemary?" Uesugi Sakura asked, intrigued by the unique scent.

"Hanabi knows this, it’s rembrance." Hanamaru Hanabi replied while plating the grilled steak.

"Hmm, rembrance," Uesugi Sakura nodded, accepting the steak she handed him, "I won’t forget the promises you’ve made to , please keep your love for forever, miss , rember ."

Uesugi Sakura stared at the steak on the plate:

"Using flowers as symbols is an ancient tradition. People from Ancient Greece even attributed special anings to each flower, often about love, hoping to subtly express their thoughts. Fascinating, isn’t it?"

Hanamaru Hanabi: "So, when did the language of flowers start to spread?"

"I don’t know when rosemary’s aning started to spread, no one knows, but at least when Shakespeare wrote ’Hamlet’, rosemary had the aning of ’rembrance.’ Nowadays, from florists’ lips, it naturally gained many anings, sotis a single flower can have dozens of different anings."

"Here," Hanamaru Hanabi handed him a knife and fork, "it seems Sakura always knows so strange knowledge."

"I’m a humanities student, naturally, I co across so strange things by chance, after all, that’s what I study."

Uesugi Sakura held the plate and looked around, realizing they were missing sothing to set the plate on, "Did we not bring the folding table?"

Hanamaru Hanabi suddenly realized and covered her mouth: "Seems like we really didn’t, should we go buy one across the lake?"

"No need to go to that trouble."

Uesugi Sakura said, moving his seat from the small stool, placing the plate on it, squatting down, and using the knife and fork to cut a piece of steak.

He used the fork to pick up a dium-well steak and offered it to Hanamaru Hanabi:

"As a reward, and as a husband’s care for his wife, little Hanabi, you eat first."

"Sakura using the steak Hanabi grilled to reward Hanabi... feels weird..."

"Haha, don’t mind those details, co, you eat first, I’ll feed you."

Hanamaru Hanabi looked at his smiling expression, puffed her cheeks, and closed her eyes.

Her little mouth bit forward, and Uesugi Sakura lightly pulled back, the fork wrapped by her lips slid out of her mouth.

Uesugi Sakura: "Feels like feeding a little baby."

"Sakura wants a little baby?" Hanamaru Hanabi said with bright eyes while eating the steak.

"Pretend I didn’t say anything." Uesugi Sakura quickly looked down and cut another piece to feed himself.

"Feels like Sakura is very reluctant about little babies, why is that? The child of Hanabi and Sakura would be really, really cute!" Hanamaru Hanabi saw him cut another piece of steak and offered it to her, taking a bite, "Mmm, even if not cute, Hanabi would love them dearly."

Uesugi Sakura retracted the fork after feeding her, speared a new cut piece of steak, and put it into his mouth, "If we have a baby, what would happen to ?"

Hanamaru Hanabi’s mind didn’t turn around, it took her a while to understand what he was saying, and she adorably laughed: "Sakura is actually jealous of his own child!"

"You say that, but if we have a son, who clings to you and is your sweetheart, there’s nothing wrong. But if we have a daughter, and Hanabi sees her clinging to every day, you’d surely get jealous too."
